Lakshmi Menon is a name quite popular in Mollywood as well as in Kollywood. Lakshmi had begun in Mollywood and now shining in Kollywood. Lakshmi Menon’s first film was Raghuvinte Swantham Rasiya which was released in 2011 and in 2012 she had acted in another Malayalam film named Ideal Couple. But both these films did not got much attention and Lakshmi went to Tamil with 2012 film named Sundara Pandyan. But the film that gave her the much needed break was the flick named Kumki and it was a great film as well. For the performance in this film she got nominated for the film fare award for best actress in 2012.
Then within 3 years she had really made it big in Kollywood with a handful of films which both commercial successes and critically acclaimed ones. Films like Jigarthanda, Nan Sigappu Manithan, Kuttipuli, Manjapai, Pandianaadu and the latest one is Komban with Karthi as her hero. Lakshmi had acted in a Malayalam film in between and that was with Dileep in Avatharam conceived by Joshiey the master film maker. Avatharam was a average grosser in box office.
Lakshmi has a dream in her mind and she says that her dream is to act with Mohanlal who is arguably the best ever actor our nation had ever seen. Lakshmi said in an interview that she wanted to do many films in Malayalam in the future. Lakshmi is only 17 years of age and she is waiting for her higher secondary results now. Lakshmi said that studies is her first preference. But she is in the middle of a busy schedule as well after the success of Komban with Karthi.
Lakshmi Menon is currently doing a Tamil flick in which Jayam Ravi is her hero and the flick is directing by Shakthi Sundar Rajan. She opened her mind In a recent interview and the actress said that Mohanlal is her most favorite actor of all times and love to do a character with him as it is one of her dreams to a part of the film in which Mohanlal is the hero. And we are also hoping that she may get the chance to act with our Complete actor and will see her in the screens of Mollywood through that one.

Will Shamili be Ajith’s heroine in the near future..?
Malayalees can’t forget Shamili and we still fondly remember her as baby Shamili who acted in many Malayalam films as child actress and the most popular ones being Bharathan directorial film Malootty in which Jayaram and Urvashi played the lead roles and second one is Harikrishnans conceived by Fazil in which the legends of Mollywood Mohanlal and Mamootty played the lead characters. Another popular film in which shyamili acted as a child artist is kamal directorial flick named Pookkalam Varavayi in which also Jayaram played the lead role.
In all these films baby shyamili had done a great job that she really conquered the hearts of all malayalees and film lovers. She is not baby shyamili now. Shamili always gave preference to studies as she had complete post-graduation in M.Com from Singapore. Shamili acted in a Telugu film as well while she was here in a vacation. That Telugu film does not done good at box office though.
The role which made her popular all around south India as a child artist was the role in Mani Ratnam directorial film named Anjali and that was a special role for a little child. Shamili is a good painter and dancer as well and she is studying bharatha natyam and karnatic music. And she said that she don’t have much friends but Aishwarya , daughter of actor Prabhu is her best friend who knows everything about her.
Shamili said that her sister Shalini was to her more than a mother and now all of their world is around the new born baby of Ajith and Shalini couples. She said that she is also a fan of Ajith and always tries to watch all of his films in the very first day itself. Shamili said that Ajith is the best human being she ever saw and her sister Shalini is a lucky girl to have him as her husband. Shamili also said that she had plans to act in films and want act as the heroine of Ajith and surprises may come in the near future.

Amala coming back to Mollywood
Amala Akkineni is a familier face for malayalees as she had done some terrific films in Mollywood which were super successes and quite popular here in Mollywood. The main films which gave them that kind of popularity here is Fazil directorial film Ente Soorya Puthrikku and Kamal directorial flick named Ulladakkam. In the former film she had worked with Suresh Gopi and in the latter one she had worked with our legend Mohanlal. And for the performance in the film named Ulladakkam she had got the film fare award for the best actress as well.
And she is all set to grace the screens of Mollywood again in the upcoming flick which will be directed by hit maker Arun Kumar Aravind and scripted by Shankar Rama Krishnan. Popular actress Manju Warrier will play the main lead in this flick and Amala will do a very important role in this film along with Manju Warrier, Revathy and Rahman. V A Sreekumar Menon is the one who finances this film and Shahanad Jalal will be the director of Photography of this flick. The shoot of the flick will start soon as per reports which are coming in from our industry.
Amala had acted in almost all south Indian language films and in Hindi films as well. After her marriage with Telugu super star Akkineni Nagarjuna in 1992 she had quit from her acting career. But later she came back to acting profession in 2012 through a Telugu film and also got many recognitions for her performance in that film named Life is beautiful which was a critical and commercial success. And also Amala is an activist in the field of animal welfare and preservation as well.
Amala made her debut in acting in tamil film industry and her first film was Mythili Ennai Kathali which was a super success at box office that time which gave her the much needed mileage in her first film itself. Amala had acted with Ngarajuna in films like Nirnayam, Kirai Dada, Siva etc and after that both fell in love and got married in 1992. Dhanush says that to deal with stardom is not the one which disturbs him and being humble always is the best way to deal with the rising stardom or something like that as far he is concerned. Dhanush said that his marriage with Aishwarya Rajinikanth was something like a kind of a child marriage as both of them were not much matured and still a child at their hearts.
Dhanush said that the mollywood film Drishyam was a real wonder and he really wanted to buy the rights of that film to remake it in Tamil. He admitted that he is a great fan of Mohanlal from the very early days and love to watch him onscreen and surely wants to act with him as it will be like a dream come true for him if he gets that opportunity.
Ennu Ninte Moideen will come to the screens soon
Ennu Ninte Moideen is a film which had raised a fair amount of anticipation right from the announcement of the project as it has a reference with the real life love story of Kanjana and Moideen. The flick will be directed by R S Vimal and the roles of Kanjana and Moideen had been essayed by Prithviraj and Parvathi Menon. The latest theater charting says that it will be on the screens of Kerala on August 7th of this year.
But there was some kind of issue had happened while it was filming as the real life Kanjana Mala came and said that she will commit suicide if the film is released here as she believed that the film is narrating her life story in the wrong light. The real life Kanjana Mala said that the film had included events which had no connection with her real life and also trying to insult her family members and relatives through the narration of the story in a wrong manner. And her threatening of suicide if the film had released make them in a state of confusion and the release itself had been in problem.
But the director of the film said that someone had really make Kanjana Mala misunderstood the situation and he said that they had not included any events which had no connection with her real life story. R S VImal said that they had collected information about the life of Moideen and Kanjana Mala from talking to the brother of Moideen named B P Rasheed. And he told that they never want to and intended to defame or insult any of the family members of Kanjana Mala through the film and the film does not have a single scene which insults or defaming her family.
This love story of Kanjana Mala and Moideen had an epic status in Malabar area which was really happened in the place named Mukkam. R S Vimal had made this same theme into a documentary as well titled Jalam kond Murivettaval. The Kozhikkod district of 1960’s has been recreated in this film as well. M Jayachandran had composed the songs for the flick and Jomon T john had cranked the camera for this film.
Will support Pranav in all his decisions, says Mohanlal
Universal star Mohanlal is a man who had clear opinion on everything going on around him. As a social animal he continuously take part in the issues happening in our society, observes those things and he gave us his opinions through his blogs and in that matter there is no other actor in mollywood who does this much activity in society with his thoughts and deeds. His blogs regarding various social matters had become greatly popular among the malayalees and it had really created great impact as well in Kerala as well. Mohanlal is known for being a diplomatic in many issues and he is also known for the open mind with which he talks. In such an interview recently he talked about his son Pranav Mohanlal and his plans.
For many years the most popular rumour in mollywood is the entry of Mohanlal’s son Pranav Mohanlal into the film field and there were many news came in saying that Pranav will make his debut in this film or that film etc. Mohanlal himself had said many times that Pranav had not shown any interest in making an acting debut as a hero in mollywood and he is more of a traveler and more interested in philosophy, books and writing etc. Pranav had acted earlier when he was a child and won state award as well for the best child artist. He also had done some cameos as well in two Mohanlal starrers.
But it was a surprising news when we heard that he had joined the film industry as an assistant director of Jeethu Joseph on the set of Papanasaham which was the official Kollywood remake version of Mollywood’s all-time blockbuster Drishyam starred by Mohanlal. Mohanlal said that he decided to work as an assistant director only because the film was produced in Tamil by his uncle Suresh Balaji and he is not sure whether Pranav will carry on with this or not.
Later Pranav had assisted Jeethu in his next mollywood film named Life Of Josootty as well which is filming now. Mohanlal said that Pranav Mohanlal had not said anything concrete to him about his plans and he said that whatever may be his son’s plans he will support that fully as a father.
