Paadi Njan: Here’s the first song from Thamaasha

As informed earlier, the first song from Vinay Forrt’s upcoming movie ‘Thamaashaa’ has just been released in social medias. The song titled ‘Paadi Njan’ is sung and composed by Shahabaz Aman. Rex Vijayan has arranged the track and lyrics is penned by writer-director Muhsin Parari. The song has lovely visuals that follows the budding romance between lead actors, Vinay Forrt and Divyaprabha.

‘Thamaasha’ is written and directed by debutant Ashraf Hamza. Industry insiders have pinned high hopes on the movie as it has some big names on the production side. Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid, Lijo Jose Pellissery and Chemban Vinod Jose are coming together to produce the movie under the banner of Happy Hours Entertainment.

Along with production, Sameer is also cranking the camera. Rex Vijayan and Shahabaz Aman are handling the music department. Sadique Mohammed Ali is the editor. The movie’s supporting cast includes ‘Kumabalangi Nights’ fame Grace Antony, Chinnu Sarojini, Navas Vallikkunnu, Arun Kurian and Arya Salim.

Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’ (OYP) continues to do excellent business even after the opening weekend. The movie is having high occupancy in all major centres across Kerala. Common audience, especially families have lapped up the movie and that has reflected in the earnings. Since families visit theatres in good numbers during this holiday season, ‘OYP’ is certain to rake in high numbers at the box office.

‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’ is directed by debutant BC Naufal and scripted by Bibin George-Vishnu Unnikrishnan duo. As promised by the makers, the movie is a full-on fun filled mass entertainer on the lines of the writer duo’s previous films, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan’.

The positive response from theatres and social medias suggest that the movie is a clean entertainer that audience of all ages groups can enjoy. Thanks to the presence of actors like Salim Kumar, Soubin Shahir, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Hareesh Kanaran, Dharmajan and Baiju, the movie has plenty of fun moments.

Pathinettam Padi release date announced?

Actor-writer Shankar Ramakrishnan’s directorial debut ‘Pathinettam Padi’ is currently in the post-production phase. The movie is eagerly awaited by a section of audience as it has some big star presence. Though the lead roles are played by newcomers, the cast also include stars like Mammootty, Prithviraj and Unni Mukundan. There is a buzz going around in social medias suggesting that the movie will be hitting screens on June 28. However, the makers are yet to confirm this.

‘Pathinettam Padi’ has megastar Mammootty in an extended cameo role. Mammootty plays a character named John Abraham Palackal and he sports a new look in the movie. It is said to be a very prominent character that takes the story forward. Prithviraj and Unni Mukundan will also be seen in guest appearances. The two shot together for their portions only recently.

The cast also comprises of Priya Anand, Saniya Iyappan, Ahaana Krishna, Maala Parvathy, Biju Sopanam and many others. The technical side mostly includes newcomers. Cinematography is handled by Sudeep Elamon while music is done by KH Kaashif. Bhuvan Sreenivas is the editor. August Cinema is producing the movie.

Vicky Kaushal is one of the most wanted stars in Bollywood right now. The huge success of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has made him a popular face across the country. He is currently shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s new film titled Sardar Udham Singh. Vicky plays the titular role in the movie.

Sardar Udham Singh is an early 20th century revolutionary who was active in the Indian independence movement. Udham Singh was best known for his assassination of Michael O’ Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of the Punjab in India. The assassination was in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in. Singh was subsequently tried and convicted of murder and hanged.

Earlier in the day, director Shoojit Sircar took to his official social media handle to share a couple of location stills. Vicky Kaushal looks intense in the photos and promises to deliver another excellent performance. The movie is co-written by Ritesh Shah of ‘Pink’ fame and Shubendu Bhattacharya of ‘Madras Cafe’ fame. It is being produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.

Android Kunjappan Version 5.25: Soubin Shahir’s next starts rolling

As reported by us earlier, Soubin Shahir is starring in a new movie titled as ‘Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25’. The movie directed by debutant Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval has started rolling in St. Petersburg, Russia. The movie’s first look poster had Soubin and a robot, and from the quirky title, we presume it to be a fun film revolving around a humanoid robot.

Director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval has previously worked as a production designer in Bollywood films like ‘Force’, ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. For his directorial debut, he has got a very strong technical crew. Sanu John Varghese, who has worked in films like ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’, ‘Wazir’ and the ‘Vishwaroopam’ series has been signed as the cinematographer. Bijibal is the music director and Saiju Sreedharan will be handling the edits.

The makers were recently on the look for a Japanese actor to play the female lead. More details regarding the other cast members are not yet known. Santhosh T Kuruvilla of Moonshot Entertainment is producing the movie.

Director Omar Lulu had already announced that ‘Chunkzz’ team will be coming together for his next film. The movie which is said to be the sequel will have Balu Varghese, Honey Rose, Ganapathi, Dharamajan, Siddique, Lal, Vishak Nair, Hareesh Kanaran and Mareena Michael in major roles. Along with them, a leading star from Bollywood will also be there in a guest role.

Earlier, there were reports about Omar Lulu trying to rope in famous pornstar Mia Khalifa for ‘Chunkzz 2’. It was reported that a Mumbai based production company had also initiated talks with the representatives of Mia Khalifa, but nothing materialized. Sunny Leone’s name is also doing the rounds in social medias. Let’s wait for the official word.

‘Chunkzz’ was an youthful comedy entertainer that got heavily panned by the critics for its adult jokes. But the movie still managed to emerge as a big hit at the box office. The sequel, which is titled as ‘Chunkzz 2: Conclusion’ is scheduled to start rolling from the first week of May.

Dhanush-Manju Warrier starrer Asuran nears completion

As we already know, Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran are teaming up for a new movie titled ‘Asuran’. The movie is currently in the final stages of shoot. Last leg of shoot commenced last day. The movie which is based on Poomani’s novel ‘Vekkai’ novel is said to be a rural drama set between 60s and 80s.

‘Asuran’ has Dhanush playing a dual role as father and son. He sports a 45-year-old look, which was revealed in the first look poster. Actor Karunas’ son Ken plays the younger version of the son character. Malayali actress Manju Warrier makes her Tamil debut with this moviem Pasupathi is also essaying a prominent role. GV Prakash is composing the music and R Velraj is cranking the camera.

Dhanush has previously collaborated with director Vetrimaaran for acclaimed films like ‘Polladhavan’, ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Vada Chennai’. All the aforementioned films were critically and commercially successful. Likewise, ‘Vekkai’ is also expected to be a quality film from the duo.

Suriya’s much anticipated film NGK is getting ready for release. The movie directed by Selvaraghavan is a political drama. Dream Warrior Pictures is producing the movie. As reported earlier, the trailer and grand audio launch event was held today in Chennai. The trailer has also been released online.

NGK promises to bring back the terrific performer that Suriya is. The movie has him playing Nanda Gopala Kumaran, a small time politician who makes his way up to become an MLA. Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh are the two female leads in the movie. Bala Singh, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Guru Somasundaram and Aruldoss are also part of the supporting cast.

NGK has high expectations as Suriya is teaming up with Selvaraghavan for the first time. The director is well known for helming several cult films in the last. Amidst huge hype, the movie will be releasing worldwide on May 31.
