Check out the teaser of Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal

We were among the first to report about veteran director Kamal teaming up with a bunch of young talents for a new film titled ‘Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal’. Vinayakan plays a major role in the film, teaser of which was released online last day. Exquisitely shot underwater, the teaser features Vinayakan’s character trying to hunt a giant sized shark.

‘Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal’ is said to be a teeenage love story. A bunch of youngsters will be making their debut with this movie. Dileesh Pothan, Gabri Jose, Ridhi Kumar and many others are part of the supporting cast. Director Kamal has scripted the movie jointly with John Paul.

Shaan Rahman is the music director and cinematography is by Vishnu Panicker. Shameer Muhammed is handling the edits. The movie is being produced by John Vattakuzhi under the banner of Dani Productions. Official word regarding the release date is yet to be made.

While ‘Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo’ continues to garner excellent response from all corners, its makers have released a new teaser online. Hitting screens last Friday, the movie opened to largely encouraging reviews, from both the critics and general audience. Celebrities like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Nadhirshah, Basil Joseph, Madhupal and many others have heaped praise on the makers and congratulated them for the movie’s success.

‘Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo’ is directed by G Prajith and scripted by National award winner Sajeev Pazhoor. Biju Menon and Samvritha Sunil play the leads roles in the movie, which has been rated by many as a clean entertainer that appeals to audience of all age groups. Alencier Ley, Sudhi Koppa, Srikanth Murali, Bhagath Manuel and some others part of the supporting cast.

‘Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvo’ is a realistically made entertainer with elements of social satire, family drama and thriller. The movie is certain to have a good run in the box office. It is also set for release in GCC centres.

Shanker Ramakrishnan’s directorial debut ‘Pathinettam Padi’ had hit screens on July 5. The movie opened to mixed reviews, with a section of audience being attracted by the cameo appearances. Mammootty appears in an extended cameo role, while actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Unni Mukundan, Priya Mani and Saniya Iyappan appear in brief guest roles.
Meanwhile, the makers have released a new song online. This peppy party number features Saniya Iyappan and a few others.

‘Pathinettam Padi’ is basically the story about the rivalry between a bunch of teenagers from two different schools. While the technical side and performances of the newcomers have been appreciated by many, criticism is largely about the inconsistent screenplay and the overdose of dramatic dialogues.

The technical side of ‘Pathinettam Padi’ mostly comprises of newcomers. Cinematography is handled by Sudeep Elamon while music is done by KH Kaashif. Bhuvan Sreenivas is the editor. August Cinema has produced the movie.

Aishwarya Lekshmi in talks for Dhanush’s next with Karthik Subbaraj

It is already known that Dhanush has signed a film with director Karthik Subbaraj. The project was officially announced a couple of years back but there were not many updates since then. As per latest reports, Karthik Subbaraj is now reviving the project and pre-production works are already underway. Y Not Studios is producing the movie.

Latest buzz is that Malayali actress Aishwarya Lekshmi is being considered to play the female lead in the movie. Aishwarya shot to fame with the romantic film ‘Mayaanadhi’ and followed it up with impressive performances in ‘Varathan’ and ‘Vijay Superum Pournamiyum’. She is currently one of the most wanted heroines in Malayalam and has ‘Brother’s Day’ with Prithviraj as her next release.

Aishwarya Lekshmi is said to be making her Tamil debut with Sundar C’s upcoming film, which has Vishal in the lead. Tamannah Bhatia is also part of the film, shoot for which is currently underway.

The makers of upcoming movie ‘Margamkali’ have released the first character teaser online. Kunchacko Boban shared the teaser, which features an hilarious Hareesh Kanaran as Tik Tok Unni. The movie stars scriptwriter-turned-actor Bibin George and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles. It is directed by Sreejith Vijayan of ‘Kuttanadan Marapapa’ fame.

From the earlier released posters and the teaser, ‘Margamkali’ gives vibes of a full-on fun filled entertainer. The movie has its story and screenplay penned by debutant Shashankan, while dialogues are written by lead actor Bibin himself. Baiju Santhosh, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Surabhi Santhosh, Shanthi Krishna, Siddique, Soumya Menon, Bindu Panicker and many others are part of the supporting cast.

On the technical side, Arvind Krishna is the cinematographer and Gopi Sunder is the music director. Johnkutty is handling the editing department. The movie is being produced jointly by Alwin Antony and Listin Stephen under the banners of Magic Frames and Ananya Films. It is scheduled to hit screens next month.

Official: Kaappaan audio launch date announced

The makers of ‘Kaappaan’ have announced that the audio launch will be held this coming Sunday (July 21). It must noted that Suriya is celebrating his birthday on July 23, so the audio launch is more like an early treat for the fans. Recently, the first single from the movie was released online. The track titled ‘Siriki’ is s fast dance number that is rendered by Senthil Ganesh and Ramani Ammal. It is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

‘Kaappaan’ directed by KV Anand has a stellar star cast lead by two of South cinema’s biggest stars – Mohanlal and Suriya. The movie has Mohanlal as the Indian Prime Minister, Chandrakanth Varma, and Suriya as the high-rank National Security Guard (NSG) officer, who is in charge of the PM’s security. The movie’s cast also includes Arya, Sayyeshaa, Boman Irani, Shamna Kasim and Samuthirakani in major roles.

Lyca Productions is producing ‘Kaappaan’. Besides Tamil, the movie is also releasing in Telugu as ‘Bandobast’. The movie is scheduled for a grand release on August 30.

Shoot begins for Prithviraj’s Driving Licence

After wrapping up the shoot of ‘Brother’s Day’, Prithviraj has now joined the sets of ‘Driving Licence’. Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr is directing the movie and it is scripted by Sachi. It is the second production venture of Prithviraj’s banner after the science-fiction thriller ‘9’. Prithviraj Productions is jointly funding this movie with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames.

Jean Paul Lal has earlier directed the fun flick ‘Honey Bee’, its sequel, and an underrated dark thriller in ‘Hi, I’m Tony’. His new film ‘Driving Licence’ has been planned as a complete commercial entertainer. The movie has Prithviraj playing the role of a superstar, who is passionate about luxury cars. Suraj Venjaramoodu is also there in a prominent role, as a vehicle inspector. More details regarding the supporting cast is expected to be revealed soon.

Cinematographer Alex J Pulickal, composer duo Yakzan Gary Perera and Neha Nair, and editor Ratheesh Raj are part of the movie’s technical crew.

Dileep’s new film titled as My Santa

We had recently reported about Dileep signing a new film with director Sugeeth, who has delivered hit films like ‘Ordinary’, ‘Madhura Naranga’ and ‘Shikkari Shambu’. The two are teaming up for the first time and their upcoming film has been titled as ‘My Santa’. Along with Dileep, the movie will also have a bunch of kids as part of the cast. Touted to be a fun-filled entertainer, the makers are planning it as this year’s Christmas release.

Dileep is currently shooting for ‘Jack Daniel’, directed by SL Puram Jayasurya. After its completion, he will be shooting for the remaining portions of his ambitious 3D film ‘Professor Dinkan’. ‘Keshu Ee Veedinte Naathan’ with Nadirshah,
‘Parakkum Pappan’ with debutant Viyan Vishnu and ‘Pickpocket’ with P Balachandra Kumar are his other confirmed projects.
