Dhanush-Gautham Menon combo’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta dropped?

It has been three years since Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta (ENPT) went on floors. The movie directed by Gautham Menon had Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead roles. Like all other recent Gautham Menon films, ENPT also got delayed multiple times due to various reasons. Eventually, shoot was completed last year and everyone was hoping for its release this summer.

However, it is now being reported that the film has been dropped indefinitely. The teaser and songs that were uploaded in Gautham Menon’s YouTube channel Ondraga Entertainment have now been removed. Since only the post-production works remain, the makers are now trying to get a new production house to revive the project.

Gautham Menon’s other film ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ has also been shelved. After its trailer released last year, there have been no further updates about it. ‘Naragasooran’, a multi-starrer film he produced under his banner is also facing a similar roadblock. Its director Karthick Naren had openly come out against Gautham Menon for production issues and delay in release.

Gautham Menon is currently working on a web series based on the life of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minster J Jayalalithaa. Ramya Krishnan and Indrajith play major roles in it.

We were among the first to report about Malayali actor Sarath Kumar aka Appani Sarath starring in a Tamil web series based on the real life serial killer Auto Shankar. The series titled as ‘Auto Shankar’ is a ZEE5 Original and its teaser was released today by actor Nivin Pauly through his social media handle.

Ranga is directing the series and Appani Sarath is playing the titular role in it. Auto Shankar was the nickname of Gowri Shankar, a serial killer who was born to a Malayali father and a Tamilian mother. He was active in Tamil Nadu during the two years in 1988–1989. He was sentenced to death in 1991 after the court found him guilty in numerous murder and abduction cases.

Auto Shankar, the series, is being produced by Tridents Arts Digitals in association in with Baby Shoe Productions. Popular cinematographer Manoj Paramahasma has cranked the camera and Arrol Correli of ‘Pisasu’ fame handles the music department.

As informed earlier by the makers, the much awaited trailer of ‘Madura Raja’ has been released online. Mammootty shared the trailer through his official social media handle. The trailer delivers exactly what it promised, with ample mass moments and glimpses of some power packed action sequences.

Directed by Vysakh, the movie has Mammootty reprising the lead character from his blockbuster film, ‘Pokkiriraja’. Udhayakrishna, who had jointly scripted that film with Sibi K Thomas, has penned this one alone. Shaji Kumar has cranked the camera, edits are by Mahesh Narayanan and music is composed by Gopi Sunder. Peter Hein is the stunt choreographer.

‘Madura Raja’ cast comprises of four heroines in Anusree, Mahima Nambiar, Anna Reshma Rajan and Shamna Kasim. Tamil actor Jai, Jagapathi Babu, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijayaraghavan and Nedumudi Venu will also be seen in supporting roles in the movie.

Nelson Ipe is producing the movie. Though an official word has not yet been made, it is most likely to hit screens on April 12, Friday.

Mammootty starrer ‘Madura Raja’ is gearing up for release on April 12. The makers are currently busy with the promotions and as part of that, they had recently visited Abu Dhabi for the global launch. There it was revealed that Telugu producer NV Prasad had heard the script of ‘Madura Raja’ and expressed his wish to remake the movie. It must be noted that Chiranjeevi had also starred in the remake of Mammootty’s blockbuster film, ‘Hitler’. As of now, there is no confirmation regarding ‘Madura Raja’ remake.

The eagerly awaited trailer of Mammootty’s upcoming movie, ‘Madura Raja’ will be out today at 8 PM in social medias. Earlier, the teaser got great response from the viewers. It was an action packed teaser, likewise the trailer is also expected to be a goosebumps inducing one for the fans.

Last day, Dulquer Salmaan came live on his official Facebook handle to announce the release date of ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’ (OYP). During the casual interaction with his followers, Dulquer sounded very confident about the movie. He stated that it will be a clean entertainer that can be enjoyed by audience of all groups as it does not have any sort of vulgarity or double entendre.

‘OYP’ is directed by debutant BC Noufal and scripted by Vishnu Unnikrishnan-Bibin George duo. Expectations are high for the movie due to two major reasons. Dulquer is making his return to Malayalam after over a year, so fans are highly excited about it. Also the writer duo’s last two films, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan’ were big hits at the box office.

‘OYP’ is a romantic conedy that has two female leads in Nikhila Vimal and ‘Theevandi’ fame Samyuktha Menon. Govind Vasantha has composed four songs and background score for the movie. Murali Gopy hints at a possible sequel to Lucifer

‘Lucifer’ has successfully entered its second week of theatrical run and is still running with packed audience in most centres. The movie has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and is set to become one of the all-time highest grossers in Malayalam. Meanwhile, fans in social medias have been discussing about the possibilities of a sequel, as the movie has a very intriguing open ended climax.

When asked about the same to scriptwriter Murali Gopy, he hinted that there is more to come from ‘Lucifer’. According to him, though the movie looks like a mass entertainer, it is woven within multiple layers of codified dramatic clues. Recently, Murali and director had shared a photo of an iceberg, which further suggests that what we got to see on screen is only the tip of the iceberg. Prithviraj had also clearly written that, “there is more to Lucifer than what meets the eye”.

Regarding the possibility of a sequel, Murali is quoted saying to IBT, “Lucifer is definitely designed as a franchise, and it is very evident from its structure and progression that it is one”.

Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George have scripted the movie jointly. Asif Ali starrer ‘OP 160/18 Kakshi : Amminippilla’ is gearing up for release by the end of this month. As informed earlier, the first video song from the movie has been released in social medias. Mammootty shared the song through his official page. Samuel Aby has composed the song and lyrics is penned by Manu Manjith. Mustafa and Judith Ann have rendered the track.

‘Kakshi Amminipilla’ directed by debutant Dinjith Ayyathan is a court-room drama set in Thalassery. Sanilesh Shivan has scripted the movie which is centred around the case of a newly wed couple, Shajith Kumar Amminipilla and his wife Kanthi Sivadasan. Asif Ali plays the lead role of advocate Pradeepan Manjodi, a political aspirant who initially refuses but later takes up the case.

Others in the cast include Ahmed Siddique, Basil Joseph, Nirmal Palazhy, Sudheesh, Vijayaraghavan, Mamukkoya, Sreekanth Murali, Lukman, Babu Annur, Aswathy Manoharan, Shibla and Sarayu Mohan. The movie has songs composed by Arun Muraleedharan and Samuel Aby. Background score is done by Jakes Bejoy. Bahul Ramesh has wielded the camera and edits are by Sooraj ES.
