Naslen to Lead Madhu C Narayanan’s Musical Drama; Director Returns After 6 Years
After a six-year hiatus, Kumbalangi Nights director Madhu C Narayanan is making his much-awaited comeback with a music-based film featuring rising star Naslen in the lead. The project is expected to revolve around a boy band setup, with music composed by Rex Vijayan. The script is penned by Muhsin, while Shyju Khalid will handle cinematography. Notably, rapper-actor Vedan is also rumored to play a prominent role.
Madhu C Narayanan recently announced a casting call for the female lead, specifically seeking women aged 20-25 with a preference for those fluent in Kochi slang. This suggests that the film will have a strong regional flavor, much like the director’s debut masterpiece.
Meanwhile, Naslen has an exciting lineup of films. He recently wrapped up Dominic Arun’s film, produced by Dulquer Salmaan, and is gearing up for Alappuzha Gymkhana, a sports comedy by Khalid Rahman. He is also set to star in Mollywood Times, directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, and will soon begin work on Premalu 2, the sequel to his 2024 blockbuster.
