Ittymani Made in China: Mohanlal to speak in Thrissur dialect after 31 long years!
Recently, Mohanlal made a surprise announcement about his new project. The actor is teaming up with debutant directors Jibi and Joju for a movie titled ‘Ittymaani Made In China’. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. From the title and the poster, the movie looks like an out and out comedy entertainer.
Mohanlal has revealed that he will be speaking in Thrissur accent in the film. Interestingly, it is after three long decades that the actor will speaking in this particular slang. Last time, he played a typical Thrissur native was in Padmarajan’s cult-classic, ‘Thoovanathumbikal’. Mohanlal’s performance and his delightful dialogue delivery in the movie is still fresh among the Malayali audience. It will be exciting to see if the actor can recreate that once again.
The announcement of ‘Ittyamani Made in China’ came in as a big surprise as Mohanlal already has his kitty full. Besides that, he was in talks for some other projects. He is currently awaiting the release of Odiyan, which is slated for release on December 14. His Tamil film with director KV Anand, also starring Suriya is currently on floors.
Couple of schedules are still left for the Prithviraj directorial ‘Lucifer’. ‘Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham’ with Priyadarshan is set to go on floors by the end of this year. ‘Big Brother’ with veteran director Siddique is also in the pipeline. It is still not yet known when the shoot for ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ will be commencing.
