KGF team release a special poster on Sanjay Dutt’s birthday!

Veteran Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is celebrating his birthday today. The makers of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ have released a special poster on this occasion. Dutt plays the antagonist character named Adheera. He appears menacing in this new look, which according to director Prashanth Neel, is inspired from the popular television series ‘Vikings’.

Starring Rocking Star Yash in the lead, ‘KGF 2’ is eagerly awaited by cinephiles across the country. The second part has some major additions to the cast. Veteran actress Ranveena Tandon will be seen essaying the Indian Prime Minister’s role. The character is said to be inspired from late Indira Gandhi. Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag, Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha and Malavika Avinash are also part of the film’s supporting cast.

‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ starring Jacob Gregory in the titular role was supposed to be Dulquer Salmaan’s maiden production venture. The film was set for release in the first half of the year but due to the virus outbreak, it had to be postponed. Today, on the occasion of Dulquer’s birthday, the first single from the film has been released online. Dulquer along with Gregory have sung the track.

‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ is said to be a fun rom-com. The film has an elaborate supporting cast. ‘Premam’ fame Anupama Parameswaran, Anu Sithara, Shritha Sivadas, Nayana Elza and Krishna Shankar will be seen in major roles.

The team behind ‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ majorly comprises of a bunch of newcomers. Debutant Shamsu Zayba is directing the film and it is scripted by Vineeth Krishnan. Camera is cranked by Sajad Kakku and music is composed by Sreehari K Nair. Appu N Bhattathiri is handling the editing department.

The film is expected to get a theatrical release as soon as the Covid-19 crisis is over.

Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating his birthday today. Right from midnight, social medias have been abuzz with wishes from fans, well-wishers and colleagues from within the industry. To make the occasion even more special for the fans, some new updates of Dulquer’s upcoming films were also shared.

Dulquer celebrated his birthday this year with some of his close friends and family members. From the film industry, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and his wife Supriya were present. From the Malayalam industry, superstar Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, Unni Mukundan Jayasurya, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sshivada, Chandini Sreedharan, Namitha Pramod and many others wished the star. Dulquer also received birthday wishes from pan-Indian celebs like Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, Kajal Aggarwal, Hansika Motwani, Raashi Khanna, Eesha Rebba etc.

Meanwhile, the makers of Dulquer’s much-hyped ‘Kurup’ shared a sneak peek video and it has already gone viral. Besides that, a trilingual period love story in which Dulquer will be playing the lead also got announced. Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ fame will be directing the film. Swapna Cinema, one of the producers of the star’s maiden Telugu film ‘Mahanati’, will be bankrolling this one as well.

Vijay Babu’s production house Friday Film House is known for introducing new talents to the Malayalam industry. Right from the banner’s first film, ‘Friday’, they have launched several new actors and technicians. They continue to experiment as their next film will be a dog-film. Titled as ‘Valatty’, it will feature real dogs.

Vijay Babu announced the film by sharing the first look poster online. His post reads,

‘Valatty’ will be directed by Devan. A Golden Retriever, a Cocker Spaniel, a Rottwieler and an Indian country dog will be seen as characters named Tomy, Amalu, Bruno and Karidas. The dogs are being trained for the last one year for this film. As per the makers, it will be the first Indian film with real dogs playing the central characters without the help of VFX. Along with the dogs, some known actors will also be part of the film.

Vishnu Panicker will be cranking the camera and edits will handled by Ayoob Khan. Debutant Varun Sunil is the music director.

It is Malayali actor Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday today. Wishes are pouring in from all corners for the star. Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, who is quite close to Dulquer, has shared his birthday wishes in Twitter. Along with sharing a photo taken with Dulquer and Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu, Raina also wrote,

Earlier this year in March, Dulquer had his first fan boy moment when he got to meet and spend time with Raina in Chennai. The cricketer was in the city as part of preparations for the IPL season. Dulquer’s fan boy moment got even more special when Raina mentioned about his performance in the Hindi film, ‘The Zoya Factor’.

More recently, during an interaction with his fans, when he was asked to pick an actor he would prefer to see in his biopic, Raina mentioned Dulquer and Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor.

Oru Kuttanadan Blog director Sethu to team up with Asif Ali for Maheshum Marutiyum

Sethu of the popular Sachy-Sethu combo turned an independent filmmaker in 2018 with the Mammootty starrer ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’. He is now set to helm his second film, this time with Asif Ali as the lead. The film has been titled as ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ and it will be produced by veteran actor Maniyanpilla Raju.

According to Sethu, ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ is a triangular love story between Mahesh, a girl and a Maruti 800 car. The story revolves around Mahesh’s emotional attachment to the vehicle and how things change after a girl enters his life.

Apparently, ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ was supposed to be Sethu’s directorial debut. However, when he got an opportunity to direct Mammootty, he went ahead with ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’. Pre-production works are already underway.

Asif Ali meanwhile has a bunch of promising projects lined up. He was shooting for Rajeev Ravi’s cop-thriller ‘Kuttavum Shikshayum’ when the lockdown was announced. ‘Kunjeldho’ directed by RJ Mathukutty is most likely to be his first release once theatres resume functioning. He also has ‘Ellam Sheriyaakum’ with Jibu Jacob, ‘Thattum Vellattam’ with Mridul Nair and and an untitled film with M Padmakumar coming up.

Official: Dulquer Salmaan to play an army officer in his next Telugu film!

On the special occasion of Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday, a big announcement of his new Telugu film has been made. Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ fame will be directing the film. Swapna Cinema, one of the producers of Dulquer’s maiden Telugu film ‘Mahanati’, will be bankrolling this one as well. Priyanka Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies will be presenting the film, which is yet to be titled.

From the announcement poster, it is learnt that Dulquer Salmaan will be playing the role of an army officer named Lieutenant Ram. It seems to be a love story set in the 1960s. Reports suggest that ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’ fame Pooja Hegde will be paired with Dulquer in this film. The makers are yet to confirm it.

Dulquer is already familiar with the Telugu audience thanks to the huge success of ‘Mahanati’, in which he played the role of late actor Gemini Ganesan. ‘Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante’, the Telugu version of ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal’, also had a fair run in the Telugu-speaking states. Thanks to the star’s wide popularity in the South, the new film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi will be released in Tamil and Malayalam as well.

Rakita Rakita Rakita: First single from Jagame Thandhiram out on Dhanush’s birthday

It’s actor Dhanush’s birthday today and on this special occasion, the first single from his much awaited film ‘Jaga Thandhiram’ has been released online. The track titled ‘Rakita Rakita Rakita’ is sung by the ‘Rowdy Baby’ combo of Dhanush and Dhee. It is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and lyrics is penned by Vivek.

‘Jagame Thandhiram’ is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. It is his first film with Dhanush and hence expectations are on the higher side. Aishwarya Lekshmi and ‘Game Over’ fame Sanchana Natarajan will be seen as the female leads in this films which is said to be a gangster flick.

Major portions of the film is set in the UK. Dhanush will be appearing in two different looks in the film, one as a Madurai based gangster and the other set in London. While Aishwarya Lekshmi shot for the London portions, Sanchana Natarajan was part of the Tamil Nadu schedule.

Hollywood actor James Cosmo, who has starred in films like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Troy’ and the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, is also essaying a crucial role in the film. Malayali actor Joju George and ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiyarasan are also part of the supporting cast.

Malayali heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating his birthday today. Fans, well-wishers and colleagues from film industry have been wishing him through social medias. Prithviraj and his wife Supriya seem to have attended Dulquer’s birthday bash last night. They both have shared photos in their respective social media handles. In his tweet, Prithviraj also called Dulquer the best burger chef in town.

Prithviraj and Dulquer have become very close over the last few months. While Prithviraj was stuck in Jordan during the ‘Aadujeevitham’ shoot, Dulquer used to regularly enquire about his well being. Some of their interactions in Twitter had also grabbed attention. More recently, the two were seen taking their luxury cars on a spin, the videos of which became viral.

Kurup sneak peek video out on Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday

It is Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday today and as expected, the makers of ‘Kurup’ have come with a new update. A short sneak peek video has just been released online. The film directed by Srinath Rajendran is based on India’s most wanted fugitive, Sukumara Kurup.

Kurup is accused of murdering a person named Chacko. He allegedly committed the crime to fake his own death and claim an insurance amount of Rs 8 lakhs by killing Chacko who bore a resemblance with him. He is supposed to have fled abroad after the incident and has been absconding for over 30 years now. The Chacko murder case is one of the longest standing cases in the judicial history of Kerala.

‘Kurup’ has its story written by Jithin K Jose and screenplay is penned jointly by KS Aravind and Daniel Sayooj Nair. Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko. Vijayaraghavan, Surabhi Lekshmi and many others are part of the cast.

On the technical front, cinematographer Nimish Ravi of ‘Luca’ fame, music director Sushin Shyam, art director Vinesh Bangalan and editor Vivek Harshan form the core team. Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films is producing the film along with M Star Entertainment.

Regarding the release, ‘Kurup’ was originally supposed to hit screens earlier this year during the Eid season. But due to the Covid-19 scenario, the makers had to postpone it. No further updates has been made yet.
