Jeethu Joseph’s next after Aadhi is with Emraan Hashmi
Jeethu Joseph is one of the most sought after filmmakers in Mollywood. In 2013, he took the whole industry by storm with his Mohanlal starrer Drishyam. It was the highest grossing Malayalam movie of that time and was successfully remade in all major Indian languages. Jeethu himself helmed the remake in Tamil with Kamal Haasan in the lead.
However post Drishyam, Jeethu Joseph’s movies could not live up to the audience’s expectations. Perhaps, the burden of high expectations was too much on him. Inspite of that, he remains one of the leading filmmakers around in M-Town.
Jeethu Joseph is now all set to foray into the world of Bollywood. This exciting bit of information was revealed by the director himself in a recent interview. His debut Hindi film will have Emraan Hashmi playing the lead. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor will also be seen in a prominent role in this movie, which is said to be the remake of a Hollywood thriller.
Apparently, the producers approached Jeethu after acquiring the remake rights. The offer came to him after the makers were highly impressed by the director’s ability to make quality thrillers. An official announcement with the title and details regarding the other cast and crew will be made very soon.
Meanwhile, the director’s new movie Aadhi is all set to hit screens. This Pranav Mohanlal starrer is releasing this Friday (January 26) amidst tremendous expectations.
