Kunchako Boban starrer Kuttanadan Marpappa is gearing up for release. The movie is currently in the final stages of post-production and is expected to hit screens by next month. The makers released the teaser today evening via the movie’s official Facebook page.

Kuttanadan Marpapa marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Sreejith Vijayan. Kunchacko Boban plays John, a photographer in the movie, while Aditi Ravi of ‘Alamara’ and ‘Aadhi’ fame plays his romantic interest. Yesteryear actress Shanthi Krishna is playing a crucial role as Kunchacko Boban’s mother in the movie. She plays the character Mary Amma, a very jovial person who runs a ration shop.

The fun gang of Hareesh Kanaran, Ramesh Pisharody, Soubin Shahir, Dharamjan, Aju Varghese, Salim Kumar, Innocent and Tiny Tom are also part of the supporting cast. The movie promises to a full on fun entertainer with so many comedy actors part of it.

Kuttanadan Marpappa is jointly funded by Haseeb Haneef, Noushad Alathur and Aji Medayil. Arvind Krishna is the cinematographer and Rahul Raj is handling the music department. The movie is being presented under the banner of Malayalam Movie Makers and Grande Film Corporation.

As we had earlier reported, Suraj Venjaramoodu is playing the lead role in ‘Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri’, an upcoming movie directed by Jean Markose. Today, on the occasion of Maha Sivarathri, the makers have released the lead character’s introduction teaser through the movie’s official Facebook page.

Kuttanpilla is a stereotyped name for police constable characters in Malayalam cinema. This new teaser is actually a fun take on that. Suraj plays the lead role of a senior police constable in this movie, touted to be an intense family drama.

Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri scripted by Joselet Joseph promises to bring to fore the amazing actor in Suraj once again. He plays the role of Plachottil Kuttan Pillai, a 58-year-old police constable. The core plot of movie is about a series of events that happen in Kuttan Pillai’s house when his relatives – his children, their spouses and extended family – converge at his humble home to attend the annual Shiva Rathri festival.

Noted playback singer Sayanora Philip is turning a music director with this movie. Fazil Nazer is the cinematographer and Shibish K Chandran is handling the edits. Raji Nandakumar is producing Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri under the banner of Alanghat Productions.

As per latest reports, Mohanlal has wrapped up his portions for his upcoming movie Neerali directed by Ajoy Varma. He is now in Mangalore to join the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni. The movie directed by Rosahan Andrewss has Nivin Pauly playing Kochunni while Mohanlal will be essaying the role of Ithikara Pakki. Eventhough it is brief cameo, the charcarer has high importance in the plot.

Kayamkulam Kochunni, scripted by Bobby-Sanjay is based on the life of famous highwayman Kochunni, who was active in 19th century in the Travancore region. Ithikara Pakki,.the character being played by Mohanlal, was the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala; he and Kochunni were contemporaries. The combination scenes between Nivin Pauly’s Kochunni and Mohanlal’s Pakki will be the movie’s major highlight.

Mohanlal recently underwent an amazing body transformation by shedding around 18 kilos. So, his trimmed physique will help perform the ‘kalaripayattu’ portions effortlessly. Director Rosshan Andrewss had earlier revealed that Mohanlal will be sporting an entirely new look in the movie.

Kayamkulam Kochunni has noted South Indian actress Priya Anand playing the female lead. Sunny Wayne, Babu Antony and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh are also part of the supporting cast. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.

Sunny Wayne, Lal and Chemban Vinod to play the lead roles in French Viplavam

Sunny Wayne, Lal and Chemban Vinod Jose have been roped in to play the lead roles in an upcoming movie titled French Viplavam. The movie marks the directorial debut of Maju. This is the first time that the three actors will be sharing screen space together, so it will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry.

French Viplavam is scripted jointly by Anwar Ali, Shajeer Shah and Shajeer. Sasi Kallinga, Vishnu, Unnimaya, Arya and Krishna will be seen in supporting roles. The movie has its cinematography by Pappinu, music by Prashanth Pillai and edits by Deepu Joseph. Binu Murali is the production controller and art department is headed by Arun Venjaramoodu. Ronex Xavier is in charge of the makeup and costumes is designed by Kumar Edappal.

French Viplavam is being produced by Shajeer KJ and Jaffeer KA under the banner of Abba Creations. Shoot for the movie will be commencing on February 16 in Aluva.

The word of mouth is extremely positive for Hey Jude and that is reflecting in the audience count in theatres.

Apart from the common audience, many celebrities have also lavished praise on the movie and Nivin Pauly’s performance. Recently, actor Sunny Wayne posted a note in his Facebook page and after enjoying the movie. He has written,

Hey Jude !!!! It was completely a different cinematic experience and a superb work of art !!Movie had many fun filled moments which make you laugh your guts out. Nivin pauly as jude is by far his best character till date and you jus nailed it dear !!!

Hey Jude directed by Shyamaprasad is simple a feel good entertainer. The movie is scripted by newcomers Nirmal Sahadev and George Kanatt. Hey Jude is basically a coming-of-age story of Jude, an oddball. How love and understanding transforms Jude after befriending with his neighbor Crystal and her father Sebastian, a neuropsychologist, forms the crux of the story.

Nivin Pauly as the differently abled Jude has given his career best performance. Though the movie has only a handful of characters, all of them – Siddique, Trisha, Vijay Menon and Neena Kurup – have given a performance worth remembering for a long time. Ace filmmaker Gautham Menon recently ventured into making music videos. He started the label Ondraga Originals in an attempt to promote independent music and musicians in Tamil. The first single from their album, ‘Koova’ was a big hit. Their second song ‘Ulaviravu’ will be released tomorrow, on Valentine’s Day.

The big news is that young Malayali star Tovino Thomas is featuring in this music video with popular television host Divyadharshini aka DD. Actor Suriya will be releasing it tomorrow through his Twitter handle. Playback singer Karthik has composed this song, for which lyrics is written by Madhan Karky.

Ulaviravu is a romantic music video. A sneak peak clip was released last day in YouTube. While releasing it via his social media space, Gautham Menon had written,

Our 2nd song from ondraga originals. A genre I’m supposedly most comfortable with & with this song, an old world charm that I completely subscribe to.

After the success of Godha and Mayaanadhi, Tovino’s popularity is on the rise among the Tamil audience; Gautham Menon roping him in for his music is a testimony to that. His debut Tamil movie, Abiyum Anuvum, also a romantic flick, is due for release on March 9. He is also playing the villain role opposite Dhansuh in Maari 2.

Dulquer Salmaan is currently shooting in Chennai for his upcoming Tamil movie ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal’ (KKKA). The movie directed by debutant Desingh Periyasamy is a romantic travelogue. The makers have chosen the perfect occasion of Valentines Day (February 14) for unveiling the first look poster. Fans are very much excited to see Dulquer – the lover boy.

Telugu actress Ritu Varma is paired opposite Dulquer Salmaan in this upcoming movie. Ritu is well known for her performance in the superhit Telugu movie ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Dulquer plays the role of Sidharth aka Sid, a happy go lucky IT professional in this movie. The actor known for his penchant for trying different styles, will be seen sporting multiple looks in this movie.

Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal is his fourth Tamil movie after Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Solo (both bilinguals) and OK Kanmani. Unlike his previous films, KKKA will have some stylish heroic elements as his character will be a larger than life one. K M Bhaskar is cranking the camera for this movie.

Shoot for the movie commenced last November. After completing a brief first schedule in Delhi and Goa, the team were on a break for nearly a month. Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thota has been in the making for sometime now. The movie starring Dhanush and Megha Akash went on floors in 2016. Shoot for the movie got stalled midway as both the director and Dhanush got busy with other commitments. After a long gap, shoot resumed a couple of months and is now in the final stages.

Enai Nokki Paayum Thota is a romantic action thriller. According to Gautham Menon, it will be a stylish film with romance, action and reunion. The movie also stars ‘Baahubali’ star Rana Daggubati in a cameo role. The makers have released four songs from the movie and all of them have become hugely popular.

Darbuka Siva of ‘Kidaari’ fame is the music director of Enai Nokki Paayum Thota. Cinematography is handled by Jomon T John and Manoj Paramahamsa. Director Gautham Menon himself has produced the movie in association with Escape Artists Motion Pictures. The movie is expected to hit screens by mid 2018.
