Prithviraj-Joshiy team again

There is a news coming in from our sources that Young super star Prithviraj and Master director Joshiy is going to put their hand together for a film very soon and it will be the third time Prithviraj will be seen in a Joshiy film. Their first association was for the film titled Robin Hood which was written by the Sachi-Sethu team and which has Narein, Jayasurya, Samvritha Sunil and Bhavana in key roles along with Prithviraj. Robin hood was a box office success as well for the team.

Then Prithviraj had done a cameo in the song of the film Twenty20 in which almost all the artists from AMMA had took part and was written by Udaya Krishna-Sibi K Thomas duo and financed by Dileep. It was also one of the biggest hit ever in Malayalam film Industry as per commercial scheme of things. The upcoming film of Joshiey with Prithvi raj will be written by Jinu Abraham who had written two films such as Masters conceived by Johny antony and London Bridge conceived by Anil C menon. In both of this films Prithviraj played the male lead and this will Jinu Abraham’s third film and third association with Prithvi Raj as well.

According to sources the film will have two heroines opposite Prithviraj and it will be a thriller type flick. The writer of this film Jinu Abraham was noted for his ability to create thrillers from his very first film named Masters and he tried romance in London Bridge, his second venture. As of now we don’t have more details about this flick and hopes that more details will come very soon with the official confirmation as well.

Joshiy is now waiting for the release of his film Lailaa o Lailaa with Universal Star Mohanlal and Amala Paul in the lead which was penned down by the famous Bollywood screenplay writer Suresh Nair.  Lailaa O Laila will hit the screens all over on May 14 th and it will be one of the biggest films of Joshiy’s career and a very important one as well.

Aparnna Gopinath again with Dulquer Salmaan

Dulquer Salmaan is on a high after all the appreciation he has got from media and celebrities for his show of skill in the kollywood film OK Kanmani made by Mani Ratnam. Even though his much awaited mollywood film 100 days of love which was released in this march was not reached up to the expected level of success. But this film OK Kanmani had really gave him a good mileage as a star and specially a romantic star in south India. When come to romance it seems that Dulquer Salmaan is more natural than any of the young heroes today in Mollywood. For that reason may be why he is getting more and more offers to do romantic flicks and he too accepting those films may be after realizing that romance is the strong point of him as an actor as he can do 100% justification to his roles rather than playing a melo drama or comedy character.

Now one of his upcoming films is going start its shoot in the May first week which will be a romantic flick as well. The movie will be directed by Martin Prakkat who had given him the success named ABCD in 2013. The heroine of the film is not yet selected but Aparnna Gopinath who played Dulquer Salmaan’s heroine in the film ABCD will play an important character in this film as well and it is no coincidence that Aparnna is working with Dulquer again after ABCD in the same director’s next film with Dulquer Salmaan who has directed ABCD.

This will be Martin prakkat’s next flick after ABCD and the film is financed by the director himself along with actor Joju George and Shebin Bucker under the banner of Finding cinemas. Aparnna Gopinath had acted with Dulquer’s father Mammootty also in Venu’s Munnariyippu for which she had got great appreciation as well as she performed quite brilliantly along with the legend Mammootty. This film will have Neeraj Madhav, Joju George , Chemban Vinod jose etc  and the story of the film is written by R unni after he wrote Munnariyippu.

Script will be done by Martin prakkat and Gopi Sundar will create the music for the lyrics penned down by Santhosh Varma and Rafeeq Ahammad. The DOP of the flick will be Jomon T john and Mahesh Narayan will be editor of this film. The main locations where the shoot of the film is scheduled is Kochi, Moonnar and Gujarath and Mammootty’s play house release will distribute this flick in the theaters near you.

Confusion of release date causes loss of revenue for Uttama Villain

Uttama Villain, the film which has been much awaited right from the very start of its announcement and which was written and starred by none other than universal hero Kamal Haasan was all set to release on this May 1 and due to some financial problems that occurred between the producer of this film Lingusamy and its distributors named Eros International  who were the leaders in the film distribution market the film got delayed in  India and it was resulted in huge loss in the initial collection of the film. The tamil version of the flick had been released  in the overseas market on April 30th and it was in India this problem happened much to the disappointment of the movie lovers here and all the shows were cancelled at the last moment which was indeed a shocker for Kamal Haasan.

Now a days the flicks sent through a tiny digital file to the theaters using the satellite support and through satellite they downloads the film into their system and opens it for projection with a digital key which is sent to them by the financing team of the movie. But due to the problems happened related to finance the keys to open Uttama Villain print was not sent to the theaters by the financing team and that held back of the digital key caused the cancellation of the shows all around India.

And it really was huge blow as the film had lost a great deal of its initial collection as a result of that. It is reported by the trade experts that the film had lost almost 12 crore business in India alone on the day of its release which was on May 1, 2015. The opening day collection is always important for any big budget flick. The film was later released on the next day clearing all the issues and got great positive response from the audience and it had collected rupees 3.5 crore that day and 6 crore the next day.

The flick was conceived by director Ramesh aravind and the film is getting appreciation for the performance of the Universal hero Mr. Kamal Haasan in it. He really stole the show with his fantabulous show of acting skills.

Bhaskar The Rascal moving to mega hit status

Mammootty can now take a breath of relief as his Vishu release named Bhaskar The Rascal had took a great opening at the box office and going to safe zone just before the May releases take over the majority of the theaters in Kerala. From last 5 years or from 2010 to be precise mega star Mammootty had no film at all which had grossed above 10 crore in Box office. Unfortunately Mammootty cannot claim a clean hit at box office over this period and was really struggling to get one and tried all his ways to get to that point at least once to have a grip at his stardom. And now at last the lady luck had smiled at him and after Pokkiriraja in 2010, another Mammootty film is crossed the 10 crore barrier at box office.

As per the reports coming from various media pages which says about the collection reports of the new releases Bhaskar The Rascal had grossed above 13 cr Rupees from 20 days of its theatrical run. There was no official confirmation at all for this collection report as we are giving you the comparatively believable one from all those reports given by those box office related pages.

We can’t make out which is the correct one as there is a huge difference between the reports given by different pages and without the official confirmation from the production team of the film we can’t say that this is the amount which is actually grossed by this film. But it is for sure that the film is a successful one considering the plight of the Mammootty films in last 4-5 years and also will cross the 10 cr mark which was eluding him for that period which was a kind of barren for him.

Siddique is the one at last came to the rescue of Mammootty providing this actor with a hit film and he maintained his record of 100% winning rate at box office as a director as all the films which he had directed were commercially successful and made profit irrespective of the critics rating or the Word of mouth from the people.

Suresh Gopi- Shaji Kailas team is one of the best actor-director pair in mollywood history when it comes to action films or thriller type films. Both of them have a natural taste to create these type of films and they had done it successfully several times and we all have loved those films right from the very beginning. And after a short break this team is coming together with the same kind of a film for which they are famous for and it will surely be a great news for the fans of both of this film personalities.

The news is confirmed by the director Shaji Kailas himself and he said that it will be a political thriller kind of movie in which Suresh Gopi will play a powerful character as he always does in a Shaji Kailas film. There was a rumour which came earlier that the controversial figure Saritha S Nair will play a role in this film. But the director Shaji Kailas said that it was all rubbish and there will not be any Saritha S Nair who is going play any role in this film.

The news which came earlier said that Shaji Kails is making a film which will deal with the life of the main convict of the solar case, Saritha S Nair. But he said that it was a fake news and the theme of his upcoming film had nothing to do with the life of Saritha S Nair and solar scam. The Tamil version of the Malayalam film Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri is the upcoming release of Shaji Kailas which is in Tamil titles as Vaigha Express.

King and Commissioner was the last film in which this team had joined and it was a failure at box office. But this team had delivered great hits like Thalasthanam, Vommissioner, Ekalavayan, Chinthamani Kola Case, Tiger etc over these years. Last year a news came in that B Unnikrishnan will write a script for Shaji Kailas- Suresh Gopi team and we don’t know whether this will be the one which B Unnikrishnan going to write. Shaji Kailas also had a Mohanlal-Ranjith-Renji Panicker project as well in next year which is not yet confirmed.

Super star Rajinikanth is in news always for some reason or other in kollywood and even the very minute details of his films becomes great news there and that was his star power and popularity as you all know. We reported to you all earlier that Rajinikanth to do a Shankar film in which Vikram may play the villain opposite him. There had been reports which also said that there may be the chance of Enthiran 2 to happen as Shankar  has plans to do it. At first it was to play the villain opposite Rajinikanth and later it changed to Kamal Haasan and now it is Vikram as per the news.

But the news which broke out yesterday is that Rajinikanth to do a gangster type role in his next film which will be conceived by director Ranjith who shot to fame with the success of Karthi starred film named Madras. It had been long years since Rajinikanth did a full -fledged gangster character and if we take a look back then it will be Baashaa in which he played a full-fledged role like this. Even though he had done some recent movies in which the characters he played has a flavor of these gangster characters it had not been an out and out gangster oriented ones.

And the report says that Rajinikanth will play his age in this film and that is because the actor want to do more natural type characters now which has a lot of scope for acting and he wants directors and script writers to bring him that kind of scripts more often from now. He was in search of such a screenplay and he was hearing a lot of scripts these days. After a lot of search he liked one and very impressed with the story and screenplay narrated by the director Ranjith and report reveals that he had shown green signal to the film maker to go ahead with the project.

Director Venakt prabhu was thrilled and tweeted congratulating Ranjith for this great chance as Venkat Prabhu is the mentor and guide of Ranjith for years.

Biju Menon to star in Vella Kaduva

Actor Biju Menon who is on a high after the tremendous success of his last year film Velli Moonga is all set to play the lead in couple of films this year as well and they are Vella Kaduva and Shake Hand. Vella Kaduva will be directed by Jose Thomas after the success he got with popular actor Dileep in his last two films named Maya Mohini and Sringaara Velan. Among these Maya Mohini was turned out to be one of the biggest hits in Dileep’s career and also in Mollywood cinema history which grossed around 20 crore from the screens all over.

Popular script writer and director Babu Jananrdhanan will pen down the script of this film with Biju Menon named Vella Kaduva. The similarity in title with Velli Moonga itself gives a lot of reach and publicity for this film. Vella Kaduva will be financed by Job G Umman under the banner of Jobli films and it will start filming from the first week of July and the major location where it is going to shoot is thrissur and iringalakkuda. The other details about the film is not yet revealed as the pre -production work is going on now and who will be the other artists in this film is not yet decided.

Biju menon will have another film as hero this year and it will be directed by the hit maker and popular director V K Prakash and the name of the film is Shake Hand. In this film Biju Menon will unite with Aju Varghese again after the success of the pair in Velli Moonga. Biju-Aju combo’s chemistry is well accepted by the audience and they played perfect foil to each other in the film specially in the comedy scenes.

V. Rajesh is writing the script for the story of Sarath Vhandran Wayanad. Nedumudi Venu, Pasahanam Shaji(Saju navodaya) and joy Mathew also playing key roles in this film and the film will have two new face heroines as well. David Kachappilly will produce this film which will have thrissur and dubai as main locations. Gopi Sundar will be the music composer of this film as well.
