Mammootty to play the lead in next Sugeeth film

Mega star Mammootty is now busy with his film named Thoppil Joppan directed by Johny Antony and scripted by Nishad Koya. In that film, he will be playing a Kabadi team owner and a kabaddi player who lives at Kottayam. Andrea Jeremiah is playing the female lead in this movie and the makers of the film is trying to rope Mamta Mohandas to play another important character in the movie. He is having films like White by Uday Ananthan and Kasaba by Nithin Renji Panicker as well which are getting ready for release. As per reports coming in, Mammootty is roped in to play the lead in next Sugeeth directorial film scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam.

Benny P Nayarambalam said that Mammootty had liked the story they narrated to him and shown interest in it. They are yet to convert it in to a full-fledged screenplay and other details will be revealed right after the completion of the script. This will be a project which will start rolling only in the second half of next year.

Benny P Nayarambalam will have another Mammootty film as well which he is writing for a newcomer named Saji. The film is said to be titled as One Two Three in which Mammootty will play three different characters. The movie is said to be start rolling in this coming August.

Sugeeth is the one who directed films like Ordinary, Three Dots, Madhura Naranga etc and fans of Mammootty is waiting for the official confirmation of this Sugeeth Mammootty film. Benny P Nayarambalam will have a film with Mohanlal-Lal jose team as well next year and he is doing a film with Dileep now titled as Welcome to Central Jail which had started rolling weeks back.

We had earlier reported that Dulquer Salmaan going to play the male lead in next Sathyan Anthikkad film. We also reported that actor Mukesh is going to play a key role in this film. Now, as per the latest report, Mukesh will play the father character of Dulquer Salmaan in this upcoming Sathyan Anthikkad movie in which both of them will play characters from Thrissur district.

The plot of the film will revolve around the relationship between this father-son duo playing by Mukesh and Dulquar Salman. The film is yet to be titled and the other details about the film will be announced soon.

Dulquer Salmaan’s character is a member of upper middle class business family from Thissur. Mukesh had acted with Mammootty in many films but he never shared screen space with Dulquer Salmaan till now. So it will be for the first time that Mukesh is going to share the screen space with Dulquer Salmaan. Mukesh had earlier acted in Sathyan Anthikkad films such as Rasathanthram, Vinoda Yathra, Innathe Chintha Vishayam etc.

Sathyan Anthikka said that the scripting of this upcoming Dulquer Salmaan film is completed and the location hunt is on. They are planning to start the film in this coming July. This will be a family entertainer like other Sathyan Anthikkad films. It will be interesting to see Dulquer Salmaan using Thissur dialect. His father Mammootty had used it successfully in Ranjith directorial film Pranjiyettan and the Saint in 2010.

Young Mollywood star Nivin Pauly to do Sidharth Siva directorial film as his next. Earlier there was reports that he will do a Tamil film as his next and later start his film with Althaf. But as per the latest news that coming in, he is all set to begin Sidharth Siva film once Sidharth Siva winds up his directorial venture titled Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho with Kunchacko Boban in the lead. This Kunchacko Boban film will be re-launching the Udaya banner in Mollywood. The film already in its final stage of filming at locations in Idukki district Kerala.

After the Sidharth Siva movie, Nivin will start the works of his Tamil film which is a Tamil remake of Kannada movie Ulidavaru Kandante. Meanwhile, the Althaf film will be delayed as per reports due to some technical reasons. They had already conducted audition for finding the female lead and they said to be found one as well.

This upcoming Sidharth Siva film will be a family entertainer as per reports and more details about the film will be revealed soon. Sidharth Siva films always known for its class and this one will be a classy entertainer from him as per reports. He had won national award as well for his films like 101 Chodyangal and Ain.

Nivin Pauly already had two releases this year and both of them become blockbuster successes. The first one was Abrid Shine directorial film Action Hero Biju and the second one was Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial flick Jacobinte Swargarajyam.

O. Anand, a cousin brother of actor/writer Anoop Menon had become the Kerala State Topper in Civil Service Examination this year. Anand had got the 33rd rank in all India Level as well. His father is Jayarajanunni who is a businessman and his mother is Mini who is a teacher. He is a native of Valancherry in Malappuram District of Kerala. Anoop Menon also is a first Rank Holder at state level in Five Year LLB Course conducted by Kerala University in 1999. He studied in Law College Trivandrum.

Anand had completed his higher secondary education from Thissur Devamatha C.M.I Public school. Then, he joined to study Engineering at Trivandrum C.E.T and his branch was Electronics and communications. He had completed that too successfully and later joined the Trivandrum Civil Service Academy for 3 months coaching.

Even though he failed in the preliminary exam at first attempt, he put all his effort on it in his second chance and got this great achievement. The subjects he chosen as his main for Civil Service Examination were Political science and International relations.

Theri beat the collection record of Kaththi and Thuppakki in Tamil Nadu

Ilaya Thalapathy is continuing with his success story as his latest release Theri is creating records at box office. The film written and directed by Atlee hit the screens all over on April 14. Amy Jackson, Samantha, Motta Rajendran, Mahendran, Baby Nainika etc played the key characters in this film in which Vijay played a cop role. The film got positive talk from all over and the collection also was big.

From its first week itself it had crossed 100 crore mark at box office and now the total worldwide collection said to be crossed rupees 160 crore. As per the latest report, the film had surpassed the record set by Vijay’s earlier films Thupakki and Kaththi in Tamil Nadu.

The film had already crossed the record set by Rajni Kanth’s Enthiran in 2010 at Tamil Nadu. As per the reports from trade guides, the film had earned more than 55 crores as distributor share in Tamil Nadu and crossed the total share earned there by Thupakki and Kaththi. The film had successfully completed 25 days in theaters and even after the release of Suriya’s 24 and Udayanithi stalin’s Manithan, Theri is still going strong there.

The film is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu who is also produced Rajni Kanth’s Kabali which is getting ready for release.

Suriya starrer 24 movie may have a sequel !

Vikram Kumar directorial film 24, which was produced by Suriya is going great in box office now. As per the first weekend collection report, the film had earned around 65 crores from worldwide and still getting decent collection on working days.

This science fiction fantasy film has Samantha playing the female lead opposite Suriya and Nithya Menon also doing an important character in it. AR Rahman had composed the songs for this film and Thiru’s camera work also got appreciated. Director Vikram Kumar himself written the screenplay of this film and he is getting applause as well for it.

Now, a report coming in that there may be a sequel to 24 and the director himself reportedly gave a hint about it in his media interactions. Some scenes which we saw in the trailer of the film is not there in the theater version. It said to be removed to reduce the length of the film. Many other scenes also got deleted to cut down the length of the film.

Reports says that all those scenes will be there in the sequel of the film, which is in its planning stage now. There is no official confirmation regarding this report yet, but the news certainly made the film lovers excited.

Mohanlal said that the filming of this flick had almost over. They are planning it to release it in coming July and the post-production is in full swing. The scenes involving tiger has been shot using real tiger and the graphics works are only around 20 percentage. They shot the scenes with a real tiger and he said that the scenes in which he acted with that real tiger is tough to describe in words. He had given his 115 days for the film and it is said to be the biggest film of his career till now.

He told to media that the film will tell a story with lot of human and animal emotion and there is an honest and realistic story behind this film. The action sequences were choreographed by Peter Hein and it will be a treat to the eyes of the audience. They are planning to release the dubbed version of this film in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and planning the release of a 2 hour English version too. There will be a Spanish and Chinese version as well if everything goes as per planning.

Mohanlal is currently busy with his Priyadarshan film named Oppam and he will join the set of his Telugu film Janata Garage after completing Oppam.

Last year a project named Nale Ravile was announced by Roshan Andrews-Prithviraj team, scripted by Bobby Sanjay duo. The film was expected to go on floors last year itself. But due to some problems the project not get materialized and Roshan Andrews-Bobby Sanjay team did another film with Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya in the lead titled School Bus. It is getting ready to hit the screens on May 27 as per reports.

Now, another news coming in which says that Nale Ravile is not dropped but Prithviraj Sukumaran is out from the project. Kunchacko Boban to play the lead in this movie written by Bobby-Sanjay duo and directed by Roshen Andrews.

Nyla Usha is roped in to play the female lead. She says that it is a bold female character and she got inspired after hearing the screenplay a year before.
