Oppam set another record : Releasing in 119 screens in Ireland and UK

Not just in Box office, in its release in overseas market too, Mohanlal starrer Oppam is creating history. Oppam is all set to release in European countries like UK and Ireland on the 23 of September and it will have record 119 screens there, which is a record in Mollywood.

PJ Entertainments will distribute the movie in Ireland and UK Markets and they had published the theater list and show times in their website. The UAE release of the movie will be on the 29th of September and there too it is expected to break all previous records in terms of releasing centers.

We had already reported you about the upcoming film of young star Nivin Pauly, which will be directed by Althaf, who shot to fame through his character in the movie Premam. As per reports, the shoot of this movie will start, once Nivin Pauly finishes his Tamil film directed by Gautham Ramachandran.

Now, a report coming in from our industry that, Nivin Pauly-Althaf movie is titled as Njandukalude Kadha. Even though they had not declared the title officially, reports says that it will be the above mentioned one. News from industry says that Nivin Pauly is bankrolling this project as well.

This movie will have actors who had acted in Premam and will be a fun movie with all entertaining elements. Ahaana Krishna Kumar, the actress who made her debut through Rajeev Ravi movie named Njan Steve Lopez will play the female lead of Nivin Pauly in this movie. Apart from that, reports says that, popular actor/director Lal will play the father character of Nivin Pauly in this movie.

This will be Nivin Pauly’s second production venture after Action Hero Biju, which he had produced in association with director Abrid Shine. Nivin Pauly will have to complete Sidharth Siva movie also after completing Tamil movie from Gautham Ramachandran. He will have projects from Roshan Andrews-Bobby Sanjay team and some other Tamil directors.

Oppam has crossed 20 crore from Kerala alone from just 11 days where as Premam had done it in 14 days. Oppam seems unstoppable at box office and other releases are really struggling in front of the box office storm created by this Mohanlal movie directed by Priyadarshan.

As per the reports coming in from official sources, Oppam had grossed around 20.15 crore from 11 days of its run here in Kerala and it had earned a share around 9.5 crore as well. The production cost of the movie is 6.80 crore including print and publicity and it got close 2 crore as profit from theater run alone in just 11 day time and that is phenomenal to say the very least.

Aashirvad Cinemas to produce it as well. The next one is young star Dulquer Salmaan starrer movie, which will be scripted by famous writer Unni R and it will be produced by Shebin Bucker who was one of the co-producers of Dulquer-Martin Prakkatt movie named Charlie.

As per report, Lal Jose may start Dulquer movie first as Mohanlal is busy with numerous previously committed projects. Reports saying that Dulquer Salmaan-Lal Jose movie written by Unni R will be a family entertainer. It will have comedy and will have thrilling elements.

Karnan is the upcoming epic movie that has been announced by RS Vimal, who had written and directed the blockbuster movie Ennu Ninte Moideen with Prithviraj last year. It was Vimal’s debut movie as a director as well. This upcoming movie named Karnan will also have Young Super Star Prithviraj in the lead playing the title character of Karnnan. It will be produced by a Gulf businessman named Venu Kunnappilly and the official launch of the movie had already taken place months back.

They had released a motion poster of the movie as well. At first we heard that it will be a movie which will be made using a budget of 50 crore. Then report came in that Karnnan will have a budget of 100 crore. Now, RS Vimal, the director of this movie told himself through his latest Facebook post that this upcoming epic movie will be made using a budget of 300 crore rupees.

It is an exciting news indeed. 300 crore budget means it will be a movie bigger than Baahubali. This film will be made in multiple languages and it will have stars from all major film industries in India. DOP of the movie will be Baahubali fame Senthil Kumar and music will be tuned by Gopi Sundar.
