Kerala Box Office : Pulimurugan Collection Report 30 Days

Malayalam cinema’s biggest blockbuster Pulimurugan is still continuing its amazing run in the box office.

According to trade sources, Pulimurugan has now collected 60 crores from the Kerala Box Office itself. Earlier the movie became the first film in the history to collect 50 crores from Kerala.

The all India collections for the movie stand at an approximate amount of 77 crores. Pulimurugan earlier had a pre release business of around 15 crores from the satellite, audio and overseas rights. With that Pulimurugan has now done a business of over 90 crores.

Overseas collections of the movie have still not yet been released officially. But we hear that the movie is doing great business in all the centres especially the Gulf countries.

So it is almost confirmed that Pulimurugan will do a business of over 100 crores shortly. We will have to wait and see whether the movie can collect more than 100 crores from the box office collections only.

This action packed mass entertainer directed by Vysakh has been getting excellent response from the European countries also. Pulimurugan recently became the first Malayalam movie to be released in Poland.

Pulimurugan is written by Udhayakrishna and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam films.

Happy Wedding was the surprise hit of this year in Mollywood. This movie was directed by a debutant named Omar and the flick has Siju Wilson, Sharafudeen, Soubin Shahir, Anu Sithara etc in lead roles.

Now, reports are coming in that Omar is getting ready to start his next venture and Megastar Mammootty is going to play the lead in it. Reports are coming in that Omar had met Mammootty and discussed the plot with him. He loved the plot and given his permission to go on with the project.

As per reports coming in, they will start the movie next year after Mammootty finishes projects from Renjith, titled Vamban, Shaym Dhar movie etc. Mammootty is now busy with the shoot of his upcoming release named The Great Father, which will be a Christmas release this year.

In Omar movie, Mammootty will play a goonda leader who is living at Thrissur. It will be a comedy movie which will have mass elements in it as well. It will be a movie like Kottayam Kunjachan and Raja Manickyam, says Omar.

He had completed the screenplay of this movie and it will have artists like Shine Tom Chacko, Sunny Wayne etc as well in it along with Mammootty. Mammootty had earlier played a goonda leader kind of character in the movie named Best Actor in 2010.

Pelli Choopulu set to release in Malayalam as Barbecue Oru Pennu Kanalinte Kadha

Pelli Choopulu is a romantic comedy in Telugu that was released this year. The movie was a huge blockbuster and is one of the best movies released in Telugu cinema this year.

Now, Pelli Choopulu is being dubbed in Malayalam. Sunil will release the movie in Malayalam under the banner Surya films. The movie is titled as Barbecue:  Oru Pennu Kanalinte Kadha.

Pelli Choopulu was a rom com written and directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma played the lead roles in the movie.

Pelli Choopulu is the story of a boy and a girl brought together by a business venture. The film was received to highly positive reviews both from the common audience and the critics.

Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma the movie also starred Nandu, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Abhay Bethiganti, Anish Kuruvilla, Kedar Shankara, Padmaja Lanka, Gururaj Manepalli and Sujata in other supporting roles.

Music for this rom com flick was composed by Vivek Sagar while cinematography was hadled by Nagesh Banell. Ravi Teja Girijalla edited the movie.

Earlier the Tamil remake rights of Pelli Choopulu was acquired by ace filmmaker Gautham Menon’s production company Ondraga Entertainment. He will be rewriting the script and most probably direct the project in Tamil

The epic box office success of Complete Actor Mohanlal named Pulimurugan is doing incredible business in its 5th week as well all over the world.

The film had set all-time biggest box office records in Kerala, Rest of India Market, USA, UK, Europe, UAE/GCC Market, New Zealand etc for Malayalam Cinema and at some places it had become the biggest South Indian grosser.

It had surpassed the record of Kabali and even Bollywood movie Sultan starred by Salman Khan in UAE/GCC Market in terms of the number of shows there.

After the release in UAE/GCC area, the pirated print of the movie came in torrent sites and Kerala Police had blocked many of such sites and taking strong actions against those who are spreading the links through Facebook and WhatsApp.

But even after the coming of Pirated print, this movie is doing stunning business all over Kerala on its 5th weekend.

All most all shows all over Kerala getting houseful status and Multiplexes are showing heavy booking . Even after completing 30 days, the theaters had to conduct extra shows at night and adding extra screens to control the crowd.

It was amazing and stunning and never seen before kind of frenzy for a movie here in Mollywood. The film have near 480 shows per day here in Kerala and still have to conduct extra shows to accommodate the increasing crowd.

The film will reach the 100 crore mark within 10-12 days from now.

The first look posters for Godha directed by Basil Joseph was launched by Megastar Mammootty. Godha stars Tovino Thomas and Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.

Screen writer turned actor Renji Panicker is also playing a very important role in the movie. He is said to be playing the father of Tovino’s character in the movie.

Three official posters were launched today. One had Tovino Thomas in the ground. The second one had actress Wamiqa Gabbi also in a fight and third poster had Renji Panicker in the midst of a fight.

Tovino’s character’s name is Anjaneya Das while Wamiqa Gabbi is named Aditi Singh in the movie. Renji Panicker is fondly called as Captain in the film.

Reni Panicker had earlier stunned the audience with his physical transformation for the movie. Aju Varghese is also playing an important role in the movie.

The movie stars Anoop Menon and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles. Actress Meera Jasmine is making a comeback into mainstream cinema after a gap through this movie.

10 Kalpanakal is directed by popular editor Don Max who works primarily in Kollywood and Mollywood. He is making his debut in direction through this movie, which is a crime thriller.

Don Max entered editing in Mollywood through Suresh Gopi’s Tiger. Later he did editing for movies like Chotta Mumbai, Hallo, Best Actor, Chappa Kurishu, ABCD-American Born Confused Desi etc.

Meera Jasmine is playing the role of a police officer for the first time in her acting career. 10 Kalpanakal is the fifth release for Anoop Menon in 2016. He started the year with Pavada along with Prithviraj Sukumaran. His performance as Pavada Babu in the movie was highly appreciated. Later he starred in films like Malgudi Days, Pa Va, Karinkunnam 6s.

10 Kalpanakal also stars Joju George, Kaniha, Prasanth Narayanan, Kavitha Nair and Ritika Badiani in other supporting roles.

The movie is co-produced by Jiji Anchani, Manu Padmanabhan Nair, Jacob Koeypuram and Biju Thoranathel under the banner Shutterbugs Entertainments.

Actor/Director Prabhu Deva is basking in the glory of his recent success Devi(L). Devi(L) was directed by AL Vijay starring Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah in the lead.

Devi(L) was a horror comedy but not the usual run of the mill kind. The movie was made as a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi and was later dubbed in Malayalam and Telugu languages. Prabhu Deva himself produced the movie under his banner Prabhu Deva Studios.

In a recent interview, Prabhu Deva has said that he watched Malayalam movies Premam and Charlie and liked both the movies very much.

Prithviraj’s Tiyaan will be made on a budget of 20 crores

Tiyaan is a much expected Malayalam film written by Murali Gopy and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar. The movie is made on a big scale with a budget of around 20 crores.

Shooting is currently progressing in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. This is the first time in Malayalam cinema history that 90% of a movie is shot in Ramoji Rao Film City. Some portions of the movie will also be shot in Nashik, Pune and Mumbai.

The team had earlier planned to shoot for around 86 days in the film city. But due to heavy rains that lashed Hyderabad, the shoot had to be rescheduled to 61 days. This caused huge loss for the producer.

The main plot of Tiyaan is happening with Uttar Pradesh as its backdrop. Huge sets resembling an ashram was set in the film city. Around 10,000 junior artists were used for shooting scenes in the movie.

Another huge set that costs around 60 lacs is erected outside the film city. This set resembles a large village in Uttar Pradesh. Art works are handled by Mohandas and his team. The team of Tiyaan are making sure that no news about the plot or character looks are leaked.

Tiyaan is a multi starrer featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, Shine Tom Chacko, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prakash Bare, Shafeek Rahman, Rahul Madhav, Alok Jain, Rajath Mahajan,Mukul Nag, Vipin, James, Paris Lakshmi, Bhavita, Padmapriya Deepikaa and Ananya . Music is composed by Gopi Sundar.

Tiyaan is produced by Haneef Ahmed under his banner Red Rose Creations. The movie will release only by next year.

Malayalam Cinema’s biggest blockbuster Pulimurugan is creating records even overseas. Pulimurugan is the first Malayalam movie to release in Poland.

This action mass entertainer directed by Vysakh has an universal theme and hence the movie is released in many foreign countries.

One of the biggest reason of the movie’s massive success, Pulimurugan’s action choreographer Peter Hein had shared the movie’s tickets from Poland in his official Facebook page.

Pulimurugan is garnering excellent reports from all the release centres overseas. In Britain, most shows are still running houseful.

In Middle East, the movie had a huge release on November 3rd. Pulimurugan broke the record of superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Salman Khan’s Sultan for the most shows. Pulimurugan had 630 shows in UAE/GCC in the opening day while Kabali had 425 shows and Sultan had only 225 shows on their release days.

Trade experts believe that Pulimurugan has the potential to become the highest grossing Indian movie in the Middle East.

In Kerala also the movie is continuing its terrific run. It has been four weeks since the movie released, but still there is no dip in the audience. Most weekend shows are still running houseful.

Famous Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon is entering into direction. The mimicry artist turned actor will be directing Prithviraj Sukumaran in his debut movie.

Script works for this untitled movie have been completed. There will be one more sitting with Prithviraj and Kalabhavan Shajon before the project will go on floors.

Prithviraj is currently shooting in Malaysia for his Bollywood movie Naam Shabana. It is the prequel to Akshay Kumar’s blockbuster movie Baby. After that the actor will be going to Portugal for his next movie My Story opposite Parvathy Menon. My Story is written by Shankar Ramakrishnan and directed by debutante Roshni Dinaker.
