Asif Ali-Biju Menon team again coming with a film after their association in the film named Pakida. This film is titled as Anuraga Karikkin Vellam and it will be directed by debutant Rahman Khalid. Rahman Khalid is the brother of popular producer/cinematographer Shyju Khalid. The film will be based on romance at the same time it will be also set to give a good message to the society as well. The film Biju Menon and Asif Ali done together named Pakida was not very well received at box office even though the film concerned with some social issues.
The upcoming film named Anuraga Karikkin Vellam team says that Biju Menon will do the role of the father of Asif Ali. It will be a unique role for Biju Menon in his career. The film will have another popular artist in it in the key role and it will be Asha Sharath. It will be one of the best roles in her career after Drishyam and Varsham. This flick will be financed by August Cinemas of which Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Natesan, Arya etc are the owners. The shoot of the film will start next month as per reports.
Rahman Khalid was the assistant director of Anil Radhakrishna Menon in the super hit film named Sapthamashree Thaskaraha which was released in last year’s Onam season starring Prithviraj and Asif Ali. That film was also financed by August Cinemas. Asif Ali has a new release coming up in the form of Kohinoor on the 24th September of which he is also a co-producer. His another film named Driver on Duty is also waiting for release as per reports and he is currently on the sets of the film named Rajamma@yahoo in which he plays the brother character of Kunchacko Boban.
August Cinemas is also financing another film named Darwinte Parinamam with Prithviraj in the lead as well which is also scheduled to start next month. Their last production venture was a failure which was Double Barrel but it was an experimental film from Lijo Jose Pellissery.
