Tamannaah signs for Pelli Choopulu Tamil remake
Popular South Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been doing back to back films now. The actress is also on a signing spree bagging many exciting projects. The actress is currently shooting for Simbu’s upcoming movie Anrbaanavan Asaraadhavan Adangaadhavan (AAA) directed by Adhik Ravichandran. She has also signed for the Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster movie Queen, where she will be reprising the role played by Kangana Ranaut. Now, the actress has bagged another biggie, the Tamil remake of Tollywood super hit movie Pelli Choopulu.
Gautham Menon bought the Tamil remake rights of the movie, directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. The film starring Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma in the lead roles is a refreshing take on modern day love story.
Producer Senthil Veerasamy is turning director with this remake in which Tamannaah plays the lead. Currently, the pre-production works is going on. The male lead is yet to be finalized. An official announcement with the remaining details about the cast and crew members is expected soon.
Senthil Veerasamy is also making his debut as an actor through Gautham Menon’s upcoming movie Enai Nokki Payum Thotta (ENPT) starring Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead roles. He is playing the role of an antagonist in ENPT.
Pelli Choopulu is also being dubbed in Malayalam as Oru Pennu Kanal Kadha. The movie is gearing up for release. It will be distributed by Surya films in Kerala. A single track from the movie was released on New Year’s day.
