Angamaly Diaries is very much like an Anurag Kashyap movie. The movie is realistic to the core and hence no wonder Anurag has loved it.
He shared photos from the premier show held in Mumbai, in his official Instagram account. Manju Warrier, director Lijo Jose Pellissery, producer Vijay Babu, music director Prashanth Pillai, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and lead actor Antony Varghese were also present for the screening.
Angamaly Diaries marked the debut of actor Chemban Vinod Jose as a scenarist. It is a story about a group of youngsters in the Angamaly region. The movie showcases the culture of that particular region and the nature of the people in that locality. The movie features around 86 new comers in various characters including the lead roles.
It is truly a moment of pride for such a ‘small’ movie, in terms of budget and star cast, being appreciated by a filmmaker of Anurag Kahyap’s stature.
