Another shocking news had come to the ears of Malayali film lovers today, as one of the popular young actor of Mollywood, Jishnu Raghavan was passed away. He was fighting with cancer for long years and had given up his fight today. In fact Jishnu was an epitome of will power and he had shown it through his life and his words were quite inspirational and emotional as well. That may be the reason as one of his last posts on Facebook is trending all over social media even after his death.

It was a post he had written on 8th March this year and that too from Intensive Care Unit. Now, those words brings tears in our eyes even though earlier it was more of an inspirational post. It was a Facebook post by him saying that he was in Intensive Care Unit but he said he feels positive and also advised everyone to be positive and energetic through a magic called smile.

Jishnu Raghavan told us that ICU was more or less like his second home and he wants to tell us about the positive changes that can happen to our life if we faces everything with a smile on our face. He showed to us that magic by smiling to everyone even when he was going through great pain. His smile and words gave us a lot of positive energy and relief. Even though his words are emotional as well along with inspirational, at that time the inspiration quotient was more visible. But now, after his death, when we reads those words, it will move us in to tears as the emotional nature of that words overpower us.

Jishnu was very much positive about a comeback to normal life and that optimism and will power very much visible in his each words and actions. Now, when he gave up his fight today, we can say that Jishnu Raghavan was a true warrior who fought with his life and make it sweat like never before in the battle field before the final victory it had over Jishnu.

Sreesanth to make his Mollywood debut through Team Five

Popular Indian cricketer, S Sreesanth is making his debut here in Mollywood through the film named Team Five. Sreesanth is now a popular figure in entertainment field through his mini screen anchor job and also through many dance related programs already had acted in some Telugu films reportedly. He is making his Malayalam cinema debut through a film named Team Five, which will be written and directed by another debutant named Suresh Govind. Raj Zakariah will produce this film under the banner of Celebs and Red Carpet. Krish will crank the camera for this film and the music direction of this film will be done by Gopi Sundar.

As per reports, the film is based on some adventure like Bike stunt and there are reports that Isha Talvar may come as Sreesanth’s heroine in this film. Sreesanth had already said that he is looking forward to the filming as he is playing a really challenging character looking at the adventurous scenes in the movie.

He said he loved the story very much and that is why he had agreed to do the film. There were some other reports, which says that he is planning to enter in to politics too and he may contest assembly election from Tripunithura this time under the ticket of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Anyway, we are waiting his Silver Screen avatar more eagerly than his political appearance and hope that Sreesanth will fire on Silver Screen as well just like did on the cricket ground with his aggressive attitude.

Malayalam actor Jishnu Raghavan passed away

Young Mollywood actor Jishnu Raghavan passed away today morning at a private hospital at Kochi. He was only 35 years old and was under the treatment for cancer for a long time. Jishnu was the son of veteran actor Raghavan and he had come to the film field as a child artist through the film named Kilippattu, directed by his own father Raghavan.

Later he made his debut as hero through the Kamal directorial film named Nammal, which was a success. He had acted in more than 25 films later and had made his Bollywood debut as well through the hindi remake of Malayalam super hit named Traffic. His last Malayalam film was Rabecca Uthuppu Kizhakkemala.

Kilippattu was released in 1987 which was even got selection in Indian Panorama. His other notable films are Choonda by Venu Gopan, Freedom by Thmapi Kannanthanam, Pouran by Sundar Das, Chakkaramuthu by Lohitha das, Parayam by Anil Babu, Ordinary by Sugeeth and Nerariyan CBI by K Madhu.

He took a short gap from acting and went to Delhi for a job. Later came back to Mollywood through Nidra, directed by Sidharth Bharathan, who had earlier made his debut with Jishnu through Nammal. Banking hours, Nidra, Ordinary, Rabecca Uthuppu Kizhakkemala, Annum Innum Ennum etc were the recent films in which he acted. Anu Emmanuel to be the heroine of Dulquer Salmaan in Amal Neerad movie

The much awaited project of this year from the team of Amal Neerad and Dulquer Salmaan is all set to start on this coming April 6 at Eerattu Petta. And the heroine of the film will be Anu Emmanuel who had made her debut as female lead through the super hit Nivin Pauly starrer named Action Hero Biju, directed by Abrid Shine. Anu Emmanuel, the daughter of producer Thankachan Emmanuel had made her debut as a child artist in the Kamal directorial film named Swapna Sanchari, which had Jayaram in the lead role.

This Amal Neerad-Dulquer Salmaan movie will have 25 days of shooting at Eerattu Petta and then will have a second schedule at America. The film will be produced by Amal Neerad productions and his associate Renu will crank the camera for this film. Deepak Parameshwaran will be the production controller of this film. This untitled film is scripted by Shibin Francis who had wrote the story of Prithvi Raj starrer film named Pavada, which was the first success of this year. Dulquer Salmaan and Amal Neerad is uniting for the second time. They had done together a film named Kullante Bharya, which was a segment of the anthology film named 5 Sundarikal.

Amal Neerad’s previous flick was Iyyobinte Pusthakam starred by Jayasurya, Fahad Fazil, Lal etc. It was a co- production of him and Fahad Fazil. Dulquer’s first release this year will be Kali, which will grace the screens on this coming 26th. It is directed by Sameer Thahir. Then he will have a release in March as per reports ad it will be Kammatti Paadam directed by Rajeev Ravi.

This Amal Neerad film will be his Onam release as per reports and the release date is said to be on August 12. There were reports that Dulquar is playing a dancer in this film, but later writer Shibin Francis said that it is all fake reports and there is no truth in it. Amal Neerad says that this one will be a complete fun film different from his usual movies.

A disappointing news for Malayalam film lovers had come as Charlie, directed by Martin Prakkat and starred by Dulquer Salmaan is not taking part in the national award race. The film which had won the most number of State film award is not a part of National Award selection as per reports. The reports says that it was because the team behind the film had not submitted the film for the national award selection process before the last date of receiving submission. They thought that a film can be submitted before the jury of national award selection only after the declaration of state awards. So they waited to declare the state awards and the time was over.

They tried their best later contacting many people for an exemption. But nothing materialized. The film had got 8 awards in state film awards such as best actor, actress, director, script writer, art director, camera man, costume designer etc. Now, the team behind the film is in big disappointment as they missed the chance to compete in the National award race.

35 films were sent to compete in the National Film Awards this time and that is a record. Out of which, 10 had reached the final round as well. There is some allegations that many Malayalam films were selected even after submitted too late. Then why Charlie is not selected giving an exemption based on its merit or considering it as the state award winning film..? That is the question now going all around. Charlie is one of the best technically perfect film made in Mollywood as well and denying a chance for the film to compete in National level is very disappointing.

Unni R and Martin Prakkat had together written the screenplay of this film which was a big box office success as well. The flick had reached the screens on last Christmas season and done a very good business along with the appreciation from critics and audience. The performance of Dulquar Salaman in this film is said to be his career best one too.

63rd National Film Awards to be declared on 28th March

As per reports, 63rd National Film Awards will be declared on the coming 28th March, Monday. The juries for feature, non-feature and other award selection is going through the final stages of required processes.  33 films from Malayalam had come to the competition and almost 10 films were entered in the final round of award selection as per reports. The total number of 33 films is a record as well for Malayalam cinema. This time an award will be given to the best movie friendly state or Union Territory area, for the first time in National award history.

Ramesh Sippy is the jury chairman for feature film awards and two malayalees also part of the jury. They are director Shyama Prasad and John Mathew Mathan. Almost 308 films had come for participating in the award race and 4 regional juries had selected best 35 from that 308 films. Out of this 35 films 10 are from Malayalam which contesting in final round.

22 Malayalam films were participating in the non-feature film category as well. The films that came for competing in the feature film category from Malayalam is Ozhivu Divasathe Kali, Kadhantharam, Pathemari, Lukka Chuppi, Chayam Pooshiya Veedu, Naropanishathu, Kadha Parayum Muthachan, Ben, Roopantharam, Pathrosinte Pramananhal, Ithinumappuram, Unarvu, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Arani-The Fire Inside, Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam, Kumbasaram, Idavappathi, Kattum Mazhayum, Velutha Rathrikal, Premam, Moha Valayam, Malettam, Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, Amoeba, Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum, Neena, Ilam Veyil, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Moondru Thuruthu, Machuka, Nammukkore Aakasham, Nirnnayakam, Crayons.

Popular Malayalam cinema actor and one of the great Kadhaprasangam artist in Malayalam VD Rajappan had passed away today. He has been suffering with age related ailments for a long time and was bed ridden at his home. He was popular all around Kerala for his art named Kadhaprasangam and later he become popular through many Malayalam films as well.

He is also made his mark in the field of parody songs. He had come to the field of Kadhaprasangam in 1969. The first film in which he acted is Kattupothu and his major Malayalam movies are Kakka, Kuyiline Thedi, Kusruthi Kattu, Engane nee marakkum, Panchavadi Palam etc. He had acted above 50 films in Malayalam.

His wife’s name is Sulochana and had two sons named Rajesh and Rajeev. Recently he has been in news as some social media pages spread the rumor that VD Rajappan is suffering with poor financial condition and needs help and support. But later his son came and said to the media that there is no such as situation in their family.

He has been in the news when actor Jayasurya offered him some financial help after winning the Vanitha awards and the controversy that happened later.
