Ittymaani Made in China overseas rights already sold
Malayalam cinema’s growth over the last few years has been phenomenal. The recent success of Mohanlal’s ‘Lucifer’ is a testament to that. Besides grossing big numbers in traditional markets, the movie is doing extremely well in the overseas region. In US and GCC box office, the movie has done remarkable business that would clearly inspire overseas distributors.
The massive success of ‘Lucifer’ has meant that the overseas distribution rights for his upcoming movie ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ has been sold even before the start of its shoot. Tricolor Entertainment have bagged the rights for UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa regions. They have confirmed the same by tweeting,

‘Ittymaani Made in China’ is slated to go on floors from the last week of this month. Debutant duo Jibi and Joju are directing the movie, which is said to be a full-on comedy entertainer. Honey Rose, Radhika Sarathkumar, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Vinu Mohan and Hareesh Kanaran are also part of the movie. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Traditionally, fun entertainers have always had good run during festival time, so the makers are eyeing an Onam release in September.
