Aadhi is not a typical mass-action flick: Jeethu Joseph
Pranav Mohanlal’s highly anticipated debut film as a lead actor, Aadhi is gearing up for release. The movie is scripted and directed by Jeethu Joseph, who has helmed some huge blockbusters like Drishyam and Memories. His upcoming movie with Pranav has high expectations among the audience; especially Mohanlal fans. The superstar’s own production house Aashirvad Cinemas is funding this movie.
As per the director, Aadhi is not a typical mass flick. It has an action mood but not the regular kind with stunts throughout the film. It is more of a survival story. Pranav plays Adithya Menon aka Aadhi in the movie. He is an aspiring musician living with his parents in Kochi. Things take a turn once he lands in Bangalore. How he gets out of it forms the crux of the story.
Pranav has performed some risky stunts in the movie. He was trained in Parkour by experts who were flown in from France. Interestingly, the youngster has also penned and lent his voice for an English retro track in the movie.
Aadhi has a strong supporting cast. Lena and Siddique play Pranav’s parents in the movie. Noted Telugu actor Jagpathi Babu, who was last seen in Malayalam in Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, is the villain in Aadhi. Anusree, Sharafudheen, Aditi Ravi, Sijoy Varghese, Siju Wilson, Nobi, Tony Luke and Krishna Shankar are also part of the cast.
Satheesh Kurup is cranking the camera and Ayoob Khan is in charge of the edits. If reports are to be believed, the makers are eyeing to release the movie for the Republic Day weekend. January 26 looks like the preferred date but an official confirmation regarding the same has not yet been given.
