Bhagyalakshmi and the victims reveal the gang rape culprits names

Popular dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi had earlier revealed some shocking news about a gang rape victim, through a post in her Facebook page.

The victim, an house maker from Trissur was gang raped by 4 men who were earlier friends with her husband. The woman originally hails from Fort Kochi. She was living with her husband in Trissur when the incident happened.

The four accused who were earlier friends of her husband, informed her that her husband had met with an accident and was admitted in a hospital. On the way they forcibly took her to a house and raped her. They also recorded this in a mobile phone and threatened her that if she tells about the incident to anyone, the video footage would be leaked.

But her husband few months later came to know about the incident. Both of them complained in the police station about the incident, but the police officers insulted and mentally abused her and asked her to withdraw the case to avoid further humiliation.

The incident happened two years back but the couple are still not over from the mental trauma. They had visited Bhagyalakshmi, who is also a social activist, in her home and shared the incident.

After her Facebook post, many people have been demanding the names and punishment for the culprits involved in the case. The woman is taking counselling under Bhagyalakshmi.

The culprits’ names have now been revealed in the press meet organization in Thiruvananthapuram. The victim, her husband and Bhagyalakshmi shared the names and other information to the media. Trissur Vadakkanchery Corporation Councillor PN Jayanthan is the prime accused. Other accused in the case are Vineesh, Janeesh, Shibu.

The woman and her husband had to hide their faces during the press meet to avoid further humiliation and mental abuse. She started the press meet crying uncontrollably.

When the case was registered the accused and the police officials forced her to withdraw the complaint. They threatened to kill her children if she did not cooperate with them. When she was produced before the magistrate, her husband was forcibly caught in a car. She said she had withdraw the case because they had no other support from anyone else. The woman also said that she was raped more than once by the accused.

The revelations has already rocked the state. We will have to wait and see what actions will be taken to punish the culprits.
