Oru Poo Chendu: Here’s a new song from Shibu

A new song from upcoming Malayalam movie ‘Shibu’ has just been released. The romantic track ‘Oru Poo Chendu’ is composed by Vignesh Baskaran and rendered by Anwar Saduth. Vinayak Sasikumar has penned the lyrics. The movie is directed by newcomers Arjun Prabhakaran and Gokul Ramakrishnan.

From the earlier released trailer, we presume it to be a fun filled entertainer. Debutant Karthik Ramakrishnan plays the main lead in the movie. The protagonist here is a hardcore Dileep film and the movie traces the events that occur in his life. Anju Kurian, known for her roles in ‘Njan Prakashan’ and ‘Om Shanthi Oshana’, plays the female lead. Salim Kumar, Biju Kuttan, Aiswarya Padmakumar and Lukman are part of the main cast.

The movie’s technical crew comprises of Shabeer Ahammed as the cinematographer and Noufal Abdullah as the editor. Sachin Warrier and Vignesh Bhaskaran have composed the music. The film is being produced under the banner of Kaargo Cinemas.

As reported by us earlier, Asif Ali starrer ‘Kakshi Amminippilla’ will be hitting screens on June 28, Friday. As the release date is closing in, the makers have been actively promoting the movie. As part of it, a new song from the movie has been released online. The track titled ‘Aval’ is rendered by the current favorite Harisankar and composed by Arun Muraleedharan. Lyrics is penned by veteran Rafeeq Ahamed.

‘Kakshi Amminippilla’ directed by debutant Dinjith Ayyathan and scripted by Sanilesh Shivan is basically a court-room drama.
It is centred around the case of newly wed couple, Shajith Kumar Amminipilla and wife Kanthi Sivadasan. Asif Ali plays the lead role of advocate Pradeepan Manjodi, a political aspirant who is initially reluctant but later takes up the divorce case

The movie has a big supporting cast comprising of Ahmed Siddique, Fara Shibla, Basil Joseph, Nirmal Palazhy, Sudheesh, Mamukkoya, Sreekanth Murali, Sivadas Kannur, Lukman, Babu Annur, Aswathy Manoharan, Sarayu Mohan and many others.

Arun Muraleedharan and Samuel Aby have composed the songs in the movie while background score is done by Jakes Bejoy. Bahul Ramesh has handled the camera and edits are by Sooraj ES. Riju Rajan is producing the movie under the banner of Zarah Films. E4 Entertainments is releasing it in Kerala.

After the excellent response to the first single ‘Ore Kannal’, the makers of Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Luca’ have just released the second song online. The track ‘Vanil Chandrika’ is composed by Sooraj S Kurup and rendered by Aravind Venugal and Zia Ul Haq. Shabareesh Varma has penned the lyrics.

‘Luca’ directed by debutant Arun Bose is touted to be a romantic thriller. Director Arun has scripted the movie jointly with another newcomer, Mridul George. Tovino and Ahanaa Krishna are pairing up for the first time with this movie. Though romance is part of it, ‘Luca’ is primarily an investigative thriller.

Nithin George, Vineetha Koshy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jaffer Idukki, Neena Kurup, Chembil Ashokan, Pauly Valsan and Devi Ajith will be seen in other prominent roles. Linto Thomas and Prince Hussain are jointly producing ‘Luca’ under the banner of Stories and Thoughts Productions. The movie is scheduled for release on June 28.

The movie stars scriptwriter-turned-actor Bibin George and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles. It is directed by Sreejith Vijayan of ‘Kuttanadan Marapapa’ fame. The first look poster featuring Bibin, Namitha, Baiju, Dharmajan Bolgatty and Hareesh Kanaran gives vibes of a colorful fun filled entertainer.

As informed earlier, exactly at the stroke of 12 AM, the second look poster of Vijay’s new film ‘Bigil’ has been unveiled. The star is celebrating his birthday today (June 22), so the posters have been unveiled as a special treat for his fans worldwide.

‘Bigil’ is directed by Atlee, who is reuniting with Vijay after the blockbuster success of ‘Theri’ and ‘Mersal’. Unlike their earlier films, that were regular mass entertainers, this one is a sports based flick centred around woman’s football. As per the makers, ‘Bigil’ is a mass commercial tale that touches upon football, politics in sports, friendship and emotions.

Vijay plays a dual role in the movie, as a elderly gangster and a football player. Nayanthara is paired with Vijay in the movie. Induja, Varsha Bollamma and Reba Monica John will be seen in prominent roles as players of his football team. Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anand Raj and many others are also part of the supporting cast.

Academy award winner AR Rahman has score music for the movie and cinematography is by ‘Mersal’ fame GK Vishnu. AGS Entertainment is producing the movie, which is scheduled for a grand Diwali release in October.
