Watch the beautiful title song of Prithviraj’s My Story!

Prithviraj-Parvathy starrer My Story is gearing up for release. The movie directed by debutante Roshni Dinaker is a romantic film shot in multiple schedules in Portugal and nearby areas. Recently, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day the makers released the title video song from the movie.

Shaan Rahman has rendered and composed this beautiful song, lyrics for which is penned by BK Harinarayanan. My Story scripted by noted actor/writer Shankar Ramakrishnan marks the reunion of Prithviraj and Parvathy after the blockbuster success of Ennu Ninte Moideen.

My Story is a feel good love story set in two time periods – in 1995 and today. The movie has Hollywood actor Roger Narayan playing the baddie. The supporting cast also includes Manoj K Jayan, Ganesh Venkatraman, Maniyanpilla Raju, Nandu and Sanju Sivaram among others.

Dudley and Vinod Perumal have cranked the camera. The movie is being produced by director Roshni Dinaker and OV Dinaker under the banner of Roshni Dinaker Productions. If reports are to be believed, the movie will hit screens on March 23.

Mohanlal plays a lorry driver in Bhadran’s next!

We had recently reported about Mohanlal reuniting with director Bhadran. The duo known for their films like Spadikam and Olympian Antony Adam are coming together for a road movie this time. Mohanlal plays a lorry driver in this movie which is high on action and adventure.

This yet-to-be-titled movie also stars Sarath Kumar and Ramya Krishnan in major roles. Mohanlal’s character has no name or identity, he is a wanderer. He will be sporting a rustic look for this character. Being a lorry driver he is someone who speaks all languages but doesn’t have a mother tongue as such. Majority of the movie’s portions will be shot in North India.

Mohanlal has previously played the role of a lorry driver in movies like Spadikam, Shikkar and Pulimurugan. All these movies have a special place in the actor’s filmography. His upcoming movie with Bhadran also promises to be one such mass entertainer. Fans are very much excited about this movie.

Pre-production works are currently progressing at a brisk pace. The makers were supposed to start shooting in February but the actor’s other commitments pushed the date further. They are now planning to go on floors by the end of April.

Shane Nigam is widely regarded as one of the most talented among the younger generation of actors in Malayalam cinema. He has showcased his terrific acting skills in films like Kismath, C/O Saira Banu, Parava and more recently in Eeda. Shane belongs to the rare breed of natural or realistic actors. He is effortless while performing emotional scenes, which is generally considered as the toughest thing to do in front of a camera.

However, there were complaints about the actor getting typecast in similar roles. Most of his movies had him playing a depressed youth, but this year promises to be different as he has signed for a handful movies belonging to different genres. Shaji N Karun’s Oolu, Kumbalangi Nights, Devan’s Painkili and Dimel’s Valiya Perunnal are some of his upcoming movies.

If reports are to be believed, Shane Nigam has bagged a crucial role in the highly anticipated ‘Lucifer’. The movie starring Mohanlal marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj. Murali Gopy is scripting this movie, which is said to be a thriller. Reportedly, Shane has been roped in to play an important role in the movie. Names like Tovino Thomas and Indrajith are also doing the rounds but an official announcement regarding the cast and crew have not yet been made. Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas is funding Lucifer which is slated to go on floors by May this year.

MG Sreekumar confirms Mohanlal-Priyadarshan duo’s Kunjali Marakkar!

Kunjali Marakkar is perhaps the most talked about project in Malayalam film industry in recent years. Two production houses – August Cinema and Moonshot Entertainment – have announced their projects with the two superstars of Malayalam industry, Mammootty and Mohanlal, respectively. While Mammootty’s movie will be directed by Santhosh Sivan, Priyadarshan will be calling the shots for Mohanlal’s movie.

Earlier in the day, Mammootty’s camp announced that their movie will go on floors in July. While there seemed to be no word from the other end, playback singer MG Sreekumar, a very close friend of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan, has come out stating that their version of Kunjali Marakkar will also be commencing shortly.

This is getting very exciting as both the teams have made it clear that they are moving forward with their projects. If things move this way, Malayali cine lovers can enjoy two versions of the same subject. Since both the movies have extraordinarily gifted craftsmen at the helm, a quality output is guaranteed.

Kunjali Marakkar was the title given to the naval chief in the 16th century, to protect the coast against the invading Portuguese army. There were four major Kunjali Marakkars during that era. Mammootty’s film is titled as Kunjali Marakkar IV, so, presumably it is based on the life of the fourth naval chieftain. Reports suggest that Mohanlal’s movie is also based the same chieftain as his story has the most interesting elements.

Kunjali Marakkar is perhaps the most talked about project in Malayalam film industry in recent years. Two production houses – August Cinema and Moonshot Entertainment – had announced their projects with the two superstars of Malayalam industry, Mammootty and Mohanlal, respectively.

An exciting bit of information came from Mammootty’s camp today. Producer Shaji Nadeshan shared a photo taken with Mammootty, Santhosh Sivan and Shankar Ramakrishnan in his Facebook page. Along with the photo, he has also written,

Kunjali marrakkar pre production works in full swing! Shoot starts july 2018

Ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan is directing Mammootty’s Kunjali Marakkar IV under the banner of August Cinema. TP Rajeev and Shankar Ramakrishnan are jointly scripting the movie after doing years of research works.

Kunjali Marakkar was the title given to the naval chief in the 16th century, to protect the coast against the invading Portuguese army. There were four major Kunjali Marakkars during that era. Mammootty’s film is titled as Kunjali Marakkar IV, so, presumably it is based on the life of the fourth naval chieftain.

Reportedly, August Cinema is planning to invest around Rs 50 crores for the movie. Besides Mammootty, some other big stars will also be part of the cast. However, the names have not yet been revealed. The makers are also in talks with foreign technicians to associate with this ambitious project.

Mohanlal joins the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni

Last day we had reported about Mohanlal wrapping up his portions for the upcoming movie Neerali directed by Ajoy Varma. He has now joined the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni in Mangalore. The movie directed by Rosshan Andrewss has Nivin Pauly playing Kochunni while Mohanlal essays the role of Ithikara Pakki. Both Nivin and director Rosshan Andrewss shared photos of Mohanlal joining the team in their respective Facebook pages.

Kayamkulam Kochunni, scripted by Bobby-Sanjay is based on the life of famous highwayman Kochunni, who was active in 19th century in the Travancore region. Ithikara Pakki, the character being played by Mohanlal, was the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala; he and Kochunni were contemporaries. Though Mohanlal’s is a brief cameo role, the character has great prominence in the movie. His combination scenes with Nivin Pauly will easily be the movie’s major highlight.

Mohanlal recently underwent an amazing body transformation by shedding around 18 kilos for Odiyan. So, his trimmed physique will help perform the ‘kalaripayattu’ portions effortlessly. Rosshan Andrewss had earlier revealed that Mohanlal will be sporting an entirely new look in the movie.

Kayamkulam Kochunni has noted South Indian actress Priya Anand playing the female lead. Sunny Wayne, Babu Antony and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh are also part of the supporting cast. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.

Tovino Thomas is very busy these days with multiple projects in his kitty. The motion poster of his upcoming movie was released today, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, through his official Facebook page. The movie directed by newcomer Fellini TP is said to be a political satire.

August Cinema, one of the leading banners in Malayalam film industry, is funding this movie. Tovino is playing the role of a lazy unemployed youngster named Bineesh in this movie scripted by Vini Viswa Lal.

Samyukhtha Menon is playing Tovino’s pair in this movie. She plays the role of a government employee who cleared the state’s PSC test and landed a job in a village office. This is her first film with Tovino and their on-screen chemistry is something exciting to look forward to.

Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saiju Kurup and last year’s National award winner Surabhi Lakshmi are also part of the movie’s supporting cast. Kailas Menon composes the music and cinematography is handled by newcomer Gautham Sankar. Appu Bhattadhari is handling the edits. Release date has not yet been announced.

It was only recently that ace filmmaker Gautham Menon ventured into music videos. He started the label Ondraga Originals in an attempt to promote independent music and musicians in Tamil. The first single from their album, ‘Koova’ was a big hit. The second song ‘Ulaviravu’ has been released today, on Valentine’s Day. Actor Suriya released the video through his Twitter handle.

Ulvairavu is a romantic music video about a couple’s date night. Young Malayali star Tovino Thomas and popular television host Divyadharshini aka DD feature in this music video. Playback singer Karthik has rendered and composed this song, lyrics for which is penned by Madhan Karky. Manoj Paramahmsa has done the cinematography and Praveen Antony has handled the edits.

After the success of movies like Godha and Mayaanadhi, Tovino’s popularity is on the rise among the Tamil audience. A veteran like Gautham Menon roping him in for his music is a testimony to that. The actor’s debut Tamil movie, Abiyum Anuvum, also a romantic flick is due for release on March 9. He is also set to join the sets of Dhansuh’s Maari 2 in which he is playing the villain role.

As announced earlier, the first look of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming Tamil movie ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal’ (KKKA) has been released today. The makers have chosen the Valentine’s Day occasion to release the first look. The movie directed by debutant Desingh Periyasamy is touted as a romantic travelogue.

Telugu actress Ritu Varma is paired opposite Dulquer Salmaan in the movie. Ritu is well known for her performance in the superhit Telugu movie ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Dulquer plays the role of Sidharth aka Sid, a happy go lucky IT professional in this upcoming movie. The actor known for his penchant for trying different styles, will be seen sporting multiple looks in this movie.

Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal is his fourth Tamil movie after Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Solo (both bilinguals) and OK Kanmani. Unlike his previous Tamil films, KKKA will have some stylish heroic elements as his character will be a larger than life one. K M Bhaskar is cranking the camera for this movie.

Shoot for the movie commenced last November. After completing a brief first schedule in Delhi and Goa, the team were on a break for nearly a month. This ongoing schedule in Chennai will last for about 40 days. The entire shoot have apparently been planned for 54 days. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made only after the completion of shoot.

The song from Omar Lulu’s upcoming movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ gained international level attention as it was shared virally across all major social media pages.

The song video has fetched over 95 lakh views in YouTube alone. This is by far a new record for a Malayalam song and the fact that it’s just been three days since it released, makes it a phenomenal achievement. The song has Several celebrities have also taken notice of this song and Priya’s cute expressions.

After the success of the song, the makers have released the movie’s teaser through the director’s official Facebook page. The teaser has been released as a Valentine’s Day special. The makers are cleverly making use of the humongous hype that the song has given. They will be hoping that the teaser also strikes a chord with the viewers.

Oru Adaar Love is a teenage love story featuring a bunch of newcomers in the lead roles. All the actors were cast through several rounds of auditions. Omar himself has penned the story while the screenplay is written by Sarang Jayaprakash and Lijo Panadan. Shaan Rahman is handling the music department. Sinu Sidharth is cranking the camera and Achu Vijayan is handling the edits.

The team is currently on a schedule break. Reportedly, the makers are reworking the script after the extraordinary response for the song. The movie is being produced by Ousepachan Vaalakuzhy under the banner of Ousepachan Movie House.
