Vandhipin Malore: Here’s the first song from Oru Yamandan Premakadha

Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’ (OYP) is gearing up to hit screens on April 25. The movie directed by BC Noufal and scripted by Vishnu Unnikrishnan-Bibin George duo is touted to be a colorful mass entertainer. As informed earlier by the makers, the first song from the movie has been released online. Nadirshah has composed the song and Santhosh Varma has penned its lyrics. Vidhyadharan Master has rendered the song.

Dulquer Salmaan is making his return to Malayalam after over a year, so fans are highly excited about OYP. Also the writer duo, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George’s last two films, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan’ were big hits at the box office.

As per the makers, OYP will be a clean entertainer that can be enjoyed by audience of all groups. It is a romantic conedy with two female leads in Nikhila Vimal and ‘Theevandi’ fame Samyuktha Menon. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Bibin George, Arun Kurian, Hareesh Kanaran, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Salim Kumar and Soubin Shahir are also part of the movie’s supporting cast. P Sukumar has cranked the camera and songs are composed by Nadirshah.

Anto Joseph is producing the movie under his banner, Anto Joseph Film Company.

Today, on the occasion of Vishu, the makers of Tovino Thomas’s upcoming movie ‘Kalki’ have released the first look poster. The movie directed by debutant Praveen Prabharam has Tovino playing a police officer. Shoot is currently progressing in Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu.

‘Kalki’ is said to be an action packed mass entertainer. Though Tovino has played cop roles in films like ‘Ezra’ and ‘Tharangam’, this will be his first film in which he will be seen in a full fledged police officer role. According to the makers, Tovino’s character in the movie will be larger than life like a typical mass hero. For the last few months, the actor had been putting on a lot of efforts to develop a bulky physique.

The first look poster of Mammootty’s upcoming film ‘Unda’ has just been released today on social medias. A refreshing change from the usual superstar films, where the focus is just on the star, this first look poster features not just the lead actor. A bunch of supporting actors are also seen in the poster along with Mammootty.

‘Unda’ directed by Khalidh Rahman of ‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’ fame is touted to be an comedy action thriller. Mammootty plays the role of a police inspector in the movie. The story penned by Khalidh revolves around a set of events that occur when an unit of policemen from Kerala reach the Naxalite prone areas in North India on election duty. Harshad has written the screenplay.

As announced earlier by the makers, the teaser of ‘Kaappaan’ has been released today on the occasion of Tamil New Year. The movie directed by KV Anand has a star-studded cast lead by Suriya and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Arya, Sayyeshaa, Boman Irani, Samuthirakani and Shamna Kasim are also playing prominent roles in the movie.

‘Kaappaan’ is touted to be an action packed thriller. The movie has Mohanlal playing the role of Indian Prime Minister and Suriya in the role of a high-rank National Security Guard (NSG) officer, who is in charge of the PM’s security. The story basically revolves around these two characters. Mohanlal and Suriya had shot together for their combination scenes in London, Chennai and in several locations in North India.

‘Kaappaan’ has cinematography handled by MS Prabhu and music by Harris Jayaraj. Lyca Productions is producing the movie, which is scheduled to hit screens in August this year.

It has been a while since Vikram has had a release. His last outing was the underwhelming ‘Saamy Square’. His next to hit screens will be ‘Kadaram Kondan’, directed by ‘Thoongavanam’ fame Rajesh M Selva. There is a buzz going around that the movie is most likely to hit screens on May 31. It must be remembered that Suriya starrer ‘NGK’ has also been scheduled for release on the same day. The Selvaraghavan directorial is one of the most awaited films of the year.

While NGK is a political thriller, ‘Kadaram Kondan’ is touted to be an action packed entertainer. The teasers of both the movies were highly intriguing and showed a lot of promise. Though the clash is yet to be confirmed, it will be interesting to see how things turn out if it materializes. ‘Madhura Raja’ continues to do good business at the box office as the movie is having excellent weekend bookings in all major centres. Since the holiday season has started, families are visiting theatres in large numbers. The second day had over 50 special night shows in various centres to accommodate the huge crowd.

‘Madhura Raja’ directed by Vysakh and scripted by Udhayakrishna has delivered exactly what it promised – a complete mass entertainer for the festival season.It is the kind of entertainer that families would love to watch during this holiday season.

As made official by the makers, ‘Madhura Raja has grossed a whopping Rs 9.12 crores from its first day of theatrical run. From the 261 screens in Kerala, ‘Madhura Raja’ collected Rs 4.20 crores. Outside Kerala (RoI), the movie was released in 281 screens and earned Rs 1.40 crores. In GCC it was 2.91 crores, 21 lakhs in USA, 11 lakhs in Europe and another 30 lakhs in other parts of the world.

Mohanlal’s new movie ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ is scheduled to go on floors from the last week of this month. Debutant director duo Jibi and Joju are helming the movie, which is said to be a full-on comedy entertainer. The movie will have Mohanlal as Ittymani, who is based in Kunnamkulam. He will be speaking in a funny Thrissur dialect in the movie.

‘Ittymaani’ will have music composed by Kailas Menon, who made his debut last year with the hit film ‘Theevandi’. All the songs in the movie were big hits, especially the romantic track ‘Jeevamshamayi’, which went on to become a sensation.
