I’m glad that people compare me with an actor like Fahadh Faasil: Shane Nigam
Shane Nigam is easily one of the most talented among the younger generation of actors in Malayalam cinema. He has showcased his terrific acting skills in films like Kismath, C/O Saira Banu and more recently in Soubin Shahir’s Parava. The youngster’s performance in Parava won him rave reviews from all corners.
Shane is one among the rare breed of natural actors. He is effortless while performing emotional scenes, which is generally considered as the toughest thing to do in front of a camera. His tear jerking portrayal of a helpless Muslim lover boy in Kismath won him several accolades including the SIIMA award for best debutant.
Shane is often compared with Fahadh Faasil, another outstanding natural actor. People call Shane as the successor to Fahadh Faasil as their style of performances is almost the same. Shane is aware of him being compared to Fahadh and he is delighted about that.
In a recent interview, Shane said that he is happy when people compare him with an amazing actor Fahadh Faasil but feels that there is no need for any comparisons. He feels that each actor has got an identity and style on his own and that there should not be any comparisons over that.
Riding on the success of his previous outings films, Shane has signed for several new projects. National award winning editor B Ajithkumar’s debut directorial Eeda, Shaji N Karun’s Oolu, Devan’s Painkil and debutant Dimel’s Perunnal are some of his upcoming movies. He is also said to be playing the lead role in Dileesh Pothan-Syam Pushkaran duo’s Kumbalangi Nights.
