Theater strike again making the Mollywood film lovers disappointed as the latest theater strike had reportedly compelled the team behind the film named Charlie to postpone its release to next week. The film was all set to release on this December 17th or 18th. But the strike which had begun yesterday troubled the team and now as per reports they had decided to release the film on next week and the date said to be either December 24th or 25th.
The film written by Unni R and conceived by Martin Prakkatt is the most awaited film of this year starring young star Dulquer Salmaan and Pravathy Menon in the lead. The trailer also got grand reception and the anticipation level was damn too high as well. Then comes this theater strike and it had really landed the film lovers in despair.
Films like Jo and the Boy starring Manju Warrier and Sanoop Santhosh also set to release this week and as of now they had not decided to postpone the film. But there is a chance for that as well if the strike continues. Everything will be depended on the meeting that is called today evening to sort out the issue between exhibitors federation and Government of Kerala. The issue is all about the advance money payment to the welfare fund set by Government and the amount of 3 rupees per ticket is also not agreeable to the exhibiters. This is the 3rd or 4th time this year that theater strike causing release troubles in Kerala.
Bollywood films like Dilwale of Shahrukh Khan, Bajirao Mastani directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali and Tamil film starring Dhanush named Thangamagan also set for release in the coming days here. Let’s see what happens in the meeting today and then only we can say the confirmed dates of each and every films that is going to grace the silver screens in this Christmas season here.
