Telugu audience praise Manyam Puli
Mollywood’s all time blockbuster Pulimurugan was dubbed in Telugu as Manyam Puli. The movie was released yesterday in around 350 thetares. Upon release, the movie has been getting good response from the Telugu audience.
Mohanlal’s lead character is named as Kumar in the Telugu version. The movie discusses about the life of a wild hunter who is known for hunting down man eating tigers.
Telugu audience have appreciated Mohanlal’s stunning performance even at the age of 56. His performance in the action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein is the major highlight of the movie. Tweets are flowing in from the Telugu audience praising the movie.
The original version, Pulimurugan was released on 7 October 2016. The movie was made on a budget of ₹25 crores. With the sky high expectations and hype, it garnered great initial release and soon started breaking all preexisting box office records in Mollywood.
The movie has now grossed over ₹130 Cr worldwide. It became the first Malayalam movie to cross the elite ₹100 Cr mark.
Vysakh directed this movie for Udhayakrishna’s story and screenplay. The movie was funded by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam Films.
Telugu actor Jagpathi Babu played the antagonist in the movie. Other supporting actors include Kamalini Mukherjee, Kishore, Siddique, Lal, Bala, Namitha, Vinu Mohan, Makarand Deshpande, Suraj Venjaramoodu etc.
