Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion is all set for a gigantic release on the 28th of this month. The biggie visualised by SS Rajamouli opens up why Kattappa had killed Baahubali in the first part; the fans all over the country are eagerly waiting to know the same. Baahubali : The Beginning was made on a tremendous 180 crores budget had made Rs. 75 crores on it’s initial day and the flick had ended up collecting a whooping 650 crores from the box office worldwide.

If facts go unchanged Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion would make Rs. 750 after it’s theater run. It was earlier reported that the biggie had already made Rs 500 crore in it’s pre-release deals. When this adds to the final collection an approximate of above Rs. 1000 crores would be put up globally.

“Baahubali 2 will be surely fly above from everyone’s expectations as it is made on a large scale. We could witness it once the pre-booking is open and as of my view the movie would gross more than 85 crores on it’s initial day. The flick will easily attain over Rs. 25 crores from Hyderabad as it is where the movie is made. Therefore the movie will gross above Rs. 35 crore from its Telugu version itself.” said an exhibitor.

“The Hindi version of the movie is expected to collect Rs. 25 crores nett alone, henceforth figures will be around Rs. 32 crores. Another Rs. 20 crores would be made from its Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions. And therefore, the film will obviously gross an opening of around Rs 85 crores on it’s initial day which marks the biggest opening for a flick in Indian cinema.” he continued.

Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion it is said to be the biggest flick ever made in our country. The flick is being released in 6000 screens all over the country. The first part had hit 4000 screens worldwide.

Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make his debut in Tollywood and would be playing a role in Nag Ashwin’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Mahanati, which happens to be Savithri (Gemini Ganesan’s wife) biopic. The first look poster was released earlier and had got good responses. Keerthi Suresh is said to play Savithri alongside Samantha who essays the role of a journalist, an important character.

The unconfirmed news that has now kissed social media is that stylish star and youth sensation Dulquer Salmaan is playing Gemini Ganesan’s role. “Youth icon @dulQuer will play ‘Gemini Ganesan’ in the Savithri biopic #Mahanati, with @KeerthyOfficial & @Samanthaprabhu2” read a tweet.

The movie revolves around her personal life and her place in the industry. It opens the tragic episodes and phases in her life. The makers are still in talk with lead actors to portray the roles of legendary actors Akkineni Nageswara Rao and NT Rama Rao. We are still awaiting a confirmation on Dulquer’s role and the further cast and crew. The movie is funded by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema.

The top news that had hit social media today was Bollywood star KRK aka Kamaal Rashid Khan apologizing to Mohanlal through his Twitter handle. The star had targeted the complete actor from the next day he had announced his biggie The Mahabharata. The first tweet made was insulting Mohanlal by comparing him to the cartoon character Chotta Bheem on basis of his size, and questioning him why to waste producer BR Shetty’s money.

The later tweets came in quick succession, 25 in total. Through his tweets he had insulted Mohanlal, called his fans idiots, compared Mohanlal to other actors, held online polls, boasted his Twitter followers number, wished to play Sreekrishna in the biggie, suggested the cast for the movie, claimed that Mahabharata​ was not going to happen by stating BR Shetty had not confirmed to fund the movie and in the end apologized.

The star in his apology tweet had asked Mohanlal to forgive him for comparing the complete actor to Chotta Bheem and admitted that he never knew Mohanlal was such a versatile actor and the superstar of Malayalam films. His tweet read: “Sir @Mohanlal sorry to call you #ChotaBheem Coz I didn’t know much about you. But now I know that you are a super star of Malayalam films”

The star, though lately, had done such an​ apology only because of the loads of comments, retweets and messages he had received daily that were completely against him. He had also complained to Mohanlal on a tweet of his that why the fans are abusing him so much. The fans had done a brilliant job behind this nevermind their fanbase. All the Malayalis had offered the perfect online ‘pongala’ on the star’s social handles. The star who had earlier tweeted some what the same thing against PM Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth and Shah Rukh Khan had coolly walked away without been questioned. But this time, Malayalis had given him a real bad time and he had paid for it. Renowned editor Mahesh Narayanan’s debut directorial Take Off had received good reviews and responses from various theaters released. The movie, penned by PV Shaji Kumar and Mahesh Narayanan, is based on the real incidents that had occured to a group of Malayali nurses in the Tikrit region of Iraq when they had been captured during the ISIS attacks in 2014.

Based on the trade source reports we get to know the movie has grossed Rs. 14.2 crores after it’s successful 28 days at box office. There were many star hyped movies that had kissed M-Town after the flick’s release, and this is the main reason for the declined collection report.

To be noted is the movie which was made on a risky 5 crores budget had got amazing review reports on it’s initial days. Many celebrities from all around the country had appreciated the flick. The movie had released with zero hype apart from a multi starrer cast list and had spent less for it’s publicity department, yet taking audience in hand with it’s brilliant making and storyline.

Take Off was made as a tribute to late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai. The movie was bankrolled by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker in association with Rajesh Pillai Films. Parvathy had given her career best performance through this family drama. A special mention goes to the role Manoj Abraham played by Fahad Faasil, it was well accepted by audience. Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Prem Prakash, Prakash Belawadi, Anjali Aneesh, Alencier Ley, etc. had portrayed vital characters.

Biju Menon – Ranjan Pramod team’s Rakshadikari Baiju Oppu had hit screens on the 21st of April. The movie comprising an amazing storyline and balanced plot had recieved positive reviews and ratings from audience all over the state after it’s initial days. The flick tells the story of Baiju, an irrigation department employee who is in close bond with his younger friends of his locality.

The official first day collection report of the movie is out now. The movie has grossed Rs. 63 lakhs from the 92 theaters released in the state. The movie made on a simple and straight forward track does not comprise of any big names in the cast, yet has received more than average first day response. The movie set on a village background is a 100% feel good movie.

The movie as expected has been termed as a surprise hit, Biju Menon starers are now a trend in such surprise hits. Earlier he had made another surprise hit Vellimoonga directed by Jibu Jacob. The political satire comedy entertainer had also received positive reviews and reports on it’s initial day and had made a final collection of Rs. 20 crores.

The flick is funded by Alexander Mathew and Satheesh Kolam under the banner 100th Monkey Movies Pvt. Ltd. Prasanth Raveendran’s frames were much appreciated and Bijibal had done a good job in composing the tracks. Samjith’s editing was neat and tidy making it more realistic. The movie also stars Deepak Parambol, Hannah Reji Koshy, Aju Varghese, Hareesh Kanaran, Indrans, Janardhanan, Alencier Ley and Dileesh Pothen in important roles.

Nayanthara had earlier teamed up with Vijay Sethupathi for flicks like Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. The movies had received positive and acclaimed review reports from all-over the state. The casting done by the respective directors were much appreciated and the pair was well accepted.

The same duo are seen again in Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Seethakathi, but not as a pair, Nayanthara does a guest role in the flick. The movie which gives much importance to comedy is Vijay Sethupathi’s 25th film. After a long one year gap Nivin Pauly had hit theaters a week ago with his political drama Sakhavu. His last film Jacobinte Swargarajyam was a complete family feel good drama, he has opted out for a complete change of genre this time. The movie directed by National Award winning director Siddharth Shiva had received an amazing initial response.

As the movie enters it’s first week we got a clear collection report. The movie has collected Rs. 7.55 crores for it’s 6 day run at Kerala box office. This could not be termed as an excellent collection report but only decent. The movie had gained an initial collection of Rs. 2.75 crores from the theaters released all over the state.

The movie marks a disappointing collection in Nivin’s career as his previous releases were blockbusters. Though Action Hero Biju had a slow paced collection in it’s initial days, it was compensated in the following weeks. Sakhavu being a party based movie could have not succeeded in taking family audience in hand. Sakhavu is made on a strong storyline and an interesting script and therefore is believed to improve it’s gross in the coming days.

The movie is funded by B Rakesh under the banner Universal Cinemas. Aishwarya Rajesh, Aparna Gopinath and Gayathri Suresh play the lead females in the flick. The Prasanth Pillai musical also stars Baiju, Sreenivasan, Binu Pappu, Althaf, Renji Panicker, Sudheesh, Santhosh Keezhatoor, etc. in pivotal roles.

Mohanlal had earlier received the special Performance category Award at the National awards for movies Janatha Garage, Pulimurugan and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol. The Award had led to a lot of controversies stating that the Award was given by the jury member Priyadarshan to Mohanlal on the basis of friendship.

CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran has now come up with the statement that the National Award has now glittered a less as Mohanlal had received it. The politician who also has a taste for movies said:

“I am completely clueless in understanding the motive behind giving the National Award to the complete actor Mohanlal. I believe that it is only because to please some. Maybe because of Pulimurugan, there is no other option than giving an award for it. The National Awards these days are being used only to please some and that is not fair”

He had also praised Surabhi Lakshmi for bagging the Best Actress award and said that it was well deserved. He had earlier many times praised the dedication Mohanlal had put in for Pulimurugan.
