Shoot for Mammootty starrer The Priest to be resumed this month
‘The Priest’ is an upcoming Malayalam film that has Mammootty and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. Debutant Jofin T Chacko is directing the film, which is said to be a thriller. Shoot for the film was nearing its final stages when the pandemic-induced lockdown was announced.
After almost 5 months, the makers are planning to resume shoot. If reports are to be believed, the team will begin shoot later this month in Vagamon. It is also said that Mammootty has already finished shooting for his portions but Manju Warrier still has a few scenes to be completed.
‘The Priest’ is a mystery-thriller with a big star cast. Director Jofin has written the story while screenplay and dialogues are penned by Deepu Pradeep and Shyam Mohan. Nikhila Vimal, Saniya Iyappan, Baby Monica of ‘Kaithi’ fame, Jagadheesh, Ramesh Pisharody, ‘Karikku’ fame Ameya Mathew, ‘Nayika Nayakan’ fame Venkitesh and Tony Luke will be seen in important roles.
On the technical front, the film has Akhil George as the DOP and Rahul Raj as the music director. Shameer Muhammed is handling the edits. The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph, B Unnikrishnan and VN Babu.
