AR Rahman to compose for Sivakarthikeyan’s next!

Sivakarthikeyan is currently basking in the glory of his latest release, Velaikkaran. The movie directed by Mohan Raja has found appreciation from the critics as well as the commoners. Velaikkaran has been declared as Sivakarthikeyan’s biggest hit till date, thereby showing his command at the Tamil Nadu box office once again.

Today, on the auspicious day of Pongal, the actor’s latest project was announced through his official Twitter handle. As reported by us earlier, the actor is teaming up with director Ravi Kumar, who made an impressive debut with ‘Indru Netru Naalai’ in 2015. While his debut film had a time-travel concept, the director’s next with Siva will be a science-fiction film.

Another major attraction of this movie is music maestro AR Rahman. This is the first time he is composing for a Sivakarthikeyan film and expectations will be humongous among the audience. More details regarding the project is expected to be announced very soon.

Reportedly, Sivakarthikeyan had committed for the project long back. The director and his team have been working on the script for over a year now as it demanded enormous time and effort for the pre-production work. RD Raja of 24 AM Studios will be producing this big budget film, marking his third time association with Sivakarthikeyan after Remo and Velaikkaran. This yet-to-be-titled movie will go on floors after he completes shooting his portions for Ponram’s ongoing rural rom-com entertainer.

It is heartening to see Sivakarthikeyan not confining himself to usual commercial films. With his lovable guy-next-door image, the actor has mostly done roles which offer him scope for humour. But, of late, we can see a consciuos attempt from the actor to try out different genres.
