M Padmakumar directorial film Jalam is all set release all over on this coming 29th January and the film had already won the hearts of many prominent people from different walks of life. We have already reported about the opinion of Ex-Education Minister of Kerala, MA Baby’s opinion about the film as he had appreciated the film with his whole heart. Now another popular politician, VT Balram, who is one of the most popular Member of Legislative Assembly of Kerala also showers praise on the film after watching the special screening of the flick at Trivandrum few days back. VT Balram MLA is of the opinion that the film Jalam is one cinematic experience which will touch your heart.
VT Balram said the film had expressed the politics that related to land in this state and it is the common scenario everywhere in India. But the flick had given an honest portrayal of that land politics that is prevalent in our country. He also said that the film is one which will open the eyes of the ruling authority towards the people who suffering due to these politics based on land.
The story of the film deals with a woman and child who is struggling for a shelter or a piece of land to live after her husband dies. The lead character is played by Priyanka Nair and artists like Prakash Bare also played key role in this flick. T S Suresh Babu had written the film and Sohan Roy had produced this movie. The film is world’s first charity film and it is made under the category of CSR films. The production team is all set to give the money the film earns from screens to the people who are homeless.
The producer Sohan Roy also announced that they will be ready to give back the ticket charge with compensation if any of the viewer is disappointed with the film after watching it. Jalam had already won recognitions in State Film Awards and various Film Festivals.
