Jude Anthany Joseph reveals about his next with Mohanlal

In a recent interview, director Jude Anthany Joseph revealed that he is planning to team up with superstar Mohanlal next. However, he also added that the project is still in the early stages. He had recently shared a photo taken with Mohanlal in his social media handle. It will be interesting see how their collaboration turn out.

Meanwhile, Jude is on an all-time high after the extraordinary opening for his latest film, ‘2018 – Everyone is a Hero’. The film based on Kerala floods has opened to massive numbers at the box office, with many predicting it to enter the 100 crore club. Going by the trade figures, it has grossed Rs 32 crores from just 4 days of its worldwide run. The success of ‘2018’ has come as a huge relief for Malayalam film industry, which has been in severe crisis with films continuously tanking in theatres.

Jude is also planning a film with Nivin Pauly, with whom he made his debut in Om Shanthi Oshana.

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is set to make his directorial debut with a web series titled Stardom.Set against the backdrop of film industry, it will be a 6 episode mini series bankrolled by SRK’s home production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. It remains to be seen if Aryan will be directing his father in the series. More details on the project awaited.

Meanwhile, Aryan recently launched a luxury streetwear brand. The collection dropped jackets autographed by Shah Rukh Khan. Though each autographed jacket was priced at a whopping Rs 2 lakh, they were sold out in just a few minutes. The demands for the jackets and T-shirts, which are priced between Rs 25,000-Rs 47,000, are massive among fashionistas.

On the acting front, SRK next has Jawan gearing up for release. The Atlee directorial was announced a June release, but it looks highly unlikely with the promotions yet to begin. The superstar also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in works.

Dance Party starring Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi and Vishnu Unnikrishnan begins

Amidst the ‘unofficial ban’ on Sreenath Bhasi, a new film starring the actor as one of the leads went on floors last day. Titled ‘Dance Party’, the film is directed by actor-filmmaker Sohan Seenulal. Along with Sreenath Bhasi, the film has Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Shine Tom Chacko as the leads.

Dance Party is touted to be a full on fun entertainer. It is scripted by Sohan. Binu Kurien is the cinematographer and the makers have got Bijibal as the composer. The film is bankrolled by Naisy Reji under the banner of LGA Productions.

Ever since the decision about film bodies not willing to cooperate with Sreenath Bhasi was announce, everyone is eager to hear from the actor. But the ‘Chattambi’ actor has remained silent so far. Meanwhile, his co-star Shine Tom Chacko had come out in support of him.

As announced earlier, Kamal Haasan is producing Sivakarthikeyan’s new film to be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of ‘Rangoon’ fame. Kamal is producing the film in association with Sony Pictures. Earlier in the day, it was announced that GV Prakash will be scoring music for the film. It marks the composer’s first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan.

This yet to be titled film has Sai Pallavi as the female lead. It is speculated to be an action entertainer with an army backdrop.Sivakarthikeyan had recently taken a break from social media. It is said the actor will be using this away period to focus on training for his role in the film.

Sivakarthikeyan also has the sci-fi thriller ‘Ayalaan’ directed by ‘Indru Netru Naalai’ fame Ravi Kumar and and ‘Maveeran’ with ‘Mandela’ fame Madonne Ashwin comin

Charles Enterprises exudes positive vibes!

Charles Enterprises, written and directed by debutant Subhash Lalitha Subraumanian, is set to hit screens on May 19. Going by the promos released so far, the film looks super promising with guaranteed fun. Its teaser and songs have already grabbed eyeballs.

‘Charlies Enterprises’ stars Urvashi, Balu Varghese, Sujith Shanker, Abhija Sivakala, Manikandan Achari, Banu, Mridula Madhav, Sudheer Paravoor and Tamil actors Kalaiyarasan, Guru Somasundaram in major roles. It has Swaroop Philip as the DOP and Achu Vijayan as the editor. Subramanian K V handles the music and sound design, while background score is by Ashok Ponnappan.

‘Charlies Enterprises’ is scripted and directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian. The film is produced by Dr Ajith Joy and Achu Vijayan under the banner of Joy Movie Productions.

Maamannan first look posters heighten expectations

The highly anticipated Mari Selvaraj directorial Mari Selvaraj is all set for June release. Starring Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh as the leads, it is one of the most awaited Tamil films of the year. On International Workers’ Day, the makers shared the first set of posters. While the first look featured Vadivelu and Udhayanidhi, the second poster had the two along with Fahadh.

The most striking aspect of the posters was Vadivelu’s presence. It looks like the veteran comedian is playing a negative role in the film. Tamil cinema fans are all highly excited about his comeback in what seems like the most powerful role of his career till date.

Said to be based on true events, ‘Maamannan’ is expected to be a strong content-oriented film like Mari Selvaraj’s previous works, ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan’. AR Rahman is composing music for the film and cinematography is by Theni Easwar.

Arya and Gautham Karthik to star in Mr X

Arya and Gautham Karthik are set to play the lead roles in a new film titled Mr X. It is written and directed by Manu Anand, who earlier made the Vishnu Vishal starrer FIR. The upcoming project is planned as a pan Indian film with release in all major languages. It will hit screens only in 2024.

Mr X has music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, and cinematography by Tanveer Mir. Rajeevan is the editor, and Stunt Silva will be handling the fight choreography for this big-scale action entertainer. S Lakshman Kumar is producing the film along with A Venkatesh as the co-producer.

Arya also has the sequel to Sarpatta Parambarai lined up. Gautham Karthik, on the other hand, was last seen in the AR Murugadoss-backed ‘August 16 1947’. He recently did another multistarrer, Pathu Thala, with Simbu

Ajith’s next titled Vidaa Muyarchi

Putting an end to all the speculations, it has been announced that Ajith’s next film (AK 62) will be directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Titled Vidaa Muyarchi, it is produced by Lyca Productions. The announcement as a special treat for Ajith fans on the star’s birthday.

AK 62 was originally supposed to be directed by Vignesh Shivan for Lyca Productions. However, the project got dropped just days before its commencement as the makers were unhappy with its second half. It was later that Magizh’s script was greenlit. He has earlier directed action-heavy films like ‘Thadayara Thaakka’, ‘Megaamaan’ and ‘Thadam’. His last release was the Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer ‘Kalaga Thalaivan’.

‘Vidaa Muyarchi’ will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his third collaboration with Ajith after ‘Vedhalam’, and ‘Vivegam’. Nirav Shah has been signed as the cinematographer. More details regarding the project are awaited.

Minnal Minnane: 2018 makers release first video song

The first video song from ‘2018’ got released last day. The film is based on the disastrous Kerala floods. In the song, we can see a few main characters indulging in various activities during the incessant rains. It’s just before the rains turned torrential, causing floods across the state. The song, Minnal Minnane, is composed by William Francis with lyrics by Joe Paul. It’s sung by Shankar Mahadevan.

Jude Anthany Joseph is directing ‘2018’, which is set to released on May 5, amidst massive expectations. The film has a stellar star cast comprising Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Lal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Narain, Aju Varghese, Indrans and Gauthami Nair.

Anto Joseph, Venu Kunnappilly and CK Padmakumar have together produced this ambitious film, which is scripted by Jude and debutant Akhil P Dharmajan.

Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanthan looks promising

As announced earlier, the teaser of Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanthan’s dropped last day. Written and directed by Raffi, the film looks like a political drama from the teaser. It has Veena Nandakumar as the heroine. Joju George, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Makarand Deshpande, Siddique also feature in the cast.

The film marks Dileep’s rejoining with the director after a long gap. Raffi along with his former direction partner Mecartin had worked with Dilieep in hit films like ‘Punjabi House’, ‘Thenkasipattanam’, ‘Pandippada’ and ‘China Town’. It is also worth a mention that Raffi made his independent directorial debut in 2014 with the Dileep film ‘Ring Master’.

The technical side of ‘Voice of Sathyanthan’ has Jithin Stansilaus as the DOP and ‘Joji’ fame Justin Varghese as the music director. Shameer Muhammed is the editor.

Dileep also has Bandra lined up to hit screens. The Arun Gopy directorial, scripted by Udhyakrishna, promises to be an action-heavy gangster film.
