Ajith’s bike stunts would be the major highlight of Vivegam: Director Siva
Thala Ajith is returning back after a two year gap with the highly anticipated spy thriller Vivegam. The movie marks his third film with director Siva after Veeram and Vedhalam. Vivegam is a big budget movie funded by Satya Jyothi Films.
Ajith plays an international agent in the movie and the team shot extensively in countries like Romania, Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Siberia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. Ajith has undergone a terrific makeover for the movie by shedding down a lot of extra pounds.
Director Siva in a recent inw to Times Of India, revealed how the action sequences in the movie have turned out. The teaser gave glimpses of some stunning action blocks. Siva says that the movie has three major action sequences. He assures that the bike stunts performed by Ajith will be the major highlight of Vivegam.
Like always, Ajith didn’t use any body double and performed all the stunts by himself. The bike stunts were overseen by foreign stunt choreographer Kaloyan Vodenicharov, who was taken by Ajith’s amazing ability to pull off the stunt sequences.
Siva shared one of those moments when the whole team was taken aback by Ajith’s bike riding skills. He is quoted saying, “After shooting for a scene, he asked if he could go for a ride. He zoomed past a distance, performed wheeling, did a doughnut before getting back to the spot doing a drifting. He used to be a bike racer but bike stunts are totally different from racing. We were shooting at subzero temperature with dim lights for getting the night effects. Due to snowfall the road was slippery and hence dangerous. It was a breath-taking moment for the team including the stunt master.”
Vivegam also stars Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Agarwal and Akshara Haasan in prominent roles.
Vetri has handled the cinematography and young sensation Anriudh Ravichander has composed the music. The movie is slated to hit screens worldwide on August 10.
