Action Hero Biju fame Suresh Thampanoor was recently in the news after there were reports about him getting married soon.

However, Suresh Thampanoor in a recent interview said that he is not thinking about marriage now as he is dreaming of directing a movie. Only after that he will consider about his marriage.

During a recent media interaction he was asked about his marriage by a journalist. The actor replied jokingly that it will happen soon. Apparently that has triggered the specualtions about the 47 year old actor’s marriage.

Suresh Thampanoor revealed that he did not think about a marriage for himself as he waited for his elder sister and four younger ones to have a good married life.

Suresh Thampanoor is now working on developing a script for his directorial debut. He said he will not be able to reveal more about the script as it is in it’s early stages. He worked as an assistant director in Abrid Shine’s Action Hero Biju to learn more about filmmaking.

The talented artist shot to fame earlier this year through Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju. Suresh wrote the lyrics and performed the popular song ‘Muthe Ponne Pinangalle’ from the movie. The song turned out to a sensational hit and he soon became popular among the Malayali audience.

Popular child artist Akshara Kishor is on cloud nine now after acting with superstar Mohanlal for an advertisement. The talented kid became a popular face among the audience after her role in a television soap.

She has also acted in movies like Kanal, Aadupuliyattam, Pinneyum, Thoppil Joppan etc.

Akshara Kishor and Mohanlal recently acted together in an advertisement for Double Delight cakes. The kid claims that she has now become Lal uncle’s heroine as there was no one else in the ad film.

She said, Lal uncle acts very easily and that she did not have any fear as it was an advertisement for cakes. He also cracked some jokes during the breaks while shooting.

After the shoot, Mohanlal complimented Akshara and said she acted really well. The kid instantly replied Pulimurugan was also really good. Akshara has earlier shared stage with Mohanlal for a dance programme in an award function.

Mohanlal has shared his advertisement with Akshara Kishor in his official Facebook page. Within two days, already 5 lakh viewers have watched the video in YouTube.

Akshara is well known popular for her role Balachandrika in the tele-serial Karuthamuthu which is being telecast on Asianet channel.

Before coming to the limelight, she made her appearance in several advertisements in which the ads Kalayan Silks, Nirapara and Jayalakshmi are much notable.

The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) for this year is currently progressing in Thiruvananthapuram. Like every year, the organisers had arranged a ceremony to pay respects to all the film personalities who passes away this year.

RLV Ramakrishnan, brother of deceased actor Kalabhavan Mani has accused the organisers for neglecting his family. He has alleged that the organisers did not invite any of his family members for the function.

According to him, they have not invited him or Kalabhavan Mani’s wife officially for the function organised to pay the respects.

IFFK Chairman, director Kamal has said that they have not invited anyone personally for the function.

They have not invited the family members of renowned poets ONV Kurup and Kavalam Naryana Panicker even after being Thiruvananthapuram residents.

Kamal said, late actor Jishnu’s father Raghavan was informed about the function over phone. Kalpana’s sister Urvashi is attending the event only because she was also a member of the film fraternity.

Kalpana’s daughter is attending the function only beacuse of Urvashi’s compulsion.

The Festival has already been marred after six delegates were taken into police custody for not standing up while the mandatory National anthem was played before the screening. The 21st IFFK will conclude this Friday, 16 December.

Recently, the actor announced that he will be getting married soon. Suresh Thampanoor shared the happy news during the ongoing International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) held at Trivandrum.

The 47 year old actor added that he could not find a partner till now owing to various other engagements in life. He did not reveal the name of his partner or other details about his wedding .

The Supreme Court’s order to make the national anthem mandatory in theatres before a movie starts, has been received with mixed response.

Many filmmakers around the country have expressed their opinions about this new directive ordered by the apex government.

Actor/filmmaker/producer Vineeth Sreenivasan recently shared his thoughts on the decision to make national anthem compulsory in theatres.

Vineeth said that eventhough he is a true patriot, he felt that national anthems before screenings will affect the movie’s run time.

Running time is very important in considering the prospects of a movie. Every second is valuable especially for getting multiplex screenings. He said that the totality of a movie while adding other things that will indirectly reduce the running time.

He also added that there is no need of censoring for movies. Only certification was required. Filmmakers are apprehensive while writing certain dialogues that they feel is perfect for the nature of the character beacuse of censoring.

Vineeth Sreenivasan will be next seen in Aby, the debut directorial of Srikanth Murali. It is a story about a boy’s dream to build an aircraft.

Mareena Michael is playing the female lead in this movie. Aby, produced by Suvin K Varkey under the banner Little Big Films will hit the screens on January 20.

Oppam Telugu version Kanupapa release date confirmed

We had earlier reported that blockbuster movie Oppam will be dubbed in Telugu language. The movie titled as Kanupapa will hit the screens on December 30.

Oppam is currently the second highest grosser in Malayalam cinema. The movie directed by Priyadarshan pipped the record set by Drishyam.

Now top 3 movies in the highest grossers list in Mollywood belongs to Mohanlal. Pulimurugan stands at the top followed by Oppam and Drishyam.

Kanupapa will be Mohanlal’s second Telugu release in Decemeber after Manyam Puli, the dubbed version of Pulimurugan. Manyam Puli released on December 2nd opened to tremendous response in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana states.

According to Telugu media, Manyam Puli has collected around 5 crores from the first day itself.

With the release of Kanupapa, it will be Mohanlal’s fourth movie in Telugu after Manamantha, Janatha Garage and the recent Manyam Puli.

Oppam deals with the story of a blind lift operator who is on a run to protect a girl from a serial killer. Mohanlal’s subdued performance as the blind man with slick direction from Priyadarshan is the major highlights of the movie.

It is expected that the Tollywood audience would receive the movie beacuse of the content discussed.

His family is residing in the Tamil Nadu- Kerala border. The major plot of the movie evolves from Keerthy’s friend’s character. Bairavaa is Vijayaraghavan’s second Kollywood movie. His debut movie was Fazil’s Arangetra Velai, the official remake of Ramji Rao Speaking.

Seema G Nair is also playing an important character in the movie. She is making her Kollywood debut through this movie. Nee Ko Njaa Chaa fame Sija Rose and Drishyam fame Roshan Basheer is also part of the cast in Bariavaa.

Bairavaa is directed by Azhagiya Tamizh Magan director Bharathan. Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for this rural entertainer bankrolled by Vijaya Productions.

For the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, a movie from here had touched the 150 crore mark in box office and it is Pulimurugan, starred by the Complete Actor Mohanlal and directed by Vysakh.

We all know that this was coming, as Pulimurugan had become the first ever Malayalam movie to gross 100 crore from box office, weeks before. The movie had collected around 135 crore from its worldwide run till now and it had done a pre-release business of 15 crore+ as well. Thus the flick had become a part of the 150 crore club in South Indian cinema.

From Kerala alone, Pulimurugan had grossed above 80 crore from 66 days run. The UAE/GCC gross of the movie is 33.20 crore and it is the biggest ever South Indian grosser as well there.

The rest of India gross of the movie is 9.5 crores and from US-UK box office together, it had earned more than 3.65 crore. From rest of the world market, it had grossed a figure above 1.6 crores.

The Telugu dubbed version of this movie had grossed over 6.5 crore in 10 days from its worldwide run. From Andhra and Telangana alone, it had earned a gross above 5.8 crore and it got a share around 3.5 crore from there.

It got super hit status there and still doing great business there despite the release of big Tollywood movie like Dhruva.

Director Ranjith Shankar and Jayasurya who is also the producer of the movie showed up for the occasion with their families.

Director Sathyan Anthikad’s next release is Jomonte Suvisheshangal starring young sensation Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. This is the first time the veteran director is working with Dulquer.

In a recent interview he showered praises on the actor for his performance in the movie.

Sathyan Anthikad said, “Dulquer has an unique style of his own. He does not try to imitate or replicate what others do. That is a great aspect of an actor according to me.

He is very conscious about the work he is doing. He rehearses his dialogues repeatedly. Once the camera starts rolling, he completely transforms into the character.

Only good actors tend to have this quality. On the 10th day of the shoot of Jomonte Suvisheshangal, I called Mammootty and said Dulquer is born to be an actor and he would not have succeeded like this had he chosen any other profession.

Young actors like Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly and Fahadh Faasil do not consider cinema as a profession, they find happiness while working in movies.

I am amazed by the commitment they show for the work they are doing. Dulquer has impressed me many times with his performance in Jomonte Suvisheshangal.

One such incident was when the whole crew was stunned after watching Dulquer perform in an emotional scene. Actress Muthumani who acted opposite him in the scene told me that she was moved to tears watching him perform.

Not only emotional scenes, he was equally good in comedy also. Many of the crew members including me were laughing out loud while shooting for a fun scene between Mukesh and Dulquer.

Dulquer by-hearts dialogues very quickly and so he does not need any prompting. He clearly understands every word in the dialogue. He gives suggestions and even improvises while delivering certain dialogues”, concluded Sathyan Anthikad.

It seems like the director is mighty impressed with Dulquer’s performance in the movie. Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran and Aishwarya Rajesh is playing the female lead in the movie.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal is a family entertainer written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram and produced by Sethu Mannarkkadu under the banner Full Moon Cinemas. The movie is hitting the screens on December 16.
