Oru Mexican Aparatha first day collection; Tovino excels over Mammootty, Prithviraj and Dulquer Salmaan?
The highly anticipated campus political drama Oru Mexican Aparatha was released yesterday to rousing reception from the youngsters. The team of Oru Mexican Aparatha, including the director and producer have informed that the movie has grossed over Rs 3 crores.
Director Tom Emmatty revealed that the movie made a gross collection of Rs 3.25 crore on the opening day while producer Anoop Kannan while the talking to the media said that the movie grossed more than Rs 3 crores.
If the reports are to believed, then it is the second highest first day grosser in Malayalam cinema after Pulimurugan. Dulquer Salmaan’s last release Jomonte Suvisheshangal had registered Rs 2.71 crores from its opening day. Prithviraj’s Ezra grossed Rs 2.65 crores while Mammootty’s biggest opener Kasaba had grossed Rs 2.48 crores.
This shows the rising popularity of Tovino Thomas. With the release of OMA, Tovino has gone a step higher and achieved his first ever solo blockbuster. The movie was released amid high expectations among the youngsters majorly due to the movie’s slant towards the communist ideology.
Oru Mexican Aparatha also features Roopesh Peethambaran, Neeraj Madhav, Gayathri Suresh, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sunil Sukhada in supporting characters.
