Oru Yamandan Premakadha global audio launch to be held at Dubai

As ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’ (OYP) gears up to hit screens on April 25, the makers have arranged for a global audio launch. The event will be held on April 20 at IBN Battutta Mall in Dubai. Nadirshah, Samyuktha Menon, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George will be attending the audio launch.

OYP directed by BC Noufal and scripted by Vishnu Unnikrishnan-Bibin George duo is touted to be a fun filled mass entertainer. Dulquer Salmaan’s character Lallu is a local chap from the rural side of Kochi. The movie is a romantic comedy with two female leads in Nikhila Vimal and Samyuktha Menon. Dileesh Pothan, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Bibin George, Arun Kurian, Hareesh Kanaran, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Salim Kumar and Soubin Shahir are also part of the supporting cast.

OYP marks Dulquer Salmaan’s comeback to Malayalam after over a year, so expectations are high. Also the writer duo, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George’s last two films, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan’ were big hits at the box office. As per the makers, OYP is a clean entertainer that can be enjoyed by audience of all groups.

Wrapping up the character poster series, the makers of ‘Lucifer’ have released the final poster featuring Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab’raam. The final revelation that comes at the tail end is one of the movie’s major highlights. Mohanlal’s extremely stylish look and the snow laden background in Russia, all makes up for a mass-y sequence that sent the audience into frenzy mode.

Ever since the release of ‘Lucifer’, there have been talks about the possibilities of a sequel, as the movie has a very intriguing open ended climax. The makers had also added fuel by hinting about it frequently. While sharing the new Khureshi Ab’raam poster, director Prithviraj has written,

Earlier, Murali Gopy had said that ‘Lucifer’ was designed as a franchise. The makers had also shared a photo of an iceberg, further suggesting that what we got to see in ‘Lucifer’ is only the tip of the iceberg. All this suggests that there’s more to come from the world of Lucifer and Khureshi Ab’raam.

Meanwhile, the movie continues to do tremendous business in the box office.It has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark and will soon break ‘Pulimurugan’ record to emerge as the highest ever grosser in Malayalam.

Mammootty starrer ‘Madhura Raja’ continues to run to packed audience. After raking in over Rs 9 crores from its first day, the movie is going strong with several shows added in major centres to accomodate the crowd. As per the trackers, the movie has grossed bigger on the fourth day, which also happened to be the Vishu day, than what it earned on the opening day.

In what is said to be the first, a special late night show was added last day in Ernakulam’s iconic 1200 seater Saritha theatre. Since it’s the holiday season, families and kids are visiting theatres in large numbers to catch Raja in action. Apart from doing excellent business in Kerala, the movie is also doing well in overseas centres, particularly in UAE.

‘Madhura Raja’ directed by Vyskah and scripted by Udhayakrishna has delivered exactly what it promised – a complete mass entertainer for the festival season. It is the kind of film that the audience love to watch during this season.

Parvathy starrer ‘Uyare’ is an eagerly awaited movie. The movie directed by debutant Manu Ashokan and scripted by Bobby-Sanjay has an an acid attack survivor as the protagonist Parvathy plays the lead role of Pallavi Raveendran, a pilot aspirant whose dreams are shattered by an acid attack.

According to writers Bobby and Sanjay, Parvathy is currently the best female actor in Malayalam and they had no other option than her for this movie. In a recent interview, the duo was all praise of Parvathy for her dedication and the kind of efforts she had put in for the movie.

Prior to shoot, Parvathy had visited the Sheroes Hangout in Agra. She visited the cafe which is run by a group of acid attack survivors to learn about their lives, their current lifestyle and how the attack affected them, both physically and mentally. Besides that, the actress had also learnt the basics of aircraft flying from an aviation institute.

‘Uyare’ also stars Asif Ali and Tovino Thomas in major roles. Samyuktha Menon, Anarkali Marakkar, Siddique and Prathap Pothen are also part of the cast. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Mukesh Muraleedharan, editor Mahesh Narayanan and music director Gopi Sunder.

S Cube Films, a newly launched banner, is producing the movie. After the good response to the posters and songs, the makers have decided to release the trailer. It will be out online tomorrow at 5 PM.

As reported by us recently, Jeethu Joseph’s next film will be in Tamil with Karthi. Jyothika is also playing a prominent role in the movie as Karthi’s sister. This is her first film with brother-in-law Karthi, and it will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry. The movie will also have Malayali actor Anson Paul in a crucial role.

Jeethu Joseph is working on the script with Rensil D’Silva and Manikandan. The makers are planning to start shooting from June. An official announcement with full details regarding the cast and crew will be made shortly. Bollywood based production giant Viacom 18 is producing the movie. Jyothika’s brother Suraj is also said to be part of the production.

Karthi is currently shooting for his new film with ‘Remo’ director Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Touted to be an action cum family drama, the film marks the Tamil debut of South Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna. Jyothika meanwhile is working on a movie titled ‘Ratchasi’. The movie directed by debutant S.Raj has her playing the role of a government school teacher.

Dileep has been working on KP Vyasan’s ‘Shubharathri’ for the past one month. The movie is currently in the final stages of shoot and will soon enter the post-production phase. As per latest reports, the makers are planning to release the movie for July.

‘Shubharathri’, written and directed by Vyasan, is a movie based on some real life events. It has an elaborate cast comprising of Anu Sithara, Siddique, Shanthi Krishna, Nadhirshah, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Asha Sarath, Sheelu Abraham, Hareesh Peradi, Manikandan, Saiju Kurup, Sudhi Koppa, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Prashanth, KPAC Lalitha and Thesni Khan. Music director Bijibal and lyricist BK Harinarayanan will also be appearing in cameo roles.

The movie also has a good technical crew. Alby is wielding the camera and music department is being handled by Bijibal. Hemand Harshan is the editor and Renganaath Ravee is in charge of sound design. Abraham Mathew of Abaam Movies is producing the movie.

Suriya’s new film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ with director Sudha Kongara went on floors recently. The movie has Malayali actress Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. It is her third Tamil film after ‘8 Thottakkal’ and ‘Sarvam Thaala Mayam’. Aparna has already completed the first schedule of ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Sharing a photo taken with Suriya in her social media handle, she has written,

‘Soorarai Pottru’ is scripted by Shalini Usha Nair and Sudha Kongara. Vijay Kumar of ‘Uriyadi’ fame is said to have penned the dialogues. There are unconfirmed reports about the movie being a biopic on GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan and a retired captain of the Indian army.

GV Prakash is the music director and Niketh Bommireddy is handling the cinematography. Academy award winner Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment is producing the movie jointly with Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.

We had earlier reported about Prithviraj teaming up with Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr for a movie titled ‘Driving License’. Sachy is scripting the movie, which also has Suraj Venjaramoodu in a prominent role. The movie has Prithviraj playing the role of a superstar, who is crazy about luxury cars, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the role of a vehicle inspector.

The thread looks very promising and it remains to be seen how it eventually turns out. Cinematographer Ranadive of ‘CIA’ fame and composer of Sushin Shyam are said to be part of the technical crew. Prithviraj himself is producing the movie, which is slated to start rolling in June.

Jean Paul Lal is currently working on ‘Underworld’, which marks his debut as an actor. The movie directed by Arun Kumar Arvind has Jean playing a major role alongside Asif Ali and Farhaan Faasil. Prithviraj on the other hand will soon be joining the sets of ‘Brother’s Day’, the directorial debut of Kalabhavan Shajohn.

As Parvathy’s new film ‘Uyare’ gears up to hit screens, the makers have decided to release the trailer. The trailer will be out tomorrow (April 17) evening at 5 PM. The movie is directed by debutant Manu Ashokan and scripted by Bobby-Sanjay duo. S Cube Films, a newly launched banner, is producing the movie.

‘Uyare’ has Parvathy playing Pallavi, a pilot, who later becomes an acid attack victim. The actress is said to have given one of her finest performances for this movie. Prior to the shoot, Parvathy had taken efforts to learn about the lives of acid attack victims and also understand the basics of operating an aircraft. She had visited the Sheroes cafe in Agra, which is run by a group of women who survived acid attacks.

‘Uyare’ has high expectations as the team has some promising names. The movie has Asif Ali and Tovino Thomas in prominent roles. Others in the cast include Prathap Pothen, Samyuktha Menon, Anarkali Marakkar, Siddique and Prem Prakash. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Mukesh Muraleedharan, editor Mahesh Narayanan and music director Gopi Sunder.

Tovino Thomas has some very interesting projects in his kitty. Last day, on the occasion of Vishu, another new project of his was announced. The movie titled as ‘Forensic’ will be directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Sujith Vaassudev. Actor Prithviraj made the formal announcement through his social media handle. Unveiling the title poster, he had also written a note wishing luck for the team. His post reads,

Wishing Sujith Vaassudev, Akhil Paul, Tovino Thomas and the entire team of #Forensic the very best! Here is the announcement poster of the next #SujithVaassudev directorial!

This is Sujith’s third film as a director after ‘James and Alice’ and ‘Autorsha’. He has also worked with Tovino as a cinematographer in ‘7th Day’ and ‘Lucifer’. ‘Forensic’ is basically the reunion of the ‘7th Day’ trio of Sujith, Tovino and scriptwriter Akhil Paul. Akhil has scripted this movie jointly with Anas Khan.

‘Forensic’ is produced by Navis Xavier and Siju Mathew under the banner of Juvis Productions in association with Raju Malliath of Ragam Movies. It is scheduled to go on floors from October.
