Kabir Singh producer bags Master remake rights?
Vijay-Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Master’ continues to excel at the box office. The film hit screens on Wednesday and opened to largely positive response. Despite the pandemic situation and the government permitting only 50% occupancy in theatres, the film has already amassed huge figures. Meanwhile, talks have emerged about the film getting remade in Hindi.
Bollywood medias like Pinkvilla and Koimoi have reported that remake rights of ‘Master’ have been sold to ‘Kabir Singh’ producer Murad Khetani and Endemol Shine. It is reported that the rights have been bagged for a hefty price. Apparently, the makers are trying to rope in two big stars, just like the original, to play the lead roles. A confirmation regarding the remake is still awaited.
‘Master’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is an action-packed mass entertainer. The film’s biggest highlight is the face-off between the two stars, Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. Both the actors have equal importance in the film and it is their performances that take the film to the next level. Unlike the usual big star films, ‘Master’ has a powerful antagonist role and Vijay Sethupathi’s performance is being unanimously praised.
If news about the Hindi remake is true, it will be interesting to see the choice of actors. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
