Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is doing tremendous business in the box office raking in huge numbers. According to latest reports, the movie has crossed the 500 crore mark from the box office collections worldwide. It is now the fastest Indian movie to do so.

This is also the first time that an Indian movie has been able to gross above Rs 400 crore in a week. Baahubali has gone past the 500 crore mark in three days and is still continuing the phenomenal run.

The net collections of the Hindi version alone is estimated as Rs 128 crores. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,

“This WAVE is UNSTOPPABLE… #Baahubali2 creates a NEW RECORD… Fri 41 cr, Sat 40.50 cr, Sun 46.50 cr. Total: ₹ 128 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version.”

The movie is now eyeing to overhaul the first week record that is currently held by Salman Khan’s Sultan. The movie is creating history in US and other overseas centres setting the box office on fire. All eyes are now glued to see whether this SS Rajamouli directorial is able to cross the 1000 crore mark from the box office collections alone.

Prabhas is now one of the most popular actors in the country thanks to the gargantuan success of the Baahubali franchise. The actor dedicated five solid years of his life to breathe life into SS Rajamouli’s vision.

Now that the Baahubali series has ended, Prabhas will finally step out of the warrior’s shoes. He will now shift his full focus to his upcoming two Telugu projects.

He has committed for a film each with directors Sujeeth and Radha Krishna. There are talks that he will be working on both these projects simultaneously.

Earlier, there were also reports about Prabhas making his much awaited Bollywood debut soon under Karan Johar’s production, but as of now Prabhas has not signed any other movie.

Sujeeth’s film titled as Saaho will be the first to go on floors. The movie’s official teaser was released recently to great response from the viewers. It will be a big budget action entertainer and the makers are eyeing to release it next year.

SS Rajamouli’s latest outing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has thrown the Indian box office into a frenzy shattering several box office records. It is the sequel to the 2015 all time blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning, which did a business of over 500 crores worldwide.

Baahubali 2 is getting unprecedented response from the audience worldwide. Celebrities are also hyping their praise on the team and their efforts to bring out what is the biggest Indian movie in terms of scale.

Acclaimed filmmaker Shankar, often called as the showman of Indian cinema recently took to social media to appreciate SS Rajamouli and his movie Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. He wrote,

“Just now saw Bahubali 2 – The pride of Indian Cinema. What a Bravery,Beauty, Grandness & Music.. Awestruck. Hats off to ‘Raja’mouli and the whole team.”

SS Rajamouli and Shankar are unarguably two of Indian cinema’s biggest filmmakers in terms of commercial success and delivering movies with international standards. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has opened to massive response all over the world. Ever since it’s release on April 28, the movie has rewritten a slew of records.

In Kerala, Baahubali 2 is getting a reception that is normally seen only for Mollywood superstar movies. Most theatres are running with full occupancy even for the late night special shows. According to latest reports from trade sources, Baahubali 2 has grossed Rs 17.80 crores from the first three days of it’s theatrical run in Kerala.

Baahubali 2 had a massive release in around 320 screens in Kerala, which is the biggest ever for any movie in the state. It had scripted a new opening day record in Kerala box office by grossing around Rs 5.90 crores. The movie toppled the figures of The Great Father (4.31), Kabali (4.20) and Pulimurugan (4.05).

Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion was released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages in 6500 screens all over India. With the kind of humongous response, this action fantasy drama is expected to cross the 1000 crore mark and become the first ever Indian movie to achieve the feat.

Mohanlal’s last outing 1971 Beyond Borders disappointed the scores of fans who were looking forward to the fourth successive blockbuster from the superstar. Mohanlal was riding on the back of three huge blockbusters- Oppam, Pulimurugan and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol before he hit roadblock with 1971 Beyond Borders.

The Major Ravi directorial was panned by the critcs and let down by the fans also. According to reports from trade sources, 1971 Beyond Borders has managed to gross just 6.70 crore from the Kerala office.

Only a handful of theatres are screening the movie currently. Trade sources inform that the final gross will be somewhere around this figure. The movie has ended as a huge disappointment considering the fact that Mohanlal’s last three movies before 1971 Beyond Borders did lifetime business of more than Rs 50 crores.

1971 Beyond Borders is the fourth installment in the Major Mahadevan series. The film, based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war was made as a big budget movie with a huge star cast. The director had roped in several actors from other industries like Allu Sirish, Arunoday Singh, Srushti Dange and Priyanka Agarwal to give it a pan Indian appeal. Haneef Muhammed’s Red Rose Creations produced the movie.

Trade experts are finally coming to terms with the earth shattering box office collections. The movie opened with a 90 per cent occupancy in theatres across India and according to the distributors, the film netted Rs 121 crore on the releasing day in India.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to break down the two-day earnings (Friday, Saturday) of the movie.

Baahubali: The Beginning, the first part in the series is placed third in the list of highest grossing films of all time, which is headed by Aamir Khan’s PK followed by his Dangal. Going by this kind of response, Baahubali: The Conclusion will soon unseat PK from the top position.

Prior to the release itself, trade experts believed that Baahubali 2 has the potential to cross the magical 1000 crore mark. If it manages to do so, it will be the first ever Indian movie to achieve the feat. It is worth a mention that the movie has already registered a pre release business of over 500 crores through the distribution, satellite, audio and video rights.

Celebrities have also come out appreciating the movie and the team’s efforts in delivering what is arguably the biggest movie in Indian cinema in terms of scale. Recently, superstar Rajinikanth tweeted lauding the movie and the captain of the ship SS Rajamouli. His tweet reads,

The director replied back in a minute by saying,

“THALAIVAAAA… Feeling like god himself blessed us… our team is on cloud9… Anything couldn’t be bigger…”
