Manikandan Achari, who won widespread appreciation and accolades for his performance in Kammattipaadam, is playing a pivotal role in Basheerinte Premalekhanam. His performance as Balan in the Rajeev Ravi directorial was arguably one of the best ever from a debutant. He owned a space of his own in the movie despite the presence of actors like Dulquer Salmaan and Vinayakan.

Unlike his character in Kammattipaadam, he will be seen in a humorous role in Basheerinte Premalekhanam. Eventhough, Manikandan has played a comic role in the Sunny Wayne starrer Alamara, this role will show another dimension of the actor.

He has two different looks in the film as his character appears in different timelines. The makers had earlier released a romantic track, Laila Laila which featured Manikandan and Ranjini Jose in it. He is seen as a love smitten young man in the song. In the trailer, we can seen him in an aged get-up. Sources close to the unit inform that Manikandan’s performance will be one of the major highlights of the film.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam is written jointly by Shinod Sivam, Bipin K Paulose and Shamseer Ahamed. Veteran actors Madhu and Sheela are essaying pivotal characters in the movie.

Joy Mathew, Harish Kanaran, Aju Varghese, Shanavas, Suraj Harris, Sreejith Ravi, Sohan Seenulal, Sunil Sugatha, Manikandan, Asha Aravind and Sivaji Guruvayoor are also part of the cast. P M Harris and Mohammed Althaf have produced the movie under the banner of Fort Entertainment.

After watching her effortless portrayal of a small town woman, it is hard to believe that Nimisha is a model born and brought up in Mumbai. She is playing the female lead in National award winning editor B Ajithkumar’s debut directorial Eeda, which stars Shane Nigam as the male protagonist.

In Eeda, Nimisha will be seen in a role which is very much unlike the one in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. She is playing the role of Aishwarya, a college student in the film. Shane Nigam’s character is an MBA graduate who works in an insurance company. It is a romantic film, revolving around how the two meet and what happens afterwards. Shoot for the movie is progressing and Nimisha is enjoying the challenge of acting alongside Shane Nigam, who is undoubtedly one of the most talented young actors around.

Director B Ajithkumar has also scripted the movie. Eeda is a Kozhikode/Kannur slang for ‘ivide’ which means here. Ajithkumar has worked as an editor in several acclaimed films like Ottal, Liar’s Dice, Naalu Pennungal etc. Award winning cinematographer- turned- filmmaker Rajeev Ravi is producing this movie under the banner of Collective Phase One.
