There were reports regarding a Telugu movie based on the life of Sathya Sai Baba. Malayalam actor Dileep was initially roped in for the role. But now latest developments confirm that Dileep has backed out from the project.

Sreejith Vijay, another Malayalam actor will be replacing Dileep to play the role of Sathya Sai Baba. Sreejith Vijay has earlier acted in movies like Rathinirvedam, Living together and Mad Dad. He has also anchored a popular dance reality show.

The project was initially on with Dileep but apparently the actor could not allocate large dates for the movie. Shooting for the movie was planned for a bulk 150 days which the busy actor could not afford.

Meanwhile, Sreejith Vijay is excited about being part of such a big project. The actor believes that this is a big break for him and will boost his career positively.

The movie will be focussing on the life of the spiritual guru from a 25 year old to an 80 year old. This big budget movie will be primarily shot in Puttaparuthi, Himalayas and Kashmir.

Tollywood’s popular filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna will direct this big budget movie. The movie also stars Sarath Babu and Jayaprabha in other important roles.

He said that a mass entertainer may have many small mistakes in it, but actually what matters is that the quality of entertainment providing by it. In that sense Puli Murugan is a fantastic movie.

Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Vysakh is rewriting all box office history in Mollywood and it is marching in quick pace towards the all-time biggest box office hit status in Mollywood.

The film had now set the record for highest first day grosser in Malayalam, highest single day grosser in Kerala, highest weekend grosser, highest first week grosser, fastest 10, 20 and 25 crore grosser etc. Many more records will be broken by this film in the coming days.

Now, everybody is wondering whether any other film which is coming in the near future, has the potential to repeat the same here in Mollywood. There are some big budget projects which has the potential and hype to do it.

Pulimurugan is making an epic run here in Kerala and making and breaking records each day. Today was a Hartal day in Kerala. But right after 6 PM, when Hartal ended, people rushed to screens to watch Pulimurugan and heavy rush is reporting from everywhere in Kerala.

Today also special night shows added at many screens and in places like Perumbavoor Pulimurugan will have special show at night 1 AM due to heavy rush from family audience. Really history is in the making.

Now, as per the reports coming in from trade analysts in Mollywood industry, Pulimurugan had grossed 25 crore+ from just 6 days and official collection report will come by the end of this week.

The film had grossed near 21 crore from 5 days and its 6th day also contributed near 4 crore, says trade reports. It is damn sure that the film will cross 30 crore within 7-8 days and it will be gigantic.

It had already become the second highest box office grosser in Mollywood this year as it had earned around 25 crore from just 6 days.

The highest grosser of this year in Mollywood is another Mohanlal starrer named Oppam, directed by Priyadarshan which is still running here by grossing around 36 crore from Kerala alone. The worldwide gross of Oppam is all set to cross the 50 crore mark.

Pulimurugan is sure to go past Oppam in coming days and the film is doing great in rest of India market. Last day Mohanlal had watched movie in Mumbai with his friends and he said that the film will speak foreign languages like English, Chinese, Vietnamese etc.

Thoppil Joppan starring Megastar Mammootty released last Friday is getting great response from the audience. The movie is doing good business in the box office despite of facing tough competition from Super Star Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan.

Earlier collection reports of Thoppil Joppan were shared in a Facebook page named after the film’s director Johny Antony. Some online medias reported that these collection reports were fake and baseless.

But director Johny Antony has hit back through this page saying that the page was started with his knowledge. He has also written that hereafter this will be his original page through which fans can know more about his upcoming releases and other news.

He has also added that the collection reports posted earlier in the page were the original ones and was shared only with the knowledge of the producers and the distributors.

The collection reports shared in the Facebook page said that Thoppil Joppan has collected an amount of Rs 8.43 crores in 4 days of the movie’s release.

Trade experts also confirm that Thoppil Joppan is enjoying a great run in the box office with families welcoming this light hearted entertainer with both hands.
