Deepak Dev to compose music for Mohanlal’s Lucifer
Mohanlal’s much talked about Lucifer is finally going on floors from July this year. The project was first announced two years back when Mohanlal publicized that he will playing the lead in actor Prithviraj’s directorial debut, to be scripted by Murali Gopy. Ever since then, fans as well as the common audience have been eager to hear updates about the movie but the makers have remained tight-lipped all this while.
As the movie gets ready to start rolling, we gather some interesting information about the technical crew. Talks within the industry suggest that the highly-talented Deepak Dev has been signed as the music director. The composer shares a great rapport with Prithviraj as they have worked together in movies like Puthiya Mukham, Urumi, 7th Day and Adam Joan. Deepak Dev has also scored some memorable tracks for Mohanlal in Naran, Udayananu Tharam and Christian Brothers. He is expected to deliver his best for Lucifer as well.
Lucifer is perhaps the most hyped Malayalam movie in recent times. The fact that two big stars like Mohanlal and Prithviraj are teaming up for the first time itself triggers massive expectations. According to the makers, Lucifer will be a commercial mass entertainer pertaining to audience of all age groups.
Prithviraj has hinted that Lucifer, like all Murali Gopy scripts, will be an intense film that demands strong performances from the actors. There is a buzz going around that Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead, but it is yet to be confirmed by the makers. Script works have already been completed and pre-production works are currently progressing.
Reportedly, Lucifer’s shoot will be commencing on July 10 in Kochi. Trivandrum and Mumbai are said to be the other major locations. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
