It’s a wrap for Vineeth Sreenivasan starrer Manoharam

Vineeth Sreenivasan’s next to hit screens will be ‘Manoharam’ directed by Anwar Saddiq. Shoot for the movie got wrapped up last day. Vineeth took to his official social media handle to share the news. He has written,

For the past two months, we all have been part of this beautiful journey.. from the rehearsal camp to our script reading sessions to shooting the film, everything about Manoharam was beautiful.. I hope and pray that when the movie releases, people will feel the same way too..

Vineeth Sreenivasan has worked previously with director Anwar Sadiq in ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’, which was released in 2014. Along with Vineeth, ‘Manoharam’ also has a good lineup of supporting actors. Indrans, Basil Joseph, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Peradi, Jude Anthany Joseph, VK Prakash, Delhi Ganesh, Ahmed Siddique, Nisthar Sait, Manju Sunil, Kalaranjini, Sreelekshmi, Veena Nair and Nandini are part of the cast.

The movie has cinematography by Jebin Jacob and music by Sajeev Thomas, a former associate of maestro AR Rahman. Edits will be handled by Nithin Raj. It is being produced by Jos Chakkalakal of Chakkalakal Films.

Arbaaz Khan to play a police officer in Mohanlal’s Big Brother

Mohanlal’s new film ‘Big Brother’, to be directed by Siddique is getting ready to start rolling next month. The makers are currently busy with the casting process. The movie will mark the Malayalam debut of Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan. He is playing the role of an IPS officer in the film and will be joining the team soon after the completion of ‘Dabaang 3’, which he is co-producing with his brother Salman.

‘Big Brother’ is said to be a big budget film loaded with action and humour. Mohanlal and Anoop Menon play siblings in the movie. As per the makers, it will be a family entertainer with good dose of humour, action and sentiments. South Indian actress Regina Cassandra is in talks to play the female lead. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, ‘June’ fame Sarjano Khalid and Tini Tom are also part of the cast.

‘Big Brother’ is being produced jointly by director Siddique’s own banner S Talkies and Vaishaka Cinema. The movie is scheduled to start rolling on June 25.

‘Unda’ starring Mammootty is a very promising film that’s getting ready for release this Eid. The movie directed by Khalidh Rahman of ‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’ fame is touted to be an comedy action thriller. The makers are current releasing the posters of all major characters in the film.

Last day, a poster featuring Arjun Ashokan was releasing. The youngster’s character is named as Gireesh TP. Arjun is widely rated as one of the most promising young actors in Malayalam cinema today. His performances in films like ‘Parava’, ‘B Tech’, ‘Varathan’ and more recently in ‘June’ have made him an audience favorite. He is expected to deliver another memorable performance in ‘Unda’.

The movie has Mammootty playing the role of a police sub inspector. Director Khalidh has penned the story which revolves around a set of events that occur when an unit of policemen from Kerala reach the Naxalite prone areas in North India on election duty. Harshad has written the screenplay.

Asif Ali, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Jacob Gregory, Sudhi Koppa, Rony David, Dileesh Pothan, Lukman, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Bhagwan Tiwari, Chien Ho Liao are part of the movie’s cast. Krishnan Sethukumarr is producing the film under the banner of Movie Mill in association with Gemini Studios.

The film titled as ‘Jinn’ will have last year’s Kerala State award winner Soubin Shahir and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. An intriguing first look poster was unveiled last day through Dulquer Salmaan’s official social media handle. Along with sharing the poster, Dulquer has also written,

As informed earlier, South Indian actress Regina Cassandra is in talks to play the female lead. Anoop Menon, Arbaaz Khan, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, ‘June’ fame Sarjano Khalid and Tini Tom are also part of the cast.

Shane Nigam’s new film titled Veyil

Shane Nigam is currently on a high after the superhit success of ‘Kumbalangi Nights’. His performance as one of the lead characters in the movie was well received and earned him praise from all corners. The actor now has some promising films coming up. He has recently signed for a new film titled ‘Veyil’.

Debutant Sarath Menon, a former associate of Lijo Jose Pellissery, will be directing this film. It will be predominantly shot in and around Irinjalakuda. Along with Shane Nigam, the movie will also have Suraj Venjaramoodu and Shine Tom Chacko in major roles. Tamil playback singer Pradeep Kumar will be composing music for this film.

Salim Ahamed scripted the movie after being inspired by the real lives of several filmmakers. Siddique, Anu Sithara, Lal, Sreenivasan, Salim Kumar, Zarina Wahab and Appani Sarath are part of the supporting cast. The movie has got some big names in the technical side as well. Omar Lulu to team up with ‘My Story’ director Roshni Dinaker

Last day, it was announced that filmmakers Omar Lulu and Roshni Dinaker will be coming together for a new romantic flick. Omar Lulu has penned the story and Roshni will be directing the movie, which is yet to be titled. The former is also producing it under his newly launched banner Omar Lulu Entertainments. Like all his other films, this one will also have a bunch of newcomers as part of the cast.

Roshni Dinaker made her directorial debut last year with the Prithviraj-Parvathy starrer ‘My Story’. The movie failed to impress both the critics and the common audience. So, she will be trying to rectify the mistakes and deliver a wholesome entertainer this time. This upcoming movie is said to be a rural based rom-com.

The movie has much importance to music and Gopi Sunder has been signed to handle the same. Its technical crew also comprises of cinematographer Vinod Perumal, editor Dileep Dennis and sound designer Renganaath Ravee. The makers have planned to start shooting from August.

The official trailer of Sivakarthikeyan’s new movie ‘Mr Local’ has just been release. The movie written and directed by M Rajesh promises to be a complete fun entertainer. Nayanthara plays the female lead in the movie. It is her second film with Sivakarthikeyan after the successful ‘Velaikkaran’.

‘Mr. Local’ is touted to be a typical Rajesh still fun filled entertainer. The director is popular for his hit films like ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’. Sivakarthikeya has previously worked with Rajesh in ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’, which was co-written by the latter.

‘Mr. Local’ also stars Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Sathish, Harija, Thambi Ramaiah and Robo Shankar in key roles. The movie has cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and music by Hip Hop Thamizha. KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is producing the movie, which is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on May 17.

Mammootty’s next with Ajai Vasudev will be a full on mass entertainer: Gopi Sunder

Recently, on Easter day, it was announced that Mammootty will be teaming up with director Ajai Vasudev for a family oriented mass entertainer. Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment is producing the movie. Newcomers Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed have scripted the movie, which has not yet been titled.

Last day, during a casual interaction with his followers in Facebook, music director Gopi Sunder was asked about his upcoming projects with Mammootty. He informed that he is currently composing a few tracks for Ajai Vasudev’s film. Gopi assured that it will be an out and out “pucca” mass entertainer.

Mammootty and Ajai Vasudev have previously worked together in ‘Rajadhiraja’ and ‘Masterpiece’. Both the films were action-packed mass flicks and fared pretty well commercially. Their upcoming film is also said to be a similar one, but on a bigger canvas. The y are planning to start shooting from the first week of August after Mammootty wraps up his other commitments.
