Prathi Poovankozhi set to be remade in multiple languages
Manju Warrier starrer ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ is getting ready to be remade in multiple languages. Bollywood based producer Boney Kapoor has acquired the film’s remake and dubbing rights. Reports suggest that it will be remade with top stars in Tamil and Hindi languages.
‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ is a female-centric thriller written by Unni R and directed by Rosshan Andrrews. It is centred around an ordinary working woman who gets physically harassed in a bus while on her way to work. The incident has a deep impact on her and she decides to track down the molester and teach him a lesson. Director Rosshan Andrews played the molester’s role in the film while Anusree, Grace Antony and Saiju Kurup essayed other important roles.
‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ garnered largely positive reviews from the critics and had a fair run in theatres. It remains to be seen how well the film gets adapted in other languages.
