Official: Mohanlal’s upcoming movie with Ajoy Varma titled as Neerali
After a two month long break, Mohanlal recently returned back to work. He is currently shooting in Mumbai for his upcoming movie with Ajoy Varma. The makers have now revealed the movie’s title as ‘Neerali’. The movie scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas is said to be a thriller, set entirely outside Kerala. Mumbai and Pune are the major locations while brief portions will also be canned in Sri Lanka and Mongolia.
Mohanlal is sporting a young and trim look in the movie. Last week, he had shared the first look through his official Facebook page. He has allotted around 15 days from his packed scheduled for this movie’s shoot.
Parvatii Nair, noted in films like James and Alice and Uttama Villain, is playing one of the female leads. The team is yet to announce the name of the actress who will be playing Mohanlal’s wife. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileesh Pothan and Sai Kumar are also part of the supporting cast.
Director Ajoy Varma is a former associate of veterans Ram Gopal Varma and Rajiv Anchal. For his debut Malayalam directorial, Ajoy has assembled a formidable line up of technicians, most of them from Bollywood. Cinematography is handled by Santhosh Thundiyil. Serena Tixeria, make up artiste of films like 3 Idiots and Dhoom, Sunil Rodriguez, the action choreographer of Golmaal Again and Singham Returns, are also on board for Neerali.
Director Ajoy Varma himself is handling the edits. Reportedly, Stephen Devassy will be making his debut a music director with this movie. It is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikdan.
