Kerala Box Office : Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum 4 Days Collection Report

Fahadh Faasil’s recent outing Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum opened to extraordinary reports from all the release centres. The movie marks the reunion of Fahadh with director Dileesh Pothan after the widely acclaimed Maheshinte Prathikaram.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum stars Fahadh Faasil, Suraj Venjaramoodu and debutante Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. Critics have given highly positive ratings for the movie. Word of mouth is also positive and is attracting the audience to theatres.

According to reports from our trade sources, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum has grossed Rs 6.31 crores from it’s 4 days theatrical run in the Kerala box office. There is a steep increase in the collections as the first day gross was Rs 1.51 crores. The figures will only increase in the coming days as positive word of mouth is spreading like wild fire.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is centred around a newly married couple who encounter a thief during a bus journey. They are taken to a police station and rest of the events are set in the police station and it’s premises. The movie is written by Sajeev Pazhoor and dialogues are co-written by Syam Pushkaran.

Rajeev Ravi has cranked the camera, Kiran Das has edited the film and Bijibal has handled the music department. The movie is produced by Sandeep Senan and Aneesh M Thomas under the banner of Urvashi Theatres.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is the latest outing from the Maheshinte Prathikaram duo of Fahadh Faasil and director Dileesh Pothan. The movie after much anticipation was finally released on June 30. It has opened to highly positive reviews from the critics as well as the common audience.

As the response is getting better each day, the makers have decided to release the movie outside India. It will hit screens outside the country today (July 7) onwards. The movie is having a wide release in countries like Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Brunei.

Tiyaan all set for a massive release tomorrow; Here’s the theatre list!

Prithviraj- Indrajith starrer Tiyaan is all set to hit screens tomorrow (July 7). The movie was initially scheduled to release on June 29, but got pushed due to delay in getting the censor clearance. Tiyaan is one of the most anticipated films of the season and rightly so, the movie has got a wide release.

The movie is releasing in around 400 centres all over India. In Kerala alone, it is releasing in over 200 theatres. Tiyaan is being promoted and publicised as a pan Indian movie. It has a plethora of stars including Prithviraj, Indrajith, Murali Gopy, Mrudula Sathe, Ranjeet, Padmapriya, Ananya, Shine Tom Chacko, Rahul Madhav, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prakash Bare and Paris Lakshmi among others.

Tiyaan is scripted by Murali Gopy and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar. The makers had informed that Tiyaan is a multi-genre attempt, first of it’s kind in Malayalam cinema. The movie is majorly set in the North Indian milieu. It is the story of two youths who get caught in the religious clashes in North India. Prithviraj is playing the role of Aslan Mohammed and Indrajith’s character is named as Pattabhiraman.

Tiyaan is made on a huge budget, one of the highest ever for a Malayalam movie. Haneef Mohammed of Red Rose Creations has funded the movie.

Asif Ali’s upcoming movie Sunday Holiday is gearing up for release. The movie, written and directed by Jis Joy stars Maheshinte Prathikaram fame Aparna Balamurali as the female lead.

New song from the movie was released today. Lyrics for the song ‘Mazha Paadum’ is written by the director Jis Joy himself. Aravind Venugopal and actress Aparna Balamurali have sung this romantic track composed by Deepak Dev.

Last week, the trailer of Sunday Holiday was released. It looks like clean feel good entertainer. Director Jis Joy is noted for his debut movie Bicycle Thieves also starring Asif Ali in the lead. According to him, Sunday Holiday will have a very realistic romantic thread told in a two layered narrative. One is about an incident that happens on a particular Sunday, while the rest will explore the life of a band set master and his son.

Sunday Holiday has two female leads in Aparna Balamurali and Pretham fame Shruthi Ramachandran. Alencier Ley Lopez, Asha Sharath, Nirmal Palazhy, Siddique, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, KPAC Lalitha and Sudheer Karamana are playing supporting characters in the movie.

Action Hero Biju fame Alex J Pulickal has cranked the camera and Ratheesh Raj has handled the edits. Sunday Holiday is produced by Sheen Helen under the banner of Maqtro Pictures.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam new song released

Basheerinte Premalekhanam is an upcoming rom-com entertainer directed by Aneesh Anwar. Farhaan Faasil and Mariyamukku fame Sana Althaf are playing the lead roles in the movie.

The song “Sumbharani” was released today through Malayalam Muzik247’s official YouTube channel. Farhaan Faasil, Sana Althaf and veteran actress Sheela feature in this song video. Arshid Sridhar has written the lyrics while Vishnu Mohan Sithara has composed and sung the track himself.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam promises to be a fun filled entertainer revolving around a set of villagers during the 80s. The movie is written jointly by Shinod Sivam, Bipin K Paulose and Shamseer Ahamed. Camera is cranked by the 20 year old Sanjay Harris, the youngest cameraman in Malayalam cinema history.

Veteran actors Madhu and Sheela are essaying pivotal characters in the movie. Mathew, Harish Kanaran, Aju Varghese, Shanavas, Suraj Harris, Sreejith Ravi, Sohan Seenulal, Sunil Sugatha, Manikandan Achari, Asha Aravind and Sivaji Guruvayoor are playing supporting roles in the movie.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam is produced by P M Harris and Mohammed Althaf under the banner Fort Entertainment.

Soubin Shahir’s debut directorial Parava is gearing up for release. The movie stars Shane Nigam and some newcomers in the lead roles. Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in an extended cameo.

First song from the movie was released today. Lyric video of the song ‘Pyaar Pyaar’ was released in YouTube via the official channel of Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. The song is written by Vinayak Sasikumar. Rex Vijayan has composed as well as lent his voice for this beautiful track.

Parava, as the title suggests, has a connection to birds and it is presumably about pigeon racing practiced in the Fort Kochi, Mattanchery regions in Kochi. The movie is jointly scripted by Soubin Shahir and Muneer Ali.

Little Swayamp, noted for his works in the music band Thaikkudam Bridge’s Navarasa series, is cranking the camera for this movie. Filmmaker Anwar Rasheed and Shyju Unni have produced this movie under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments.

Playback singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi has been conferred with a doctorate for her achievements as a playback singer as well as a gayathri veena expert. rare feat. International Tamil University based in America honoured Vijayalakshmi with the doctorate in a function held in Chennai. University chancellor Dr Selvin Kumar presented her the doctorate.

The University has awarded her the doctorate for her contributions to the music arena. Vijayalakshmi expressed her sincere gratitude to the university and well wishers for supporting her.

Recently, Vijayalakshmi secured a twin record by playing the maximum number of songs in the shortest time on Gayathri veena, a single string musical instrument. She played various songs on the Gayathri veena for five hours non-stop and secured a place in Asian Book of Records as well as in the Limca Book of Records

Vaikom Vijayalakshmi had recently called off her wedding after some unacceptable demands by her groom’s side. Not one to go down, the visually-challenged singer first set a new world record and has now been conferred with a doctorate.

Last week, we had reported about Hey Jude, an upcoming Nivin Pauly starrer directed by ace filmmaker Shyamaprasad. The movie marks the Malayalam debut of leading South Indian actress Trisha. Shoot for the movie was kick-started today in Goa with a customary Pooja ceremony.

Nivin Pauly, Trisha, Shyamaprasad and many others were present for the traditional launch event. As reported by us earlier, Hey Jude is a breezy musical romance set against the backdrop of Mangalore and Kochi. Veteran actors Mukesh, Prathap Pothen and Urvashi are also part of the cast.

Shyamaprasad is one of the most revered filmmakers in Mollywood. He has directed several critically and commercially acclaimed movies. He is known for sketching strong characters and Trisha had recently said that her role in Hey Jude is a very solid one with ample scope for performance. This is Nivin Pauly’s third film with the veteran filmmaker after English and Ivde.

Hey Jude is being produced by Anil Kumar under the banner of Ambalakkara Films. Girish Gangadharan, who won widespread appreciation for his work in Angamaly Diaries, is cranking the camera. The movie be shot across Mangalore and Kochi. It is expected to hit screens by the end of this year.

One of the most awaited Malayalam films of the year, Tiyaan is all set to hit screens tomorrow. It was initally scheduled to release on June 30 but had to be pushed to July 7 after failing to get the censor board clearance.

Tiyaan, written by Murali Gopy and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar has a plethora of stars as it’s cast. Prithviraj, Indrajith, Murali Gopy, Ananya, Padmapriya and many others are part of it’s cast. Superstar Mohanlal has lent his voice for the movie’s narration. But that’s not the only Mohanalal connect with Tiyaan.

The official trailer for his highly anticipated B Unnikrishnan directorial Villain will be released alongside Tiyaan tomorrow. The trailer will be screened in theatres during Tiyaan’s interval. Villain is eagerly awaited by Malayali audience as the movie has some big names associated with it.

Tamil actor Vishal, Manju Warrier, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth and Raashi Khanna will be seen in prominent roles in the movie, touted to be a crime thriller. Mohanlal is playing the role of Mathew Manjooran’s, an ex-cop. He will be seen in multiple looks in the film.

Rockline Venkatesh, who has produced films like Bhajrangi Bhaijaan and Lingaa is making his entry to Mollywood by producing this big budget Mohanlal starrer. Earlier, it was reported that the movie will be releasing on July 21 but now we hear that the release date has been postponed to August. We still await an official confirmation regarding the same.

Today marks the fifth anniversary of Thattathin Marayathu’s release. The Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial starring Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar in the lead roles was a huge success in the box office. As the movie celebrates it’s 5th anniversary, Nivin Pauly has shared it’s trailer in his Facebook page. He has also mentioned about a surprise for the audience which will be announced on this Saturday. His post reads,

That’s 5 years of Thattathin Marayathu! How quickly time passes & how it changed many of our lives. Thank you Vineeth Sreenivasan. While the memories are still mint fresh, there is a good news in connection to this. Watch out this space on Saturday eve, July 8th!

There is a buzz in social medias about a possible reunion of Nivin Pauly and Vineeth Sreenivasan for a new venture. The duo have been thick friends for years now and Nivin considers Vineeth as his mentor. The former made his debut in 2012 with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s debut directorial Malarvadi Arts Club. Two years later, it was again Vineeth who gave Nivin a big break and image makeover from a bearded rough guy to a charming romantic hero with Thattathin Marayathu. The duo last teamed up for the superhit family entertainer Jacobinte Swargarajyam, released last year.

It was reported that Vineeth will be taking a break from his professional commitments to spend time with his wife and newborn baby boy. So it is not yet clear if Vineeth is planning to wear the director’s hat once again. Nivin on the other hand has a list of movies lined up in his kitty. He is currently busy shooting for Geetu Mohandas’ Moothon while awaiting the release of his first straight Tamil movie Richie.

Besides that, he has committed for two other movies in Tamil; both with debutant filmmakers, Hey Jude with Shyamaprasad and Rosshan Andrews’ movie based on Kayamkulam Kochunni, written by Bobby-Sanjay.

Let’s keep the guessing game on till Saturday evening to see if Vineeth and Nivin join hands once again.
