Dulquer Salmaan to reprise Kamal Haasan’s role in the remake of this yesteryear classic Tamil film!
As per latest reports from Kollywood medias, classic Tamil film ‘Aval Appadithan’ is set to be remade after 42 years of its release. The new version will be directed by Hari Venkateswaran and Shruthi Haasan will be playing the lead role in it. The original had Sripriya, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in the lead roles. Shruthi has already been confirmed to essay Sripriya’s role. Talks are on with Dulquer Salmaan to reprise Kamal Haasan’s role. Rumours about Simbu playing Rajinikanth’s role are also doing the rounds.
‘Aval Appadithan’ directed by C Rudhraiya is among the most celebrated films in Tamil cinema history. The plot revolves around a woman and the difficulties she faces in her life, due to her romantic relationships, resulting in her developing an aggressive and cynical nature towards men.
Badri Venkatesh, who has previously directed films like ‘Baana Kaathadi’ and ‘Semma Botha Aagathey’, has already got a producer on board. They are currently trying to bag the rights of the orginal film. If everything goes well, the film will be ready sometime next year.
