Malayalam Actor Siju Wilson Wedding Stills Photos

Promising young actor Siju Wilson, noted for his roles in movies like Neram, Premam and Happy Wedding, got married to his longtime love Sruthi on May 28 at Kochi.

The couple had two wedding ceremonies. A traditional Hindu wedding in the morning was followed by a Christian wedding in the evening at St Dominic Church, Aluva. A grand reception was also held at the Angamaly Convention Centre, Thuravoor.

The wedding was attended by his close friends Nivin Pauly, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Shankar, Shekhar Menon and Sharafudheen. Directors Lal, Omar Lulu, Althaf and Alphonse Puthren were also present at the reception.

Nivin Pauly is currently on a high after turning a dad for the second time. His wife Rinna recently gave birth to a baby girl. The couple have a 5 year old son Dhaveedh. Nivin shared the arrival of the baby girl to his followers through his official Facebook page.

Nivin has now owned a Mini Cooper S and gifted for his little one. The actor shared the photo in his Instagram account. Nivin and Rinna Joy were college mates at FISAT. They got married on 28 August 2010 at St. Dominic Church in Aluva, Ernakulam.

On the professional front, Nivin Pauly’s last outing Sakhavu continues to do good business in the Kerala box office. His next release will be Richie, his first straight Tamil movie directed by debutant Gautham Ramachandran. He has finished portions for debutant Althaf Salim’s Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela. The movie, touted to be a family entertainer is expected to hit screens in July. Nivin, meanwhile is busy is shooting for Geetu Mohandas’ Moothon in Kozhikode.

Apart from that he has a slew of exciting projects in his kitty. He has committed for two movies in Tamil, a romantic entertainer with Major Ravi, a movie with Shyamaprasad titled as Hey Jude and Rosshan Andrrews- Bobby- Sanjay trio’s movie on Kayamkulam Kochunni. Busy days ahead for the actor!

Sachin: A Billion Dreams, one of the most anticipated film of this year, hit screens worldwide on May 26. It was released in 2400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas. The film opened to largely positive reports from the critics.

After raking in Rs Rs 8.40 crores on it’s first day at the Indian box office, the movie has earned Rs 9.20 crores on the second day (Saturday). This is a collective figure from all five languages (Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, English) in which the movie was released.

The marginal growth in figures is there to be seen. This will be very heartening for the makers as they released the movie even before the Baahubali wave could settle down.

The film has collected Rs. 17.80 crore in just two days. This is already the highest ever numbers for an Indian docudrama release in theaters. By the end of it’s weekend run, the movie is expected to have done a business of around 28-29 crores.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a docu-drama. This kind of opening is normally seen for mainstream movies. The brand Sachin Tendulkar is pulling the audience to theatres. Trade experts believe that the collections will be steady for the next few days.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is written and directed by British filmmaker James Erskine. The film showcases the legend’s journey to become the world’s best cricketer. Apart from Sachin’s cricket and personal, it also revelas certain unknown aspects of his life.

Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, kids Sara and Arjun, cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag are all part of the movie. The film was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Marathi and English. It was later dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner of 200 NotOut Productions. Oscar Award winner AR Rahman has composed the music.

Rajamanikyam producer Valiyaveetil Siraj passed away

Film producer Valiyaveetil Siraj has passed away. He was 56 years old. He breathed his last at around 5 AM in a private hospital in Kochi.

He was under treatment for intestinal problems. The funeral will be held today evening at Thottathupadi Jumma Masjid, Ernakulam. He has produced movies like Rajamanikyam, Aparichathan and Prajapathi.

The Baahubali glory has not yet settled and looks like it will not settle anytime soon. Ever after a month of it’s release, the movie is doing fabulous business in both the domestic and overseas markets.

Not just the business, it still continues to garner appreciation from all corners. Recently, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui praised SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in Twitter. He was mighty impressed by Prabhas’s performance in the film.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui wrote in his Twitter space, “I had seen Baahubali 2 and the atmosphere created in the film pulled me into it. Prabhas’s act was fantastic.

This is not the first time that a Bollywood celebrity is praising the film. Earlier big names like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh congratulated the team for the success.

This SS Rajamouli directorial has created history with its box-office collection. The film has already crossed the 1600 crore mark. In the twin states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone, the movie has earned more than Rs 300 crores.

Baahubali 2 is now the highest grossing Tamil film after superstar Rajinikanth’s Enthiran. In Kerala, it has earned more than Rs 60 crore. Overall, the movie has earned more than 1250 crores from the Indian box office form all four languages (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam).

The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 is doing some tremendous business. The first week collections amounted to a whopping Rs 246.47 crore, followed by Rs 142.52 crore in it’s second week and Rs 67.25 crore in it’s third week.

The Prabhas- Rana Daggubati starrer, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has shattered all previous box office records for an Indian movie in the domestic and international markets. In countries like UK and the US, the movie has grossed higher than most Hollywood films.

Release date confirmed for Dileep’s Ramaleela

Actor Dileep has had a lean phase with his last few releases; Pinneyum, Welcome to Central Jail and Georgettan’s Pooram failing to do well at the box office. The actor’s next release will be Ramaleela, a political thriller.

The movie will mark the directorial debut of ad filmmaker Arun Gopi. According to latest reports, Ramaleela will hit screens on July 7. The movie is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam’s banner Mulakupadam Films. This Dileep starrer is his next production after the all time blockbuster Pulimurugan.

Ramaleela is a political thriller told in an entertaining format with humour. Noted scenarist Sachy has scripted this movie. This is the first time Sachi is scripting for another director after turning a filmmaker with Prithviraj’s superhit romantic movie Anarkali.

Prayaga Rose Martin will be seen as the female lead opposite Dileep. Veteran Kollywood actress Radhika Sarathkumar is making a comeback to Kollywood after two decades through this movie. Renji Panicker is also playing a pivotal role.

Dileep will be seen as an MLA in this movie. The actor has previously played the role of politicians in movies like Lion and Nadodi Mannan. But, Ramaleela will be a different kind of movie with thrilling elements narrated in a humorous format.

Pulimurugan’s cinematographer Shaji Kumar has cranked the camera while Vivek Harshan is in charge of the edits. Gopi Sunder is handling the music department.

Kerala Box Office: Ramante Edanthottam 15 Days Collection Report

Kunchacko Boban’s latest release Ramante Edanthottam hit screens all over Kerala on May 12. This is his second release of the year after the super hit movie Take Off.

Ramante Edanthottam, written and directed by Ranjith Sankar opened to mixed reviews from the critics. The movie is a feel good entertainer revolving around the relationship between Raman and Malini, played by Anu Sithara. The lead pair’s chemistry was well appreciated by the critics. Aju Varghese, Ramesh Pisharody, Muthumani, Joju George and Sreejith Ravi have essayed the supporting characters in the movie.

As per reports from trade sources, Ramante Edanthottam has managed to gross Rs 4.38 crores from it’s 15 days run in the Kerala box office. This is a below average figure. The mixed reviews, minimal hype and it’s release amidst biggies like Dulquer Salmaan’s CIA and Baahubali have all backfired for the movie.

We had earlier told you about Major Ravi teaming up with young star Nivin Pauly next for a romantic entertainer. The news came in as a big surprise for everyone, as Major Ravi is generally associated with army based movies and action entertainers.

According to latest reports, the team is planning to start shooting by the end of this year. Popular cinematographer Jomon T John will be entering production through this big budget romantic entertainer. He is also cranking the camera while Gopi Sunder will handle the music department for this movie.

Major Ravi had earlier revealed that his movie with Nivin Pauly will be a love story based on true incidents. He had informed that the movie based on the basic theory that love always wins because you are ready to do anything for it.

This yet to be titled movie will have a huge star cast and will be made on a big budget. A newcomer will be playing the female lead and the team is currently on the lookout for a suitable girl.

Major Ravi’s last release 1971 Beyond Borders starring Mohanlal in the lead was a huge disappointment both critically and commercially. So the director will be looking forward to correct his mistakes and flesh out a better output.

Nivin Pauly meanwhile has finished his portions for debutante Althaf Salim’s Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela. He is currently shooting for Geetu Mohandas’s upcoming movie Moothon in Kozhikode. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Rima Kallingal will be playing the lead roles in the upcoming movie Aabhaasam. The movie is written and directed by debutante Jubith Namradath.

As the name suggests, Aabhaasam is said to be a satire revolving around a group of passengers travelling in a bus. Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudhi Koppa, Indrans, Sujith Sankar, Sheetal Shyam and Abhija will be seen playing supporting characters. The movie will also feature a host of newcomers, auditions for which are on in full swing.

Aabhaasam is produced jointly by Rajeev Ravi’s Collective Phase One and Sanju S Unnithan’s Spire Productions. Prasanna S Kumar, noted for his work in Tamil movie Pichaikaaran has been roped in to crank the camera. Editing will handled by Shameer Mohammed, who was in charge of the cuts in movies like Charlie and Angamaly Diaries. Songs will be composed by debutant Oorali and the background score will be handled by Dev.

Aabhaasam will go on floors on July 8 in Thrissur.

Recently, the Indian government banned the sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets across India. Cattle like bulls, bullocks, cows, buffaloes, steers, heifers and calves and includes camels should not be slaughtered in the country. The regulation for cattle business allows only farmland owners to trade at animal markets.

Following this announcement, there was a huge uproar from the citizens. There were widespread protests and social medias was flooded with discussions on how the government can take such a decision.

Meanwhile, there are reports about lab-grown meat entering the Indian market. Experts believe that lab-grown meat will be a booming industry in the next five years.

Memphis Meats, a Silicon Valley based food-tech startup are trying to get their lab-grown meat, which includes chicken, duck and beef, on a supermarket shelf within the next five years.

In March, the company announced that it created the world’s first chicken strip from animal cells, following their animal-free meatball debut in 2016. Memphis Meats is one of the many startups aiming to disrupt the $200 billion meat and poultry industry. Companies like Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat already have meat substitutes that are made from plants, not animal cell tissue in the markets.
