Prakash Raj in trouble for doing advertisement against girls

Popular south Indian actor Prakash Raj has landed in trouble after acting in an advertisement which has dialogues which indirectly insults girls or saying against them. It is an advertisement of a popular jewelers in which Prakash Raj say that it is always a great tension to have a girl in the house who is old to get married. After seeing this advertisement a girl had filed a petition against Prakash Raj in court saying the actor has said something offending all the girls in general. The dialogue has the meaning that having girls is always a tension for parents as she had to be married off to someone.

The problem is the recent killing of female fetus has increased in many states across India as people consider girls as a tension or burden to their life and also they give more preference in raising boys. In a situation like this an advertisement which even if indirectly, stands against women or girls may affect the current situation in a negative way. And if an actor like Prakash Raj having a wide fan base promotes something negative, it could affect the society in a way unprecedented.

The one who filed this case against Prakash Raj in Madras High court is a social activist and she says that the advertisement is like insulting women and it can spread the view that girl children are a burden to the family. But as per reports the court said that Prakash Raj is only an actor and he has only performed his duty by following the instructions and dialogues given to him by the makers of the advertisement. So the case have to be taken against the ones who has conceived the advertisement and not against the actor who had acted in it as it is his profession to perform.

There is also a news spreading that the Madras high court has rejected the case filed against Prakash Raj given by the above mentioned social activist.

Mammootty-AK Sajan movie titled as Solamante Koodaram

The much awaited Mammootty film directing by A K Sajan will start on this coming August 21 and now the latest on the film says that it is titled as Solamante Koodaram. The film got great attention even before it started its filming because of the news came in that the script narrated by A K Sajan to Mammootty in the sets of Utopiayile Rajavu made Mammootty excited like never before and he gave instant dates for the film pushing back some other projects which was slated to begin after the shoot of Kamal’s Utopiayile Rajavu.

Actress Nayanthara will play the female lead opposite Mammootty after Bhasakar the Rascal by Siddique which was a success at box office as well. The reports says that actress Sheelu Abraham will also play also play a key role in this film along with Mammootty and Nayanthara. Sheelu Abraham has got a great time running for her now as after She Taxi by Saju Surendran this actress had got the chance to work with the universal star Mohanlal in Padma Kumar directorial film Kanal and now another chance came for her to share screen space with Mega star Mammootty in this AK Sajan project.

The Members of the crew of the film includes popular figures. This will be financed by Venu Gopal under his banner of G film international and will be distributed by Anto Joseph Film Company. The DOP of the flick will be Robin and editor of the film is the popular editor Vivek Harshan. Rafeeq ahammad will penn down the lyrics for the film and it will be composed with music by Vinu Thomas who shot to fame after the film Drishyam by Jeethu joseph-Mohanlal team.

Apart from the above mentioned cast actors like Vinay Forrt, Jayaraj Warrier and actress Rachana Narayanan Kutty also playing very important characters in this film. The flick is planning to release as a christmas release of Mammootty. There is also news heard that Mammootty and Nayanthara will be playing husband and wife in this film and Mammootty will play a Kottayam Achayan character in this flick.

Mammootty’s new Facebook photo going viral

Mega star Mammootty had posted a photo of in his facebook page today in which he seen to be climbing a steep rocky mountain. The picture has been taken while he is shooting for the advertisement for South Indian bank of which he is the brand ambassador. The advertisement was shot at Ramnagara Karnataka where the epic film in India Sholay was shot years before. Mammootty while posting this photo in his Facebook page made us remind about the epic film and he said that it was a kind of strange coincident that the advertisement was shot there on the day of the 40th anniversary of the epic movie’s release. Mammootty also posted a dialogue from the movie as well along with the photo which says that “Bache sojaa natho Gabbar Ajaayegaa.”

The photo speaks volumes about the actor’s dedication to the profession he is in. Mammootty turns 64 years old on this coming September 7 and at this old age the dedication and commitment he shows to the profession he is in really great to see and a lesson for all the youngsters who is coming to this industry as well as already started working in our industry. They have to learn that Super stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan had achieved this stardom not from sitting idle or within an overnight. Years of hard work, dedication and commitment to what they are doing is that what made them the kings in their field and that is why they are unmatchable.

We can see the same in the case of actors like Amitab Bachchan as well. Our new generation actors had a common trend among them that if they feel that they had got certain amount of star value in the industry then they tend to sit idle and tries to reap the fruit by making other work for them. Those ones had to look up to people like Mammootty and other we mentioned above to learn that success never comes without hard work. Luck or fortune is only a factor which helps while you are doing hard work.

Pavada starring Prithviraj starting this month

Prithviraj has a number of releases waiting for him as he had almost complete 4 films this year. The first one Double Barrel will hit the screens on this August 27 after much waiting. Then he has releases like Amar Akbar Antony, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Anarkali as well which are at different stages of its post production. And now he is about to start his new project named Pavada on this 22nd August and it will be directed by Marthandan who had directed films like Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus and Acha Din with Mammootty in the lead.

The flick will be financed by Maniyan Pillai Raju under the banner of Maniyan Pillai Raju productions and this will be his 10th Production venture after he started with the film Aey Auto a blockbuster success starring Mohanlal and directed by Venu Nagavally way back in 1990’s. The new film Pavada will be shot at locations of Thodupuzha and Kochi.

The story takes place in a place near a not so big city. The name of the protagonist is Joy played by Prithviraj who only has basic education and ready to do each and every job that offered to him for living. Once he come across a person who is professor Babu Joseph, who has great status in the society. The meeting of these two people who stands at two different level makes an impact on the lives of both of them and there is also many self realizations happening in the life of both of them as well. This story is told in a very pleasant way all through this film named Pavada.

Anoop Menon plays the character of professor Babu Joseph. The female leads of the film is Miya George and Asha Sharath. Nedumudi Venu, Renji Panicker, Saikumar, Siddique, Maniyan Pilla Raju, Sunil Sugatha, Kunjan, TP Madhavan, Sasi Kalinga, etc also playing key characters in this film. The screenplay and dialogues is written by Bipin Chandran and DOP will be by Pradeep Nair.

Marthandan needs a success badly through this film as his last film Acha Din released in the Ramzan season this year did not do good at the box office and his first film was also not a super success which ended up only as an average grosser at box office.

Brothers is the latest release from Bollywood this week which is directed by Karan Malhotra who gave us the blockbuster hit with the remake of Agneepath. Brothers has Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jackie Shroff in the key roles along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Ashutosh Rana. This is an official Bollywood remake of the Hollywood film named Warriors. Karan had delivered something very special with the remake of Agneepath starring Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt. So the expectation was very high when he announced his next project with Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead and that too a remake of a Hollywood film. Warriors is not a big success in Hollywood but noted for its storyline which has to do with some real life incidents.

Brothers as the title suggests tells the story of two brothers and their father. The story revolves mainly around these 3 named David, Monty and Garry played by Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jackie Shroff respectively. Jacqueline Fernandez has played the role of Janni who is the wife of David. They have a daughter who is suffering from kidney disease and David ends up in the need for lot of money for his daughter’s treatment. So he chose to take part in R to F fight competition with the help of Mr. Braganza who gives the chance to Indian fighter to participate in the R to F competition. Monty on the other side also preparing for the fight after his father had come from jail. Monty is the loved child of Gary which caused the problems in their family which lead to the accidental killing of his wife by Gary for which he suffers in jail for years. David leaves after the incident and that creates problems between the brothers as well.

The performance of the lead characters and the direction of Karan Malhotra had made this film fulfill the expectation people had it in this one. The great execution of the emotional flavor as well as action scenes had triggered out well and Akshay Kumar really stole the show as David. Your eyes will be wet at many parts of the film which is the best example of how the emotional part connected well with the audience but it could make many think the ingredients added were somewhat more. Like the director confirmed the movie is set on emotion which touch your heart, the people who come up for a Action- violent- thrilling can be a mismatch. So this over-emotion could drag some step for this as the first half was immersed in it.

The music by Ajay and Atul Gogavale was average that some demanded about Kareena’s special appearance song could have been more interesting but the song was picturized well. Brothers can be one of the best entertainer released in Bollywood this year if it keep up the fight with other B’s in B-town (Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan). And could have been emerged as one of the biggest blockbuster in Bollywood this year confidently if they could have more patient working on it rather than having tension about its release dates. There was some hurry seen all through the movie in the second half which also makes that part land on the safe zone combining together ends in the average mark.

Never done and will not do movies aiming at awards, says Nivin Pauly

Young actor Nivin Pauly is now going through the luckiest days of his life may be. All the limelight somehow falls upon him and he is now the most sought after young star of Mollywood after the superstars of Mollywood, Mammootty and Mohanlal. The consistency of his box office performance is the key towards his rising stardom and it was all started for him from last year beginning with the success of the film 1983 helmed by the debutant director Abrid Shine. And now he had passed another milestone in his career by bagging his first Best Actor award from the state film awards of Kerala and that too for his performances in the films such as 1983 which had begun his golden run at box office and Bangalore days, a multi starrer in which he became the darling of the audience.

Nivin Pauly says that he is very excited and happy after receiving the award from the state. It was really an unexpected reward for his efforts. So he has all respect for that and humbly receiving the honor. These awards are an inspiration for youngsters like him he said and he gives the credits of that award to Abrid Shine, Anjali Menon and all those worked behind those films which helped him to get that award.

He also said that when he heard about the honor the people came to his heart first was Vineeth Sreenivasan, then his close friends and family members etc. Nivin Pauly also said that he had never done a film aiming at awards or for getting awards. And he said he will never do any film for awards as well. He acted only in films which he can relate to himself as an actor and as a person. That is the sole criteria of him to select a film and will continue to do that as well.

When he hears a story and if it makes a spark in his heart then he will commit it after checking whether that spark is still there when reading the full script. There is no other criteria for judging a film for him, added this Best Actor of 2014.

Aashirvad’s next after Loham is with Mohanlal-Lal Jose team

Aashirvad Cinemas is undoubtedly one of the most successful production house in Mollywood with almost 80% of the films they had made becomes super profitable as well as evergreen super hits in Mollywood. The universal Star Mohanlal and his personal staff Antony Perumbavoor were the head of the production house and Aashirvad produces films only with Mohanlal in the lead. They also has a distribution unit which named as Maxlab.

They started off with the film named Narasimham conceived by Shaji Kailas starring Mohanlal which had become the first industry hit of Mollywood in the new millennium. The film which is now on the top list of the industrial hits of Mollywood is Drishyam helmed by Jeethu Joseph and that too was financed by Aashirvad Cinemas. In fact they are the only production house in Mollywood with two industry hits in their name.

Their last released production venture was Sathyan Anthikkad directorial film Ennum Eppozhum starring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier which was also a super hit at box office. Now the much awaited Onam film of Mohanlal conceived by Ranjith named Loham is also produced by Aashirvad Cinemas. In fact Aashirvad cinemas had produced the directorial debut of Ranjith named Ravanaprabhu (2001) which was also a blockbuster hit in Mollywood. Their last association which was released is Spirit in 2012 which was again a super success at box office as well as a critically acclaimed one.

And their next project after the release of Loham will be a stunner and it is the film which will mark the joining together of the complete actor Mohanlal and master movie maker Lal Jose for the first time. Film lovers are eagerly waiting for the coming together of these masters and as per sources the script work of the film had already started. The film will start by January next year after Mohanlal completes Puli Murugan and Jibu Jacob film. Meanwhile Lal Jose also will do a film before it, starring Kunchacko Boban and Nivin Pauly in the screenplay of Bobby and Sanjay.

But we still don’t even know who will be the writer of the much awaited Lal Jose- Mohanlal film financed by Aashirvad Cinemas.

Anushka put on enormous weight in bilingual movie, Size Zero

Actress Anushka Shetty is one of the most popular heroine in South India and she has a great number of admirers all around south India. Anushka is known not just as a glamorous actress but also as a great performer based purely on her acting skills as well. But now it is been reported in the news that it’s not for her role in Baahubali but for one of her upcoming film for which she had put on enormous amount of weight to play the character. The film is a bilingual one made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. In Telugu the film is titled Size Zero and in Tamil it is title as Inji Iduppazhaki. The first look poster of the film is out and in that Anushka is seen in a fatty avatar.

As per sources, she has almost put on 15 kg for playing that role in the film which discusses about the problems of a girl who is fat and big. She had transformed a lot and it will not be an exaggeration to say that it is a bit difficult to even recognize her in this new look. Arya is the male lead in this film which is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi. Anushka will have two getup in this film.

There is another news also coming up saying that this is the remake of the critically acclaimed Bollywood flick named Dum Laga Ke Haisha starred Ayushmann Khurrana. But it is not a confirmed report but just a rumour as of now. The first look poster of the film had received great response and people expects a masterclass from Anushka.
