Salaar is Violent but Explores Deep Emotions Between Lead Characters: Prabhas Reveals
Prabhas recently opened up about his role in the much-anticipated Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire directed by Prashanth Neel. Scheduled to grace screens on December 22, the film revolves around the fictional city of Khansaar, intertwining the narratives of two childhood friends portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Delving into the essence of the movie, Prabhas sheds light on its core themes and his character’s significance.
“The crux of Salaar lies in exploring the profound emotional connections between the lead characters,” Prabhas elucidates, emphasizing, “This role marks a departure from my usual portrayals, offering audiences a fresh perspective on-screen.”
To fully embody his character, Prabhas dedicated himself to workshops, meticulously fine-tuning his nuances and body language. “Prashanth and I collaborated closely, discussing the intricate body language that best suited my character. Our sessions were not only productive but enjoyable too,” Prabhas shares, underscoring the collaborative effort behind the scenes.
Clocking in at 2 hours and 55 minutes, Salaar recently received an A certificate from the censor board, indicating its intense and action-packed narrative. Despite the film’s portrayal as a violent actioner, the emotional depth within the brotherly bond between the protagonists remains its cornerstone.
