Mohanlal’s Ittymaani Made in China to start rolling in Singapore
As informed earlier, Mohanlal will start shooting for ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ from this month end. First schedule of the movie has been planned in Singapore. After shooting there for five days, the team will be shifting to Kerala. By then, Mohanlal will be wrapping up his portions for ‘Marakkar: Arabikalinte Simham’. Full fledged shoot will be commencing by the last week of April.
‘Ittymaani Made In China’ is to be directed by debutants Jibi and Joju. The movie will be an out and out comedy entertainer, something Mohanlal has not done of late. The actor will be speaking in Thrissur accent in the film. Interestingly, it is after three long decades that he will speaking in this particular slang. Last time, he played a typical Thrissur native was in Padmarajan’s cult-classic, ‘Thoovanathumbikal’. Mohanlal’s performance and his dialogue delivery in the movie is still fresh among the Malayali audience.
Reportedly, the makers of ‘Ittymaani’ have signed Honey Rose as the female lead. This will be her second film with Mohanlal after playing his pair in the Padmakumar directorial ‘Kanal’. Dharmajan Bolgatty, Hareesh Kanaran and veteran Tamil actress Radhika Sarathkumar will also be part of the cast.
Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Ernakulam and Trissur have been zeroed in as the major locations.
