Fahadh Faasil’s new film with Romancham director goes on floors

After the blockbuster success of Romancham, director Jithun Madhavan’s is with Fahadh Faasil as the lead. Director Anwar Rasheed and Nazriya Nazim are producing the new film, which went on floors today in Bengaluru. As per reports, it is a campus story in which Fahadh Faasil will be appearing in a new look. Sameer Thahir will be handling the camera and music is by Sushin Shyam. Details regarding the supporting cast are still awaited.

Fahadh Faasil had recently started shooting for the much-hyped ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. The Sukumar directorial has him reprising the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekavath. He sports a slightly different look in thd second part. Fahadh has also completed shooting for the Tamil film Maamannan and the multilingual film Dhoomam. The ‘Malik’ actor still has a few more projects in his kitty.

Akhil Sathyan’s directorial debut Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum will be his next relase, though the makers are yet to announce anything regarding the same.

Sai Pallavi joins Pushpa: The Rule?

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ is one of the most anticipated upcoming Indian films. After the blockbuster success of the first part, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, expectations have peaked and the makers are ensuring it lives up to the hype. While Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna are reprising their roles, Sai Pallavi is said to have joined the cast for a new role.

If it turns out to be true, it will be Sai Pallavi’s first outing with Allu Arjun. An official announcement regarding her casting is still awaited. Meanwhile, shoot for the film directed by Sukumar is progressing at a brisk pace. The makers are planning to release the first look on April 8 for Allu Arjun’s birthday.

Sai Pallavi was last seen in the much-acclaimed Tamil film ‘Gargi’. She has also Sivakarthikeyan’s next film, which will be directed by ‘Rangoon’ fame Rajkumar Periasamy. It is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.

Janhvi Kapoor to make her Telugu debut with NTR 30

Jr NTR’s next film, tentatively titled ‘NTR 30’, will be helmed by Koratala Siva. The makers have roles in Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor to play the female lead in it. The announcement regarding her South Indian debut was made recently on her birthday. A poster revealing her character look was also shared online.

Jr NTR has previously worked with ‘Koratala Siva’ in the blockbuster film, Janatha Garage. The two will be hoping to repeat the success this time around as well. Anirudh Ravichander has been signed as the composer, and cinematography will be done by Ratnavelu. Veteran editor Sreekar Prasad and production designer Sabu Cyril are also part of the technical team of this upcoming biggie.

It is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Arts. The makers have already announced April 5, 2024 as the release date.

Simbu’s action-packed Pathu Thala teaser is viral

The teaser of Simbu’s upcoming film ‘Pathu Thala’ got released amidst high expectations. Directed by Obeli N Krishna of ‘Sillunu Oru Kaadhal’ and ‘Nedunchalai’ fame, the film is the remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Mufti’. The original told the story of how an undercover cop, played by Srimurali, tracked down a powerful crime lord. Shivarajkumar played the gangster’s role, which is reprised by Simbu in the original. In the teaser, he gets massive build up as we get a sneak-peek into his world. He plays a character named AGR in it.

Gautham Karthik plays the other prominent role of an undercover cop. The film has Gautham Vasudev Menon as the antagonist. From the teaser, it looks like he is playing a politician’s role. Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malayalam actress Anu Sithara are the female leads. Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam and Redin Kingsley are also part of the cast.

The film, which has music by AR Rahman, is produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavel Raja. The makers have announced March 30 as the release date.

Charles Enterprises teaser promises loads of fun!

The teaser of upcoming film ‘Charlies Enterprises’ is out. From the teaser, it looks like a fun entertainer with a multitude of characters. It stars Urvashi, Balu Varghese, Sujith Shanker, Abhija Sivakala, Manikandan Achari, Banu, Mridula Madhav, Sudheer Paravoor and Tamil actors Kalaiyarasan, Guru Somasundaram in the main roles.

‘Charlies Enterprises’ is scripted and directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian. The film is produced by Dr Ajith Joy and Achu Vijayan under the banner of Joy Movie Productions. It has Swaroop Philip as the cinematographer and Achu Vijayan as the editor. Subramanian K V handles the music and Sound Design, while original background score is done by Ashok Ponnappan.

Official: Rajinikanth’s next is with Jai Bhim director

Superstar Rajinikanth is set to team up with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel for his next. Tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’, the project was officially announced on producer Subaskaran’s birthday. His banner, Lyca Productions will be backing it. Anirudh Ravichander has been confirmed as the music director and the makers are planning to start shooting soon.

Rajinikanth is also part of his daughter Aishwarya’s next film ‘Laal Salaam’, which has Vikranth as Vishnu Vishal as the leads. Lyca Productions is bankrolling that project as well. Rajinikanth is said to be playing an extended cameo in it.

Apart from that, he has ‘Jailer’ coming up. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, it is a hugely-hyped film. Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi also star in the Sun Pictures-backed film. The makers are yet to announce their release plans.

Nivin Pauly’s Thuramukham to finally hit screens

After a lot of disappointing last-minute postponings, the much-anticipated Nivin Pauly film ‘Thuramukham’ is set to storm screens on March 10. Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames has taken up the film’s distribution. It is produced by Sukumar Thekkepat and Jose Thomas.

‘Thuramukham’ directed by Rajeev Ravi is a period film made on a big canvas. It is scripted by Gopan Chidambaran based on the historic protests against the inhuman ‘chappa’ system, wherein copper coins were thrown at waiting workers in a primitive work guarantee scheme.

The film has a big star cast comprising of actors like Indrajith Sukumaran, Arjun Ashokan, Joju George, Nimisha Sajayan, Poornima Indrajith, Sudev Nair, Darshana Rajendran and Manikandan Achari in prominent roles.

Sajeev Pazhoor to next script Panjavalsara Padhathi starring Siju Wilson

Siju Wilson’s next film has bean titled ‘Panjavalsara Padhathi’. It is scripted by Sajeev Pazhoor and directed by PG Premlal. Sajeev is known for scripting the National-award winning Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. He also wrote the Biju Menon-starrer ‘Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuo’ and Dileep’s ‘Keshu Ee Veedinte Nathan’.

‘Panjavalsara Padhathi’ has newcomer Krishnendu as the female lead. PP Kunhikrishnan, Nisha Sarang, Jolly Chirayath, Chembil Ashokan and many others will be seen in supporting roles in the film. Alby is the DOP and music is by Shaan Rahman. Kiran Das will be doing the edits for the film, which is produced by KG Anil Kumar’s Kichappus Entertainment.

The makers have already started shooting in Wayanad.

As reported earlier, director Mysskin is playing a significant role in the upcoming Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj film ‘Leo’. The ‘Anjathe’ director had wrapped up shooting for his portions recently. He had also shared a statement on social media briefing his experience on the sets of ‘Leo’ while also appreciating the team’s commitment, Lokesh’s directorial skills and Vijay’s humility.

Last day, Lokesh took to Twitter to share a photo taken with Mysskin on the sets of ‘Leo’. Along with that he wrote,

A million thanks won’t suffice to express how grateful and fortunate I feel to have had the opportunity to work with you in such close capacity. We had an absolute blast having you on sets Sir.I can never thank you enough but a million thanks ! #Leo

Mysskin is reportedly playing a negative role in the film. He had earlier revealed about performing action scenes with Vijay in it. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Sandy and Mansoor Ali Khan.

Kunchacko Boban, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shruti Ramachandran and Anagha in Ezra director’s next

‘Ezra’ director Jay K has started shooting for his new film with Kunchacko Boban, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shruti Ramachandran and ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ fame Anagha as the leads. Touted to be a light-hearted entertainer, the film is produced by Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinemas.

Jay K had announced a film titled ‘Grrr’ with Kunchacko Boban, Suraj Venjaramoodu as leads. As per reports, it is the same project that the makers have revived now. In a recent interview, the director revealed that it will be a VFX-heavy film. Shoot is currently progressing in Thiruvananthapuram with Jayesh Mohan as the DOP and Dawn Vincent as the composer.

Kunchacko Boban, who is currently on a holiday in North India, is expected to join the sets soon.
